First time buying a car over the internet- sight unseen. Photos of car / description were accurate. Follow up and follow through was good. Straight forward... experience. Easy to contact for questions and information all through the process.
I was recently shopping for a GMC Envoy XL and found one here. I decided to email the dealer and decided to go look at it. Upon my arrival at the dealership,... I walked into the sales office, which was empty, and then stood on the lot while 4 workers looked at me and did not approach me. I finally found someone willing to help and was offered a test drive. As soon as the employee started the car he said he needed to fuel it up. 15 minutes later another worker came and said the person getting the fuel had to run an errand and would be back in 30 minutes!! 30 minutes passed and the original person came back and said the car had a problem and had to goto the shop. The next day I was told the car was repaired, a simple O2 sensor had gone bad... I decided to go for a test drive... I got about a block from the facility when the low oil pressure light came on, 0 oil pressure unless I gave it gas. I took it back to the dealer.... fast forward a month when I looked on their website... they upped the price $2000!!!
First of all, I should have turned around when I arrived. The lack of care they put into the "look" of their dealership matched my overall experience.... I bought a car that needed over 2K in repairs- most of which my mechanic said they undoubtably would have known about. They made a promise to make it right and after several months of hounding them, I just gave up. If you still feel the need to buy from them, get a warranty, get any agreement you make with them in writing.
