    I just wanted to say a special thanks to Jeff Smith for creating the best car buying experience I have ever had. When Jeff and I first spoke, I let him... know that I still had a used SUV to sell before I could move forward with my new Mazda purchase. I never felt the slightest pressure from him over that or any other aspect of the buying process. How refreshing! Once I sold my old SUV and I was ready to move forward, I found Jeff friendly, quick to respond, knowledgeable and very helpful. Signing the paperwork provided no surprises as Jeff had let me know what to expect up front. After I had the car for a few days, I contacted Jeff about ordering some accessories and having them delivered to my home (I live 3.5 hours from the dealership). Again, Jeff was great to deal with and made the arrangements to get everything ordered and delivered to me. The whole process has turned out to be the best car buying experience I have ever had.     Your service Department is the best that I have dealt with. When I had an air conditioning problem, they quickly diagnosed it. I contacted Subaru direct... because my warranty had just run out. Subaru agreed to pay for the repairs. They contacted Vic Bailey service department and Vic Bailey quickly contacted me to tell me the parts were ordered and to schedule a time for it to be repaired. When I arrived at the scheduled time, the service department took over. They had me in a loaner car and on my way in less than 10 minutes. I informed them that I needed my car back that day because I was going out of town. They told me that they would try to have my car ready by 2:00 pm. When I got back to the dealership at 1:40 pm, my car was washed and waiting for me. I only wish that I had bought my Subaru at Vic Bailey. They treat you a whole lot better than the dealer in Hendersonville, NC.

    Went in for my 12,000 mile checkup/maintenance. Received excellent service with top notch Customer Service. My Ascent was returned much cleaner than when... I arrived! Highly recommend Vic Bailey Subaru to everyone!!!

    First the 5 star part. We chose Vic Bailey because of positive past experience with the General Sales Manager. We bought two Mazda's from Brandon Price... when he was a sales associate with a different dealer. This time we dealt with Steven Darchiville, and the process was painless. All dealings were over the net, and Steven was very good. When I balked at the trade-in evaluation, Brandon stepped in an upped the trade-in evaluation to a number we found acceptable. At that point we made an appointment to pick up and pay for the vehicle. Now for the 1 star part. We filed credit applications on line to minimize the amount of time it would take to complete the deal. When we arrived we found our credit approved. I will take some responsibility for not specifying our desire to use a specific lender. I assumed, wrongly, that our loan would be placed with Mazda Capital Services, a place where we've had two paid off loans already. When we went to the finance office, one of the first things the finance person mentioned was our credit scores, both in mid 800s. When I asked about Mazda financing, he stated the rates were very high and that the rate he was offering through a local bank was lower. The amount financed was only $7.5k for 36 months and the rate was 5.24%. When I asked about two lenders that I was familiar with, USAA and Penfed, the finance person stated that he had checked their rates and that they were higher that what we were being offered. Given our credit scores, I thought the rate was too high, but not having done my homework by looking at current rates at other lenders, we signed. I mentioned that re-financing the note was an option. When I arrived home, I did check both USAA and Penfed. USAA was then at 2.99% and Penfed at 2.49%. Does that look higher than 5.24%? We'll refinance and save about $300 in interest, but unfortunately the finance person will have already collected their finders fee, probably 1% to 2% of the total loan amount. I would not hesitate to buy another car from Vic Bailey, but I would not go there again without having secured my own financing, Obviously the finance person cannot be trusted.

    I don't usually write reviews, but then again, it isn't every day that I purchase a high-dollar value item. Anyways, I recently purchased a new Mazda MX-5... from this dealership and I was very pleased with my overall experience. The sales consultant that assisted me, Matt, was a pleasure to work with. I didn't feel like he, or any of the other representatives, were trying to 'upsell' me or even pressure me into acting faster than I wanted. They allowed me to test drive several vehicles (multiple times) and gave me the impression that they were simply appreciative of my interest in the vehicles they had on offer. I anticipate that I will use this dealership in the future for my vehicle servicing needs.
