Horrible place. When I took my car in, they said it had a slow leak In the tire valve stem and the sensor was reading "one tire low in pressure."... When I left the display indicated "one tire low in pressure AND service tire system soon"...worse than when I took it in! On the 3rd trip back and after getting a professional opinion from another repair center who diagnosed the tire sensor was now dead, Kevin agreed the sensor was faulty, needed replaced and hat it wasn't anything they caused. When I insisted it had to be from replacing the valve stem as it worked fine before servicing, he not only refused to take responsibility. He also refused to refund the original costs AND the " tire low in pressure- service tire system soon" warning is still flashing! I will be going to Bay Custom Auto from now on. They diagnosed the problem right the first time.
They are much higher in price then several other Automotive shops in the area for the same quality of work..... And they don't work very fast. I wasn't... tested as if I was a very important client!
I have a 88 Pontiac Fiero with a 3.8 L V6 out of a 91 Oldsmobile Royale. Needless to say finding parts can be difficult. But I have to say they handled... my car very professionally and when I got it back everything that I asked for was taken care of and a very reasonable price. I will be taking my Fiero back to them anytime it needs work done on it and we will be taking my wife's 2012 Hyundai Veracruz to them. When it needs any repairs. I have dealt with a lot of shops over the years and by far you cannot go wrong by using American Pride.
I've been coming to America Pride for years. Latest job was installing aftermarket parts on my Mustang. Definitely a pleasure dealing with honest... knowledgeable folks that will get things done right
Purchased 2010 Prius with 125k miles in October of 2016. Five months and 10k miles later the car has had zero issues. Runs and drives like new. Throughout... the process we only dealt with one employee, Gerald. He was professional, courteous and friendly. The same goes for the service writers. Although I've not used them for service, they have been extremely professional during my brief contact in person and telecon. This is not your (stereo) typical used car dealer.
I'll start off by saying I don't have the best credit in the world. Hey no one is perfect right? After being turned downed by several other dealerships... I figured i'd try one last time at American Pride and boy was I happy I did! I came in for a test drive and to my surprise wasn't hassled at all or suffocated with 2 or 3 salesman just an honest, straightforward gentleman named Gerald. He was super informative and somehow got me financed through Langley. Thank you so much!

I just had my daughter's transmission replaced at the Yorktown shop. It was done in 2 days for $800 less than the average and came with a 3 year/100,000... mile warranty. My friends and family have been going there for 15 years with no complaints. I question the bad reviews here (2 of which seem to have been written by father and son). Cars are machines, and unfortunately problems occur. When they do, give these guys a try. You might not be happy about having to pay for repairs, but APA will be honest, professional, and reasonably priced.
The dealership is small and unimpressive but I had a good experience working with Curtis who was honest with me and worked with me to get into a good vehicle... at a great price. The processing fee was half that of the larger dealerships.

First, I found the car on line and it seemed to meet all my needs. The salesman was nice and friendly...everything seemed fine. He seemed like he was in... charge and said to drive it around and that they would "fix" any problems that I found. Of course, being my first car purchase I believed them. I found issues and took it back less than three weeks later and the car needed a lot of work. Brake pads and rotors, belt tensioner adjustment. sway bar end caps, axle seals and license plate lights. They fixed the broken windshield wiper hose that we noticed before we left the lot and immediately denied responsibility for fixing everything else saying the car "passed inspection" but they would talk to the boss. After waiting a day, they carefully pointed out each and every thing that was not covered by the warranty and of course the verbal promises were forgotten. They did fix the brakes and the tensioner however, left me with everything else to do. I don't understand how a car can pass inspection with bad brakes and lights out but it just goes to show that inspections stickers don't tell you the whole story. Boy am I getting an expensive education now that I really don't need. I will never return to this shop again, for anything.
