Shawn was very attentive and helpful. The only reason I didn't rate this review as a 5 star is because my husband and I had to wait 40 minutes until the... finance manager showed up. I expected the process to be a little faster than normal because we were paying in cash so the wait was a little irritating. Also I noticed that the car jack was missing from my truck where the spare tire is located.
Unlike other dealers when I asked for a total price, I got one. All the taxes, fees and miscellaneous charges in one statement. No hassle, no runaround... and no BS. I walked in to test drive the car after all the financials were set. No "come on in and we can work something out". No bait and switch. I came in late on the last day of the month. The car was exactly what I wanted. Steve was very friendly and knowledgeable about the car helping me leave... the dealership in time for my date. Cliff was extremely helpful in helping me with my rental car and ushering me through the financial details as well as introductions to the workings of my new car.
we come in to buy a new car for my wife, and Steve Markowitz was our agent, Steve was very knowledgeable, about the car, and was a pleasure to work with.... He was great with me and my wife and great with our kids. Then we dealt numbers with Jason which was a trip. He talked super fast, never ran our credit for the car payment we where looking for, and his sales metaphors changed fro dinner (pizza pie) to dessert (cheesecake pie) but i am still not sure what we were talking about. After leasing the Car Steve took it to take the stickers off and put gas into it. he said it would take 20 minutes and it took close to an hour. we just sat in the dealership while jason kept trying to sell me every car on the lot. finally what caused me a lot of stress is that David Johansen said he talked to Steve and he was at the gas station and would be back shortly. Steve did not show up for another 25 minutes after I was told that by David. I called Steve 20 minutes after David told me he had talked to steve and he was at the gas station and steve told me he was just finishing filling up, and had not talked to Dave the previous time that david had said he did. I was shocked, flabergasted and extremely frustrated to find out i was lied to by the dealership before i even took the car of the lot. it made me start thinking about what else did i get lied to about that day. it was the worst way for me to start this relationship, this was a major investment for me and my family and other than Steve I will have a hard time trusting what they are telling me is the truth. We love the Car.
Within a week of my purchase, the power outlets didn't work, battery died and a piece of the vehicle trim blew off. According to Thompson Mazda Manager... Mike Coady, "its not under warranty, its not covered"! Replaced the battery through advanced who stated that the battery in the vehicle was 5 years old, advanced also checked the fuses replaced two and now power outlets work, the trim!!!!! Thanks Advance, Shame on you Thompson Mazda, specifically Mike Coady. You should try another service approach, "Do unto others..... Bought 4 cars over the years at this dealership, traveled this last time from PA for this most current vehicle, it won't happen again. Dan Patton unsatisfied customer.
