Proceed with caution when working with Lafontaine Saline. Lafontaine hired Greg Semack to sell vehicles as a broker through them. Greg is a liar and... a thief and has cost me thousands of dollars. Lafontaine will not take any responsibility for Mr. Semack’s actions and has left me to try to recover money owed to me on my own.

Nothing but problems with Greg Semack at Lafontaine Saline. He is their outside says rep and I found I could not trust him at all. I brought it to the... attention of the manager and he did absolutely nothing to help and did not care that their outside sales person was dishonest. I will never do business with them.

The people here are so nice and will do everything to help you find the car that works for you and in your price range. As a first time car buyer I had... an amazing experience getting a car. I was looking at originally at a Jeep Compass and ended up getting a Nissan Rogue. I am much more happy with this choice gas millage wise then the compass. On February 6th 2019, I took delivery of a 2014 Chevrolet Impala from LaFontaine. I traveled from Florida to Michigan. This purchase was all internet contact... prior to delivery date. I was in contact with Frank Stark during the entire process from the initial inquiry about this vehicle to the financing. Prior to actually purchasing the vehicle I ran a car fax report and the report revealed an issue which I contacted Frank about. It showed a “body damage” reported incident. Frank told me it was a minor “dent” that was repaired. I asked Frank once again was the vehicle involved in an accident and he told me no, only a small dent repaired. After test driving the vehicle prior to taking delivery all seamed well. Once I left the dealership and began a trip to Illinois I noticed several issues with the car. The Side detection system was not working and after a stop for gas, I noticed the drivers front door and drivers side rear door keyless buttons were not working. Passenger side was fine. I arrived at my destination the next day. I googled the issues and all stated that it was a module issue. It stated either caused by corrosion or at times if the rear bumper was repaired usually the body shop never reset or replaced the module. The following morning I went into the glovebox. Inside the glovebox I found paperwork from the previous owner, yes all financial documents, within the glovebox. Also found in this packet was a body repair document from July 2018. This car was involved in an accident in June 2018 and the entire drivers side of the vehicle and rear bumper was replaced. Total accident repair $3,712.00. Remember I was told by Frank, only a small dent Was repaired when I questioned him following the car fax report. I immediately called Frank and told him about the two issues I found after leaving the dealership on the 6th, then I confronted him about the paperwork in the glovebox. Frank paused after I told him about the collision paperwork I found and I told him this was quite upsetting after he reassured me the damage was only a dent repair. I told Frank that the two issues with this car absolutely are related to the body damage now. Frank told me the dealership would take care of the two issues once I got back to Florida. Well guess what, I have left Frank five voicemails, six text messages, the dealership three emails for someone to contact me and as of this posting nothing. I will be researching my legal options with my attorney and thank god I have kept all the correspondences with this dealership. (Thank you LaFontaine for leaving the paperwork in the glovebox I’m sure by mistake) Great evidence. This was an absolute fraud now I’m stuck with the repairs. Stay away from this dealership!!!
We purchased a car from Olivia Layton who is extremely inexperienced and ever since the sale was finalized she has been rude and insulting to my husband... I have reported it to the manager who has yet to address the issue. They couldnt find the spare key for the car and 3 weeks later we still dont have the spare key to the brand new car. I would never go to this dealer again.
I leased my dream car car from Sergei Khan of LaFontaine, and he was FANTASTIC to work with! He gave me the best deal I could find, and there were absolutely... NO pushy sales tactics. This is the 3rd time I have purchased a vehicle from LaFontaine in Saline, and again, then have done a fantastic job. This time I had the pleasure of working... with Columbus Smith. Columbus did an excellent job and got me the vehicle I wanted, how I wanted it.
Unfortunately I don't have positive news to post about but I will share this issue that I'm having. But before I start I do want to be respectful to those... who do care and try to make this a better business. After dropping off my car for a routine oil change plus having some one from the service center drive my car to check a noise coming from the back tires. I was unfortunately supprised by the fact that my car was completely dirty and covered in dirt. What is making me angry is the fact that I specifically said that the "noise coming from the back" can only be heard on a smooth road and not on a rough road. So why was my car taken on a dirt road as well as if I dropped off my car clean why was it given back to me dirty and highly unprofessional manner? I feel sorry for the poor souls that have to take the wiping from angry customers but small things like this add up and with time this will catch up with them. Best of luck
It was a wonderful shopping experience. This LaFontaine dealership was clean, friendly, very professional, and did not push or make me feel uncomfortable.... I got a very competitive deal that I just could not refuse and am very happy with the 2017 Jeep Cherokee I bought for my wife.
