My wife and I bought our first car from Sarinsky's 28 years ago, and over the years we have purchased a total of 8 cars from Dave. One reason -... Dave Sarinsky is the BEST! While I've never written a review before, I want to write this one about Dave. He has a quality that makes him stand out from others. Dave has genuine CHARACTER: honest, dedicated, professional, and fair. He is genuinely motivated to listen, and to help you in every way to find the car that you want. Most recently, we asked Dave to find us a specific car, color, mileage, and price, and AS ALWAYS he came through - putting in the time and effort to get it just right for us. You get to feel something with Dave that makes the connection work: TRUST. We continue to be very grateful to Dave, and also to his assistant, Anthony - gratitude that is also shared by family and friends to whom we have highly recommended Sarinsky's Garage.
VERBALLY ASSAULTED by owner. Absolutely terrified, such a horrendous experience. I am a single woman who spent 4 hours and $75 dollars to get an older,... low mileage car checked out because Mr. Sarinsky told me they only sell quality cars and blah, blah, blah. My mechanic found numerous problems including evidence of a major engine malfunction. I was prepared to repair some things on my own dime but NOT an obvious cover-up of a major problem. When I showed the owner the list of problems he exploded, calling me a "CRAZY PIG" and that my mechanic is a liar. I was totally stunned, why on earth would I put so much time and money out if i wasn't a serious buyer??? HE IS TERRIFYING and no one should ever be treated like that, especially a single woman who he expected to be able to cheat because, you know, all women are crazy and stupid. He went on and on about being in business for 30 years but most of that time was before the internet exposes cheats and frauds. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, I wouldn't trust them to wash my car.
This is the second car I have purchased at Sarinsky's Garage. Dave helped me with buying my first car, a 2007 Dodge Caliber when I was in college, and... it turned out to be a great car. Now that I started my job, I grew out of the Dodge and needed a bigger vehicle. Dave sold me a low mileage 2007 Chevy Avalanche, beautiful inside and out. Sarinsky's has provided outstanding service every time I have been there, and will continue to go here in the future.
Dealer found me the car of my dreams. The price was competitive and it was a no nonsense deal. Dealer gave me a good warranty and recently I had service... done beyond the warranty and the price was right. The mechanics at this dealership did not overcharge and up sell me on stuff I didn't need. I have gone to other service locations where they pressure you to buy services you don't need. Nice place to do business.
Bought a few cars from this guy. Prices are on the cars when you browse through the car lot and no pressure salesman. The owner is always upfront and has... Carfax available. His service crew is great and his sales guys and mechanics are easy to work with. Highly recommend.
So.. when you offer a dealership an "online" offer. That should be the beginning of the process.. but not with these guys. I send and offer... they send... an email back. They say, that's out best price. AND THAT'S IT. So, if you want to negotiate... find another dealer as these guys do NOT know how to sell. The process should be: Offer, email, conversation, counter offer, negotiation and final agreement. (I will not bill them for the free training lesson. print it and share with your sales/mgmt staff. I did make an offer on a limited edition car.. a BULLITT. I did find one, and purchase it. They are 2 hours from me.. I went to Alabama to buy one. I spent 7k more because of the value of the car.. people will spend more IF the sales TEAM learns the lesson of value building.
Here at Sarinsky's fine cars we prefer to advertise for our rock bottom best prices. After over 60 years of doing business this seems to be the sim...plest way to do business. We have found that our customers prefer not to go thru the process you mentioned in your review. I did discuss that with you in the email when you made your offer. Good luck with your new purchase.
I worked with Dave and Anthony over the phone to purchase a Ford E350 van. From the beginning they were simply not like any other car dealer in their helpful... and honest discussions. We agreed on a price and I flew up from Little Rock Arkansas to their facilities near Newburgh, NY. Dave picked me up from the airport, I found my new van to be better than described and the test drive showed a perfect used vehicle. He walked me through the purchase agreement and transit documents for my LONG drive from NY back to AR, making certain all of the paperwork was clearly in order. Trust me the drive was worth it. Purchased a 04 Honda Accord from Dave, was a pleasure to work with in every way possible. Had a 3 month warranty and my computer fried, because of a bad... evap solenoid, as well as the sensor in the master brake cylinder just a month outside the end of the warranty. They (Dave the owner and Anthony, a stellar mechanic) worked with me in every way possible to get me back on the road quickly, safely, and at low expense. Headed back in a week to get my girlfriend a car cause there is no comparison to the trust they have already instilled in me in only 4 1/2 months of being a happy customer.
From the minute i met Dave, ( even on the phone ), he was cordial, straightforward, and honest. He is a man of his word, and backs up everything he says.... He made the agony of car shopping/buying effortless. He worked with me on the price, and when i picked up the car it was absolutely spotless. His staff and facilities were also spotless on both visits, demonstrating he has an overall respect for the industry and for his customers, and his commitment to Quality is unsurpassed. He took his time to review the car's features, before we drove off the lot. When necessary, I will go to him for my next vehicle, and if he ever gets a nice truck, we will get that too...
