My long-distance purchase of a Earthquake F-150 was absolutely perfect. I dealt with Todd Barrowman the most professional Ford City employee they have.... I live in NC and would text him questions and always received a response within 10 to 30 minutes. I thought at one time he could have been the owner of Ford City. I made a offer and he explained in detail the history and the rebates and who was driving the truck with only 1,700 miles. I committed on the purchase and he started the upgrade package immediately. Everything Todd promised on the agreed amount was exactly how the transaction ended. I am a General Contractor and was planning to use this in my business, now have decided to keep it for a weekend fun truck. It is to nice for the construction site. Thank You!! I found a car online and Gayle helped me with everything through email, which was the most convenient for me. It was a 4 hour drive for me and Gayle answered... questions, took additional pictures and was able to give me a total cost upfront to help me decide if it was what I was looking for. He was very straightforward, honest and there was no hidden fees! When we arrived, the car was in better condition than I even expected, the tires were like new! Highly recommend this dealer and Gayle, especially for people coming from a distance. No Games! All pricing and financing was confirmed before arrival. Car was accurately depicted. Was a pleasurable buying experience and was only there about an hour for the test drive and to sign paperwork. More dealers should be this easy! A++Thanks again!

My wife and I went to Champaign Ford City this evening to begin looking at vehicles. We walked in excited, as we had been discussing looking at the Ford... Explorer and a couple sedans for a few weeks. Upon walking in, we were taken by Gayle over to his desk. He never showed us the vehicles that we were there to look at. He never asked us our names. He never asked anything about us or even attempted to sell us the vehicle. Gayle printed off three window sticker prices for us, did some quick math, and showed us the prices. He never asked what we were looking for in a vehicle, or even what was important to us. My wife asked him when 2019 models were arriving and when they would be trying to get rid of the 2018 models and he rudely snarked "what did you think a Ford Explorer costs?" I'm not sure if it was because we are young, two women, or maybe even because we are gay, but the way we were treated was beyond disrespectful and truly embarrassing. I would expect the salesmen to treat each customer like they want to help them, and not like we were disrupting his afternoon by even contemplating purchasing a Ford. This was our first stop of the car shopping journey, but one positive note is that we are able to cross one off the list as we will not be purchasing a Ford from Champaign Ford City.
Bought a 2014 Ford Explorer on 01/05/2018, within 1 day had a plastic piece fly off the vehicle as I'm driving down the road. Called and text the sales... guy, Brian Stout and explained what happened. His response was text me pictures of the vehicle.I waited 5 hours for him to respond. When he did he stated he would have to ask the sales manager. When I didn't hear back from him after 5 hours I called and stated if the parts are not fixed I'll be returning the vehicle. This got a response back from Brian that the sales manager agreed to fix the part. Schedule an appointment for items to be repaired on 01/15/18 and was told we could pick-up car the next day. Received a call 4 hours later that car was ready. Once we arrived the Service manager was very rude and unprofessional. Just handed us the keys and pointed outside "saying car is parked out there" We went searching for the car and had to set off the emergency alarm on the button to find the vehicle. Inspected the vehicle and found the part they replaced still was not fixed. Went inside and they stated this is a common problem and will send someone outside to look. Guy came out looked at the vehicle and he too stated this is a common problem with the Ford vehicle's and they "just were not put together correctly" I'll need to bring the vehicle inside to fix it. My husband and myself walked back inside the service desk and we waited for about 4 minutes then had to walk up and ask someone if there was a placed to sit while we wait. They pointed around the corner and stayed "yes in there". The service all together was very poor and unprofessional! I have already told friends and family do not go to Ford City for a new vehicle and/or have any service done there.
Great experience buying my new (to me) truck here. I looked for months to find the exact vehicle I wanted, down to the color, trim level and mileage.... I live a few hours away, so I was wanting to get as many details as possible nailed down prior to making the trip to see the car. Adrian was very accommodating of my various requests- additional pictures, vehicle history report, service documentation, etc. Everything was accurately represented when I finally saw the car in person - No hidden surprises. Closing the deal with Tim and Dan was very straightforward and issue-free. I could not be happier with my vehicle and the buying process.
I had a car break down. took them a week to even look at it. By this time I paid my local Ford dealer to retrieve the car and fix it. Embarassing really.
Everything went very well from my initial online inquiry to Brian Stout about the new F250 to making the final deal including my trade of my 2012 Ram.... The paperwork process at the dealer was exceptionally easy and one of the nicest purchase experiences I have ever had for a new vehicle. I typically purchase on average 1 new vehicle every year for our family of 5 and I wish every dealer I have dealt with created as positive of an experience as Champaign Ford City. Because of the entire experience from start to finish it was well worth my 6-hour round trip! That's saying something positive about a dealership! Thank you Champaign Ford City in Champaign IL.
