So happy with my new car!

Great experience buying my new car from Ron Tonkin Kia. My salesman Jacob Ryan was very knowledgeable and very patient with me. I love love my new car and the experience I had was awesome!

Terrible customer service

Only go here if you enjoy bad communication and expensive services. Went in for a check engine light (twice) on our Kia Soul. They push you to run tests that are seemingly unnecessary, and lack the ability to explain the reasoning for said tests. They suggested a engine compression check, which two mechanics told us not to do, after an initial diagnosis came back negative. We went ahead a did it. It yielded no results and cost us $800 in the process. (This included a minor cable repair). This seemed like an expensive unnecessary diagnostic test. Come to find out they had already determined what was causing the misfire. Increasing the overall cost or repairs to over $2300. The service department is hard to get a hold of, and their communication for updates is outdated. Only go here if you have the time to make multiple calls throughout the day in order to get a hold of anyone, or to get any sort of update. Cost breakdowns are not provided, even when making multiple attempts to get a general breakdown of the estimated charges. Lastly, when dropping the car off we were never given a estimated time for how long the car would be in the shop. Our car would be in the shop for nearly 2 weeks and we were never suggested or offered a car rental service or asking if not having the car for this long would be a problem. Once finding out how long that car would be out, it was already taken apart, and there was no option (besides paying) for us to get it back while waiting for the needed part to come in. The car is now repaired and seems to be working great. I wouldn't fault the mechanics for the lack of communication. But, I would suggest they work on transparency, and a better system for communication.

Do not use!

Do not use!!! Vehicle was broken into while in there custody for repair, no cameras to protect you vehicle, that way the don't have to take any responsibility for letting theifs walk around there dealership!!! They have gone bad ! Just a bunch of kids playing car dealership! Avoid this place, When my daughter was ready to buy herself a new car we went there looking for a sedan, the "sales guy" was to busybon his phone to show her any and was just pushing Rio's on her, Went to Westen Kia, that where she started her car buying adventures, now 2 cars later she loves them Now my second daughter just bought her second car from them Back story.... I've bought 2 new kias from Tonkin, but never again!! I will spend as much effort as I can to spread the word about Ron Tonkin Kia Being untrustworthy and a bunch of crooks, How they have a high rating is beyond me Mabey there doing the own reviews to up there score!! I highly recommend the Ron Tonkin Kia dealership and our sales person, Jaron Watkins. Jaron is extremely well versed on all the safety features and the entire process was pressure free. He also delivered the 2023 Sportage Hybrid to us along with all the paperwork, saving us a trip back to the dealership. Professional and attentive to our needs.

Fantastic experience

Great experience working with Jaron and Donovan. Highly recommend either of these two. Process was quick and easy. Signing the paperwork did take a bit longer than usual since there were 3 others immediately in front of us. But overall totally recommend.

I had a great experience working with Jared Peters during the purchase of my new 2022 KIA Forte.

very poor customer service

I recently purchased a forte from this KIA dealership, and 5 days later when I had a very simple and important question that needed to be answered. which was " when is my first payment" service says wrong department transfers to sales, salesperson tells me finance are the only ones who can answer my question. I hang up the phone and call finance finance does not answer, I try periodically for almost 30 minutes as I would like to resolve this as soon as possible. after failing to reach finance after 5 - 10 calls. I reached out to service again and was hung up on. I reached out to sales and a new sales agent answered and tells me about a 45 day first payment policy they have and I will receive something in the mail about a week before my payment is due. I ask for reference materials or statutes proving this isn't some made up thing as ive seen online that missing a first payment equals an automatic default and this is the most expensive car note ive ever carried. then he immediately tells me the sales person I spoke to previously went to finance and says my first payment is due exactly 30 days from the day I purchased my car. so who is right? I am very confused and my paperwork has N/A in the due date section. 0 stars, very bad phone staff and this is coming from someone whos worked customer service for more than a decade. Jose was easily the best guy in the building.
