About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since June 2011.
The founder of our organization, E. J. Payne, grew up in a Ford Dealership in Southern Illinois. After flying 104 missions in a P47 fighter during WWII, he settled in Weslaco, TX and opened Ed Payne Motors. This was in November of 1949. By the end of that first year, Ed Payne Motors had sold 13 vehicles. As the Texas economy grew over the years, so did the Payne Dealer Group of new and Texas Car Dealerships. In 1979, Weslaco Motors, a dealership with a history since 1935, was added to the group. Payne Auto Group now features 12 different franchises: GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Ford, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, VW, FIAT, Alfa Romeo and Mitsubishi.

These clowns sell wrecked cars as new.

Sold my senior dad a wrecked car as new. Wrecked at the dealer lot. Cost my dad hundreds when he went to trade it later and discovered what these bozos had done.

Horrible finance guy....

Worst experience ever! On 7-15-20 The finance guy tried to intimidate me and my wife. I didnt accept their offer and the promo they sent me was totally false so I was trying to get straight answers so I could end the meeting or continue. This guy comes in and tries to belittle me. This was the most unprofessional sales rep I have ever seen. Payne, please find better people.... Never again will I purchase a new vehicle there.

Service on equinox

My father went for a oil change is 69 years old his primary language is Spanish they charge him 411 dlls for a service that he did not wanted. Taking a advantage of older people in this place
