I set up a tentative appointment with Jeff Dessault for around noon. I arrived on time and went inside, i was interested in a 2008 Toyota Sienna van. Jeff... appeared to be the only available employee and was ingaged in conversation with another customer. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes and was not even acknowledged. I went outside to look over the prospected vehicle to find it locked. I crawled under the van to check out the chassis and other components accecable to my view and immediately noticed surface rust indicative of the vehicle sitting a long period and not having the underside properly cleaned. I also inspected the brakes and found that all the pads were all due to be replaced within A few thousand miles. As I inspected the suspension I notice the front passenger side spring had about 1.5 less coils than the drivers side. I'm no mechanic but I do know suspension parts should match and be replaced as a pair. Upon further investigation I found the broken portion of the passenger side spring resting loose on top of the shock mount. I brought the loose broken spring back inside the show room and set it on the counter. This time Jeff looked at me but still made no attempt to introduce himself or approach me. I left without a word as I would not be buying a vehicle from a so called dealer who puts a van in his lot in this condition. I emailed him my findings and he replied calling me Ian, not my name but close enough I guess. He said he wasn't ignoring me he was just working with another customer. I expect to find repairs of this nature needed from a private seller but not a dealer that has its own shop and does its own inspections. A ragtag operation at best I'll take my business elsewhere in the future.
I apologize for lack of attention. I never try to ignore any customers. Sometimes its very difficult to do that being the only salesperson. I've a...lways tried to give everyone respect and acknowledgement. I agree I was busy with another customer and wish I could have spoke with Ira instead of just texting and emailing. It would have been nice to be able to explain the vehicle since Ira had no facts on it before writing a review. All of this happened in a matter of minutes. The customer I was with might have been upset if I left her to see Ira. Some people are very difficult to please but I do understand. I've personally sold thousands of cars in my over 25 years and am sure my ragtag operation will continue with much success. - Jeff Dussault (not Dessault)
This is a small town family business. Forget the pressure, forget constant emails, forget the follow up phone calls. Jeff has quality used car that... he personally selects from auctions and dealer inventory sell offs. Many models, a great price variety. Whether you're looking for a first car or looking to upgrade you're very likely to find what you need at Dussalt's. Jeff's a good guy.
I have purchased Many Cars and trucks from them.Vehicles are of good quality, always have been treated professionally. Fair prices and when I had an issues... Jeff and Staff resolved the problem.First place I go when I need a Vehicle.
I learned of this car and dealership accidentally on the internet, just browsing around. I called Jeff and got the details on the car and then did my homework... on the car and dealer. Called Jeff and struck a deal without ever having seen the car, other than photos. My wife and I flew from Birmingham, Alabama to Burlington, Vermont and one of Jeff's employees met us at the airport. We met with Jeff and completed the deal as agreed by phone. We then drove the car around the northeast for almost two weeks and returned to Alabama, a trip of over 1,900 miles. The car performed flawlessly and we could not be more delighted with the car and the whole purchase experience. Incidentally, the car is a 1993 Corvette Convertible. Not a single problem. I highly recommend this dealer.
Make sure you bring the vehicle you are interested in to your mechanic to have it check out thoroughly. The vehicle I was interested in had a severely... rusted oil pan that needed to be replaced as well as the front brakes, (pads, calipers and rotors). While they repaired these items they never looked/ or fixed the frozen emergency brake cables. Yet another 2 hour round trip and my time to get that fixed. All these items are required for inspection, but neglected, still evidently, in hopes that someone would buy it without having it checked out by a mechanic. This work would have easily cost me $2000.00 as the pan was $800.00 alone, and my time. PLEASE. Be aware!!
He called me a month after purchasing truck to tell me emergency brake was not working. I told him to bring it in so we could look at it. He never c...ame in or called!! A couple weeks later he writes this review? I emailed him with no response. I've sold cars for over 20 years and pride myself on reputation. If customer has issue I resolve it. This customer is unreasonable. He took the 10 year old truck to his mechanic before purchasing it. He lives 30 miles away not 2 hour round trip. Truck did not need anything for inspection but mechanic recommended new brakes and the oil pan was rusty. Not leaking! We both agreed to change what he wanted so he would buy the truck. If what he says in review is true why did he buy the truck in the first place?
I am really enjoying my Volkswagen Tiguan. Dussault's made the transaction easy and pleasurable. Jeff knew I was coming so he had the car in the garage... so that it would be warm.
Thanks Jeff, I'am really enjoying my Saab convertable. It is a lot of fun to drive,it sure gets a lot of looks,I think its the later model wheels. We sure... enjoyed the reminising of classic cars we had. thanks Joe LaPorte
Very friendly and easy to deal with. All vehicle are of good quality and variety. When compared most vehicles have the lowest prices in town. If there... are any issues after the sale they are quickly taken care of.
