Stuart seemed to have just the car I was looking for. An older model Sonata for my son to drive. He sold me one that he said was meticulously maintained... by a good friend. However 4 months and $3000 in repairs later (engine valve leaks, catalytic converter, suspension issue that resulted in cupped the tires) I seriously suspect I was taken for a fool. Every used car has its risks...but this car came with no repair records, though I called the dealership the car was serviced at (oil changes only on record). I took Stuart at his word that this car was well cared for, he vouched for his friend. Given the issues this car has after just 3k in miles post sale tells me his friend knew exactly what he was getting rid of, a problematic car with many issues that needed to be fixed.
We have been looking for a very specific vehicle of months. The year, make, and model needed to be correct. We saw the car on cars.com and contacted... the dealer by phone to discuss condition of the car. The person at the dealership told us the car was in good shape, no rust in the rocker panels. We made an appointment to see the car and drove six hours to see the car. When we pulled into the dealer’s lot, it was obvious the pictures on cars.com were very old. The passenger side of the car had been sideswiped. The rocker panels were rusty; the interior of the car was destroyed. We wasted a day…Thanks Stuart’s Cars.
I called Stuart from D.C. and he walked around the car describing its fine points good and bad. I flew to Cincinnati and was greeted at my hotel by Stuart... who took me to his lot. The Classic Volvo was every bit as good as he had described to me. Then off to my home in Colorado.
My husband and I went up to see a Forester that Stuart had listed on line. When we called about it he told us what was wrong with it and that he also... had an Outback. Since we were driving 3 hours to see it he said he would hold it for us. Upon driving the Forester I had mixed feelings about it, my husband loved it. So we drove the Outback. I loved it. We left the car lot owning both autos. We were never pressured to buy either auto. What Stuart tells you, you can believe. I hope this helps sway someone to go there. You won't be disappointed.
Looking for a quality used car is not easy, but Stuart's Cars made this a Great Buying Experience! I found a very thorough and accurate description of... the car online complete with plenty of photos. I was treated with kindness, courtesy, and respect. It was easy to test drive the car and I was even able to take it to my own mechanic for inspection. The bottom line is that I was able to find a quality used car at a fair price. I will definitely recommend Stuart's Cars to my friends!
Let me tell you, I am very picky when purchasing a vehicle! I drove around 100 miles (200 miles round trip) from Indianapolis to buy a car from this gentlemen... on December 1st, 2014. Everything went very smooth. Everything! We made an appointment at 3 o'clock on that day and at 5 o'clock I was driving my new car purchased from him back to Indianapolis. As he promised he mailed me the title within a 24 hours and I received it within 48 hours. Let me tell you about the car that I had purchased: more than a year past and I am still driving it with pleasure. Never had any issue. The only thing that I have done so far is to change a couple of times the engine oil and once the brakes. That is it! Car is still in perfect condition. Bottom line, I appreciate this man and his efforts to sell quality cars on reasonable prices. Wished more dealers be like him.
They responded very fast to my inquiry. That says a lot to me.
