Jason Brink, the general sales manager, made me feel like a valued and respected customer which began my trust in this dealership. Courtney was very knowlegable about all the features of my new Outback and answered all my questions. She was kind, patient and spent much time making sure I was comfortable before driving off. I am looking forward to a great relationship with this dealership! Oh and they also love dogs which solidified my impression.

I was really unimpressed with this dealership. I went to look at buying a used Subaru Cross Trek. I was working with a man named Cameron. The beginning of the process was ok. I arrived and had to wait five or so minutes for them to find him even though we had an appointment and not to mention I had to drive way out of my way just to go to this dealership. Test drive went well and was prepared to buy. We also wanted to look at the WRX but he said "No because a guy blew the engine". He wouldn't even allow us to really look at it. Period. Then the financing time began. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, Cameron. First off, I asked him to explain the buying process to me. He basically said I could put the value of the car towards the subaru. He wasn't clear about how my current car loan factored in and it seemed to go away. That was until the financing came out. He then showed me that my current loan outweighed what my car was worth. He said two things that I will never forget: 1) "We give you top dollar for your trade" (4k) and 2) "Subaru is too rich for your blood". These two thoughts were total lies. I took my car to another dealership that had subarus in MO. They offered to pay off the loan and give me $200 extra to go towards a new (used) subaru (4.7k pay off plus $200) which also cancels out the second thought. So then I bought a car from a dealership (settled on a prius because I do not want a subaru this time around. Thanks, Cam!) who gave me $1000 over the worth of my car. After I bought my new car and I had a voicemail programmed to say that if they were a dealership that I had purchased a "new" car and thanked them for working with me. This meant nothing to Cameron for he incessantly called me to the point where I blocked the dealership's number. The total time we were at the dealership was 2 hours! What?? Bottom line: do NOT shop here, especially with Cameron Smith. There is a serious training issue.

We had the best experience at LS Subaru. McCall and Jason Brink were amazing to work with. We test drove a few and then wanted to think on it for a while. McCall was patient and understanding and answered all of my questions. When we came back, she had cars ready for us that she knew we were interested in. The trade in and negotiations were fair and reasonable. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They treated us very well! I love my Subaru too. I had never owned one before my Outback. I absolutely love the car. We have had no issues with it and it is the perfect car for a family in sports. The 6 months of Serius Satelite radio was a huge bonus! I highly recommend Lee's Summit Subaru!

A few bad reviews about the salesmen are prompting me to write this review. We have bought 2 new subarus from this dealership and both times had Courtney assisting us with our purchase. She is helpful and not at all pushy. As a matter of fact, it took us a whole year the first time we purchased our outback to finally sign the papers. We will absolutely buy from this dealership again if she is the one helping us through the process. The opposite of a slimy, pushy car salesman, she is helpful and only tries to give you what you want.

Before I explain my experience with Lee Summit Subaru of Kansas City let me first tell you the circumstances of our situation. A situation which we explained very clearly to the people we dealt with at the dealership. My wife is in the army and was stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. She had just gotten her orders and was to report to Fort Drum, NY in just under two weeks from the day we set foot in the dealership. At that point we had not decided on whether or not to buy the car in Kansas or wait until later. The Lee Summit dealership happened to have exactly the car we were looking for on the lot and offered us a reasonably good deal. We were aware that there had been a recall on the 2016 Outbacks that we were looking at but were told by the salesman that this one had not been subject to the recall. This is the series of events that followed; Literally moments after we finished signing the paperwork that gave us possession of the car the salesman came into the finance office and informed us that he had just run the VIN again and that the car was in fact due to be repaired for the recall issue. We asked how long that takes and he said that the repair takes about an hour, which would have been fine. He then says that they don’t have the parts on hand and they are waiting for a shipment any day now. We say OK, when can we have our car? Because, as we told him, we are on a somewhat tight schedule though we could wait a few days. He said he would let me know the next day. I got no call. I got no call the day after that either, so I called him and he said they still didn’t have the parts but he would let me know. I waited another day and a half and received no call. So I called but couldn’t get him on the phone so the receptionist put me through to the repair department. They told me that they had no record of my car, had no idea what I was talking about. After putting me on hold and presumably going and finding someone in sales he told me that they had parts for some cars but that we were 13th in line for the repair and they didn’t have that many parts on hand and wasn’t sure when they would get more. I waited another day and called back, this time talking to the sales manager and told him that if we didn’t have our car that we were going to have to drive the loaner to NY and possibly to WA since my wife was immediately deploying and I was going to WA for the summer. I really didn’t want to drive the loaner and deal with whatever complications that would entail. It seemed logical to me that since everyone whose car was in line for the recall also had a loaner that they would not be too put out if they bumped us up in line because of the circumstances. That didn’t happen and we ended up having to drive the loaner to NY. Eventually, and after several more phone calls that I had to make to the Sales Manager rather than him keeping us informed, our car was ready to be shipped. At this point he basically washed his hands of the situation, telling me that he had handed off the information to the shipping company and to just deal with them. The shipping company told me we would have the car in about three days which was reasonable. Three days later I hadn’t heard anything so I called and they said that they hadn’t even picked the car up yet. Once they did finally ship the car the person in charge of the company told me he had no idea where the car was or when it would be delivered and gave me the number of the driver. He also initially said that they would drop our car off one day and send a different driver to pick up the loaner. This made no sense for several reasons, but eventually they worked it out. The driver was the only person in this whole process who was remotely helpful and responsive. He said that he didn’t know why they had told me three days back then but that it would still be several days before he made it to us and that he would try to arrange his schedule to get it there quicker and keep us up to date, both of w

Whatever you do, do NOT have your vehicle services at this dishonest, unethical business. Not only will they do an incomplete job, but they will also charge you more than they initially tell you. Service at dealerships may be more expensive than other mechanics, but consumers should never be lied to by any business expecting to retain customers. We will never be returning to this store, but will instead visit a location that demonstrates its value of customers by being honest and straightforward. YOU SHOULD TOO. Everyone deserves better than this.
