lack of attention to detail.

Polite service, good prices mostly, less than stellar inspection/quality control. 3 attempts to get a car from them same car 3 test drives. the 2008 Subaru Outback thats brown on tan still squeals in turns. They replaced tires and didn't notice the brakes were shot on the back, and were thin on the front, had them replace the brakes, and the car still squealed, had the mechanic ride with me they then replaced the front rotors not the pads, (i have the text message that they confirmed this with me so its not like they can argue it) I have the PICTURES of the back brakes being completely worn out too, They replaced the differential fluid the car still squeals. I went to purchase the vehicle today after they claimed they had it fixed. Test drove it again. STILL not fixed 3 visits three attempts to get the car where its actually ROAD WORTHY ( a car squealing in turns indicating bad bearings or bad differential is not road worthy) Car is the 2008 Brown on Tan AWD Subaru. This would have been my SECOND car bought from them, the first has given me nothing but problems but I WAS willing to give them a second chance. The first car had singing brakes within a WEEK of me buying it. Attention to detail trying to do things CHEAP rather than right.

Horrible customer service!!!

The customer service I experienced was horrible. I felt like I was being rushed with everything and that he really didn't care if he sold me a car or not. After applying for one of their vehicles, I was told I needed a cosigner which was not a problem. After reapplying with my cosigner who has PERFECT credit, I was told one bank still denied us, and the second wanted more money down, and he hadn't heard from the third bank yet. We were willing to put even more money down then what the second bank was even asking for BUT was then told that I was still going to have a ridiculous interest rate and that I had to contact the bank myself and find out what paperwork they needed from me AND I had to submit it myself......WHAT? I've never in my life bought a car and was told I had to do all the work!!! I ended up walking out and going straight to another dealership who got me immediately approved ON MY OWN WITH NO COSIGNER and at a very decent rate!!! Oh, and Aero motors never even contacted me about what the third bank said.

Excellent choices!!!

Vehicles look great, but very outdated given the year of the vehicles it's Unsure as to how long you could keep it before mechanical problems occur

Great salesman.

Fast sale with no problems. Good selection even though most car lots are having problems getting cars. Have no problems with car so far. Car very clean.

Never heard from them

Wrote them twice- never heard back. Poor Customer service- asked for pictures but never got any. I think the vehicle is still available . Don’t know what is worse- a Cars.com review that forces you to write 25 words or a dealer that never responds.

Rude salesman

From my first interaction with Fred he insisted I have all my pre approval info ready prior to even allowing me to schedule an appointment to come see the vehicle. So I drove by the lot when they were closed to look at it in person myself and it was inside on a lift being worked. Fred has no idea why it was being work and offered a “probably a maryland safety inspection being done”, instead of assuring me it was this and not something wrong. Then i discuss price with Fred, and unfortunately we could not agree on a price. I can respect walking away from a deal, but Fred Herbster began to insult me telling me I am “ illuminating my lack of knowledge “ when I began to reason why I thought the price could come down. “If you were correct we would be making a deal” he said. He further belittled me telling me about how long the company has been around and they are right a lot more than they are wrong. Fred all you had to do was agree to disagree on the price and leave it be. Arrogance and ignorance was what I experienced from Aero Motors, and I never even got to walk in the door.

Im really sorry you feel this way. We have had to make tough changes our standard operating procedures due to covid-19. One of these changes are to complete as much of the buying process electronically before inviting the customer physically to our location. i know this can be tough but it is both to protect the customer and our staff. Our Saleman are working from their home so it is totally understandable at the time of your conversation he would not have the knowledge of what the vehicles current status is. This I do appologize for and we are currently working to set forth new procedures to alleviate this situation. As far as the offer that you made for the vehicle, it was several thousands of dollars less than our asking price and we could not accept that. I do understand your point of the current issues that are effecting our economy and your position of "take what you get or you will go out of business". These were both valid points but we are a fiscally sound company that also beleive all of our prices are very fair on vehicles that have some of the lowest miles for their model year in the market. Thank you for your review and good luck on the search for your next vehicle.

Crooked business practices

My wife purchased a car from aero motors Maryland inspected , the rotors and brakes were badly worn/scarredimmediately ,key gets stuck in ignition immediately,a/c stopped working within 2 months, universal joints bad 4 months, radiaator leaking 4 months, power window broke 5 months, rearend differential bad 5 months after bringing to them charged her outrageously and replaced a seal ignoring the main problem and whole thing went up a month after they supposedly diagnosed and fixed the problem ,early on within the warranty period I went in to talk to the owner on 2 seperate occasion and he hid from and avoided talking to me until the warranty period was over, my wife brought the car in 4 times within 30 day warranty and they bullxxxxed her along pretending to fix the problems but just wasting time until the warranty period was up and then after warranty expired they became suddenly available to fix the problems and charge outrageously for it , in my opinion they prey on women who don’t have mechanical knowledge through this method of selling cars with Maryland inspection to make you feel safe but what you don’t know is thaat their mechanic who writes these inspections doesnt do a proper inspection he just writes the certificate and they sell you a lemon figuring you’ll come back to them when it breaks down and they’ll maake more money off of you ,this I know to be true because there is no way if the car was Maryland inspected legitimately that the brakes of all things would have had scarred rotors and paper thin pads the daay she brought it home this i have pictures of and was brought to their attention within the warranty period and they scoffed at her and said that the brakes were fine totally blowing her off and then avoiding me when i went down there twice to speak to the owner gary bikenburg.they do not honor their warranty at all, and they deliberately sell vehicles that are not mechanically sound with a Maryland inspection certificate, aero motors and gary bikenburg the owner and operator have very deceptive and dishonest and illegal business practices , this place is no good, tell your friends and family to stay away from aero motors and gary bikenburg and deal with someone else who is reputable instead.
