The staff was friendly and the service was adequate, however the amount of time needed for an oil change is excessive. Three hours is entirely too long... to wait for an oil change - and this is with an appointment set up previously. Getting my wife's Volvo serviced is always something I dread. She loves the car, but I can't spend half a day in Temple for an oil change. It takes more time to service the car than it did to buy it!
I recommended this dealer to two friends, both of whom purchased Volvos from here. Darren, my salesman, was awesome and very knowledgeable. He could answer... every question I had. I needed to know things about using a sedan that most people wouldn't think about. I needed the roominess of getting wheelchair and walker bound family members into the vehicle. The seats would lower enough for them to get in and out easily. I need to know about all the digital "stuff" and Darren was very patient to teach me. An overall very pleasant experience, which car-buying usually is not.
Initial call to set up service appt was very professional and informative as this was my first time to this locale. Eric, at check-in, was also very professional... and took a lot of time w me explaining what service would be done, the approx cost. Also, he looked at my tires and helped me select new ones. At check-out the next day, I was assisted by Brent and he was also a pleasure to work with.
Everyone very knowledgeable and personalable (Alec, Jabari, and Ashley) and Dan was awesome again on the financing piece. Would definitely recommend them... to friends and friends.
Volvo - Received great service during an oil change. While there we decided to trade in my XC60. Received great service from Shay, very patient and polite!... Everyone we dealt with had the same polite and positive attitude. Great job everyone!!
When we went shopping for a new SUV, we met Drew, who gave us the best service we could have hoped to get. He was very thorough going over the vehicle... and answered all of our questions. He wasn’t pushy and made it clear to us that it was important to get us into the right vehicle even if it meant he didn’t sell us a car. If you’re looking for new car, I highly recommend you go in and ask for Drew, you won’t be disappointed.
So, have a recall on my 2006 BMW 525i, last 7 of VIN B992224, have the title in my hand with the vin and make model on the car. Little girl want to argue... with me that its a 2001 BMW. I drive the xxxx thing and have the title, how are you going to argue with me. Obviously there is some issues going on with dealerships customer service. Guess I will be driving to Austin for my repairs. I could just imagine if I had bought the car from them.

We have leased 2 cars this year. The first a red 2018 VW Bug convertible that my husband saw on the showroom floor and had to have it. The second 2018... Volvo XC60. The only SUV that my husband liked. Eddie Palmer was our salesman both times. He is very knowable about the vehicles he sales and a very patient young man. I am a shopper and he showed me every vehicle that I was interested in without any pressure. My husband is the buyer, but will not tolerate a pushy salesman. Eddie and the other staff members at Garlynn Shelton are GREAT to work with!
