I purchased a $50,000 vehicle fron here Three days later a lug nut was setting in my garage floor, took it to a Chevy shop, they said the stud was stripped... and someone had just glued them together. So I called dealer to make it right, but was denied! I am very unsatisfied with their integrity. Instead of calling to tell me that they would not fix it I just got a text. After me calling them back three times for an answer.
Had an issue with my 2001 Chevy Cavalier. Kept stalling. Live 70 miles from Hamilton Chevrolet so towed it there. Supposedly they put a new fuel pump in... it. Picked it up a few days later. It stalled at the edge of Portalas and wouldn't start. Called tow truck to take it back. That time they said it needed an ignition switch. Again picked it up. Had a popping coming through the speaker when starting it. Took it back. A week later picked it up. Fourth trip to get It. It ran fine the 70 miles home. Then it started stalling like it did in the beginning, just 85 miles later. Then 2 days ago it stalled and would not start. Had to have it towed 5 blocks. Today my husband called Chevrolet to complain and after the customer service rep talked to the service manager at Hamilton Chevrolet she came back on the phone and said Kendall told her they do not want us at their dealership anymore because of my husband's attitude. SERIOUSLY??? They didn't fix the issue and because we are upset about it, they don't want us there anymore??? WTH??? Anddddd Chevrolet said too bad so sad we can't make them but you are welcome to have it towed to another dealership at your expense. Two good things about this ordeal...my husband is way more mellow than I am when dealing with incompetent people and the dealership SAYS they aren't charging us for what turns out to be for NOTHING.
Sean Belden and Bill Guhrke assisted me in purchasing a used vehicle. The service was excellent and I am very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely... recommend these two and Hamilton GM Country when shopping for a new vehicle!!
Requested a trade appraisal and got quoted 400 below kbb. Told them I wasn't interested any more and they still bug me periodically. Dealers don't care... about the person or family only the sale. Take the time, expand the search and even consider private sellers. Because whether you buy private or from a dealer, once you give them the money they wont help with any faults that weren't disclosed, which is normally most. So save the money for the repairs and buy used elsewhere.
I’ve shopped Hamilton GM Country for many years. The service is always excellent. Bill Gurcke is excellent and helpful. He’s always a phone call away.
Salesman Bill Gerhke very nice. He and Bryant the finance guy were very nice people. Will recommend to all to visit this car lot in Portales.
Thanks for highlighting some of our staff who helped make this such a great experience! Thanks again for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!
Buying a car is one thing but having to worry about repairs etc. is a different problem in itself, but when meet kendall and mike and they actually listen... to you, help you and you are treated as a real person it makes owning a new car worth it. They are very friendly and caring. They go above and beyond to help the customer.
I did not visit the dealership in person. I called about 2 vehicles that were listed for sale on Cars.com. The salesman took the time to check on the... vehicles and found that they were unavailable. He then asked about what I was looking for, the price range and when I was wanting to buy. I never heard from him again.
Use caution when going to buy a car from this place. They are very much into the good ole boy system. Unless you are a cousin, brother, etc. of a person... that works there I would travel the hour or two and go to a reputable dealer. My experience was they tried selling me a truck at another dealer in Amarillo, well they lied to me about so much. 1. completely lied about my trade; that they had even appraised it and how much they were willing to pay for it until it came time to sign the papers. 2. The car they said they could have for me in a day was a dealer demo that they had no access to because it was being driven by the dealerships owner in Amarillo. 3. After confronting them (Andy and Warren) about the issue and confronting their sales manger they could care less about lying to me, my time and my money I spend on gas to see them three times. I tried not to believe the hype around town about how poorly I would be treated at this dealership and how much they were going to try and take advantage of me in doing a deal, I went to see them anyway. Now I see and would never recommend anyone go there unless spending too much money is no problem for you and you don't mind subpar customer service.
