I sold a truck that I was no longer using and dealt with Matthew Phinney over the phone and then we connected to make the transaction. He was great to deal with. Always called back when he said he would and the overall experience of selling the car was fair and easy. After this experience with Phinney, I would consider purchasing a used car from them in the future. They seem like honest, fair folks.

We buy a lot of used cars without seeing them, and for the most part everyone is very honest in their descriptions. When our son came back from the MIddle East this past summer, he was in most certain need of a reliable truck, as he drives bring him up to the Green Mountains, where he is stationed in the Air National Guard. Dan had called, and the owner personally wanted to drive down here to New Hartford to show him a near to new pickup to Dan. My husband was a former car dealer and mechanic, and he had done his share of the research with Danny to find just what he was looking for. It was the service, from Phinney's in Clayton, that helped us so much. AS Danny was looking for a vehicle asap. Great service, really great rapport with our son and my husband. Great job to all that got it ready for Danny...........he is so glad to be back in the states, and now with a real nice truck, back into hometown reality. The best automotive transaction I ever had
Corey was wondeful to work with. He met all my expectations and more. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and this was by far the easiest most hassle free expirience I have ever had. Great Service!
Our car broke down on a Saturday at 10:30am right after we just checked out of our hotel. We were heading home from a vacation and were 6.5 hours away from home. We got some phone numbers from Napa since the car broke down right near it. They gave us a few garages to call and one of the garages said it was too late and no one would likely be able to help us since almost all places close at noon. That would have meant we would be stuck there through Monday. We called Phinney's and Richard the tech over the phone said he could do whatever he could do to get us on the road that day if they had the parts and he would work past noon for us. Kris said they would be there to tow us around 11 and he was there a little before 11. They got the part they needed but it turns out the fuel pump they received was shooting gas all over the place and was a dud. So they called another local place for the pump but they didn't have it so they had to call a town at least 30 min away to put in a second part that thankfully worked. Richard went through all that trouble and kept his word that he would do whatever he could to get us on the road. For that we are very grateful for his service and dedication. Despite the dud that they first received we were able to leave by 2pm. The car ran awesome on our trip home. The staff were extremely nice to us. Corey the salesperson offered us to borrow a car if needed but we had already checked out. I really felt that the bill was reasonable and they could have charged a lot more, given that we didn't have any other options on a Saturday afternoon. Kris processed the bill and let us pay before he was even done so we could hit the road right away. The facility is also very nice with a PC, TV ,snack machine, comfortable chair and sofa while you wait. They went beyond our expectations so I recommend Phinney's if you need service in the Clayton area.

purchased a Chevy Trailblazer paid over $17,000. We like the vehicle. But, less than 90 days of owning it and a $590 repair bill with no offer or concern from owner/salesman to take care of it! I consider that double dipping! I can handle splitting the cost! But nope!! Nothing! Was hoping a small dealer would be alot better to work with than the mega dealers but Im afraid not! Never again! I would consider the price we paid for the vehicle market price so it wasnt like we got a "good deal"! Dealers are dealers! john
