I have bought many new and used cars from auto import and it has always been a good experience. Over the last 40 years I have likely bought 25 to 30 vehicles... there. The service is great.
I have purchased over 12 Autos from Jettas to EOS, Always found this dealership was ready to help with any and all problems I encountered which were few.... They may not have the big fancy building, or a sales team ready to jump on you as you walk in the door - but they good people and will help you make the deal you want if at all possible. I have never had a problem with the service Department, all on time, best to schedule ahead of time - if it an emergency they are willing to help get you back on the road, Like any business there are problems (few) and you will hear about them, not often the good things. I am about to purchase another VW and it will from this dealership - no where else.
I have a 2007 VW Jetta that the heated leather seat started burning a hole through the driver seat and smelled like burning electronics. I contacted this... dealer and they said they would check to see if VW would cover this, it took three months to get an answer i don't know if it was the dealers fault or not but i had to contact them several times during this to keep it moving. VW said they would cover it and it took a month to get the parts in to fix it. I got a call brought it in their and they gave me a 2006 VW Passat for a loaner car I went outside to unlock it and the drivers door wouldn't unlock so I had to crawl through the passenger seat to get in the car I started it the gas light was on, I accepted that and went on my way. I stopped home before work to grab a few things so I left the car running in the drive way and because all the doors lock when you put it into gear when I went back out to get in the car to leave all the doors were locked with it running.(The driver door would not unlock no matter what.) I called the place and told them this and the owner came out and pried the door open with a small crow bar and got the door unlocked with a piece of wire that he could reach the lock with. Just before he left he said to just leave a window open in it from now on, easier said than done there was a snow storm moving in that afternoon. Half the day of work was now wasted. I proceeded to head to work and it started to snow in the afternoon, i left work and had to go strait for the gas station I was gonna pay at the pump so not thinking I left the car running same thing happened the keys were again locked in it and my phone was in it so I had to use the gas stations phone to call. It was after five now so the dealer was closed, i called my dad and he came with the same type of thing the owner did earlier and i pried the door open and got a window to roll down so i could reach in to unlock it. I was now headed home the roads were slushy and snowy and this is when I realize the tires on this car are almost completely bald the cars all over the place somehow make it to my drive way and get stuck so I have to dig it out and finally park it.I wake up in the morning to bring this car back because I no longer want it and its stuck again because it snowed overnight i get out mad to start shoveling again and the keys are locked again. I call them and tell them its in my driveway running they can come get it.They tell me the my car is done so I go to get it and it is covered in snow in the parking lot and with a 2 foot plowed snowbank behind it I go in to get a shovel and the two people in there neither of which are the owner or the service manager and the are ignoring me ask where a shovel is and you could tell the didn't want to help so I found a shovel and went outside to shovel and no one offered to even help. I get out their open the door to start it it let it warm up and both fronts seat are light gray, the interior color in this car is black I was in shock, and the headrests and rear seat were still black, there is grease smudges on the new gray seats they're wrinkly looking and neither of the heaters in the seats are working and it doesn't look like they're put on right. I went back in and told them and they acted like they didn't understand what the problem was and told me that that's the only color that VW makes for those anymore. They never contacted me about this problem at all it was just a complete surprise so now the cars in much worse shape then when it went there in the first place and now looks like a junk yard special. I Left the car there and told them to tell the owner to call me when he got back , its been two days and he has still not contacted me I'm not even sure what to do at this point.
Took my 2000 VW Passat in to get some insurance work done..( Was rear-ended and the computer needed to be replaced) and after getting to the dealer i thought... it was a joke cuz the building is more of a shack and not a dealer But i trusted it anyway....BIG MISTAKE!! After the work was done i left the dealership and not even a mile down the road my service airbag light came on.. ( it was never on b4) so i turned back to see if they maybe for to do something and they wanted to charge me to run there scanner on it.. I was angry and left. Idk how they can be considered to even sell VW's cuz the facility was awful and service was worse. The only good thing about the place was the only salesman they had, offered to give us a ride to the mall while we waited. (They didnt even have a car for us to use). But be warned, i could of just caught them on a bad day but from what ive seen, everyday is a bad there.
Tried to purchase used car. They close at 5pm and who can make it there after work in time. The sales guy did not know ANYTHING about the vehicle. Also... tried to buy wipers for a VW (they are a VW dealer), first they did not know how to look them up, then they did not have them.
