A Very Pleasant Experience!

I am a former auto repair shop owner in St. Cloud, MN with about 30 years of mechanic and machinist experience. I have purchased, repaired and driven vehicles from customers for most of my driving years. I retired but took on a part time job as an on call inspector for mechanical breakdowns on vehicles with aftermarket insurance coverage, a go between, between the insurance companies and the dealership to allow the dealerships to prove their claims in testimony and pictures. In the 7 years of doing this I have learned what to buy and what NOT to buy and I would urge anyone looking for a vehicle to search online for information on the vehicle(s) you are contemplating buying. (An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!) I have been driving a 95' Toyota Camry 6 cyl. automatic Wagon for 6 years and it now has 240,000 miles and is going strong with NO oil consumption. I have had minimal repairs on this vehicle. My biggest regret is that Toyota stopped producing the station wagon after 1996. I recently went on line to search for a 2007 - 2011 Camry with 3.5 L 6 cyl. engine and automatic transmission and bright RED exterior, as requested by my wife. I searched nationwide as I have no problem traveling anywhere for a rust free vehicle. Among the hundreds of RED Toyota Camry's was a 2007 advertised by Motor Inn in Albert Lea, Mn. I sent an email requesting more information and was immediately contacted by Tyler Hegwood. We corresponded by email frequently and he was always quick to respond. We drove to Albert Lea to view and drive the vehicle, purchased it and arranged to return a week later. Because my wife only has a driver's permit we could not drive one vehicle down and two back. Tyler immediately volunteered to meet us at Lakeville, Mn. which would save us many miles and much time. The following week we arranged for a ride to Lakeville and Tyler arrived right on time accompanied by his lovely wife to take him back to Albert Lea. Our trip home was uneventful and the vehicle is pleasant to drive and built like a tank. We traveled to Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada on August 24th and managed 34.4 mpg from St. Cloud to the Canadian border with the two of us and the vehicle loaded to the hilt. We drove almost 100 miles around Winnipeg while visiting and the overall mileage on the near 1,000 trip was 30.5 mpg. The 3.5 L engine coupled with the 6 speed automatic had us going 70 mph @ only 2,000 rpm's. I usually deal with private parties and sold cars for a dealership in California for a few months many years ago. I quit because I couldn't handle the dishonesty and deceit! When I first saw the ad from Motor Inn the FIRST thing I did was to go on line and read the reviews. I was impressed with the total satisfaction expressed by those leaving the reviews. It is common knowledge that unsatisfied customers are far more likely to write a nasty review that satisfied customers are to write a good review. In spite of that fact I found NO negative reviews which immediately set my mind at ease and prompted me to contact the dealership. My dealings with this dealership were pleasant, there was no pressure, no hype, just facts and friendliness along with professionalism. We were treated the way I treated my customers, with honesty and respect. It was easy for me to give this dealership a 5 star rating.

Top Notch Customer Care

John K went out of his way to help us when our serpentine belt broke as we left a funeral (we don't live in Albert Lea). It was a Saturday and going on towards closing time. The mechanic had left by then & we were blown away by how much he was willing to help us locate a belt & a mechanic as well as a loaner car to make our bad situation manageable. We would have been in a total bind without John and Brad H's help. They were very selfless & kind on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in coming to our assistance!

Easy to work with!

My internet shopping experience by far was the best ever. Tyler was able to work with me and negotiate to a price I felt comfortable with. I would not hesitate to purchase from him again. I drove 2 hours to get my vehicle. Thank you very much!!!

Easy buying experience.

Tyler, Brad, and Brent were very easy to work with. They did not pressure us to buy from them. The used car we bought was in amazing condition, very clean inside and out. They extended their day to help us take home the car that night. I would make the trip to buy from them again.

Great Dealership

These guys were a pleasure to deal with compared to many of the dealerships in the Twin Cities. They worked with me on my trade and insured I was a happy customer. The vehicle I purchased had new tires and was meticulously cleaned. Great car buying experience.

Outstanding

My wife and I have bought cars from 7 or 8 different dealerships over the years. Motor Inn is by far the best we have dealt with. The staff was excellent, the service great, and we drove away in a used model pleased with both the car and the price we got it for. Higly recommended.

Great customer service

I recently bought a used car from Motor Inn. I was kind of a picky buyer but they were able to find me exactly what I was looking for. Everyone I worked with was easy to deal with and I never felt pressured in any way.

Motor Inn is a great place to buy a car.
