I have bought 8 vehicles over many years and all the vehicles were very good with no problems. Everyone is very pleasant and always helpful when I needed... anything.
Talked to Mike on the phone and stopped by to look at a Toyota 4Runner. After test driving and getting a good feeling about these guys I decided to do... business with them. They were relaxed and didn't pressure me at all. Kevin the Manager was fantastic and helped with my financing needs. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend them.
I needed a vehicle due to the fact that my previous ride had been totaled in a car wreck. I do not argue with the price pain. I am happy with the vehicle.... I paid a $499 documentation fee. A week later I received a call that the vehicle needed to go to the MARTA air inspection station. I understand that is the MARTA documentation is needed to title the vehicle. I went and had this done. Emailed a photocopy. $10.00. Pretty simple! What is galling is that when I asked the dealer! The response was that it was too costly as not every vehicle would be sold in Metro Davidson County and was an expense they didn't wish to incur. This amount should have been included in the documentation fee? Inconvenient when I don't have a lot of spare time. I also purchased an additional warranty and it took two months for the warranty documentation to arrive. Upon inquiring at the dealership as to the status, I was told that paperwork would not be sent until later and as it was "too expensive" to send individually via post office. I was told by the manager that the warranty paperwork would along with other customers as the documents accumulated. I can not recommend this dealership due to the after the fact treatment I received. I suggest you shop around for a different dealer.
I started my search just looking for a Nissan titan for my bf. Discovered one through this dealership and immediately got a call. I was unable to answer... since id just gotten to work but we were able to communicate through text instead. Needless to say we ended up going home with the truck the next day. Mike ballard was very helpful and informative through the entire process and was doing anything in his power to ensure we get the truck we wanted. Would highly recommend Mike ballard and university motors to everyone.
We bought 2 vehicles from here. Tried to trade in the vehicle that we bought from them with 170,000 miles for an older model. Was turned down even though... our payments were current. Rude conversations with both the salesman Mike and the Manager Mark. They didn't care that we won't be back. Bad customer service.
This company gets 5 big stars. I am a new local to the west Nashville area, and I pass by University motors daily on my way home from work. They always... have great quality vehicles on display, ranging from all brands, models, and prices. I recently had the great pleasure to work with Tod as a first time car buyer. Tod mindfully worked within my budget, helped me understand their process, and was painfully patient with me during the entire process. Even though I was not able to make a commitment to a new vehicle just yet, I was treated with courtesy, patience, understanding, and tremendous professionalism. I may not have purchased a vehicle yet, but I definitely know who to talk to when I am finally ready to make that next big step. Tod was the most personable and easy to deal with of any salesperson I spoke to at any dealership, by far! He listened well and made me feel at ease throughout... the process of both shopping and buying. I would definitely buy from them again.
Not sure how to review from my experience with University Motors..I was online looking for a Nissan Juke...They had one so reasonably priced I had to go... check it out...I went fell in love with it...got approved for it...I didn't have the cash that day so I told Todd the salesman don't sell it I will be back...I even talk to Todd about how much money to hold Juke ....I saw this car on Sat. I Prayed and hustled all WK.to get the money....Sat..of following WK. I call early to see if Juke was still there it was I told Todd I was coming sometime that day.....I got there it was sold.......It almost bought me to tears I couldn't believe it... They told me that another salesman sold it...They could have told other person if I didn't show up...Monday it was theirs...Then I would have understood... Offered to put me in something else....my heart was set on that Juke...I was so disappointed and hurt..I know whoever got it is enjoying it as much as I would have... It wasn't about a happy customer after I fought so hard to get it didn't matter...
Great facility and good inventory. They can sell cars. They advertised my 4Runner with rear entertainment and knew that was important feature for me with... young kids. Shame on me, I didn't check them fully and one didn't work. I called and got in touch with University Motors and was told that mine were too old. They took no responsibility just told me that I need to buy new ones. No responsibly for them being broken.
