    Out-of-state buyer hunting online for a good deal, found what I needed at VW of Salem. First, the price was a deal. Second, the buying process was mostly... painless... Communication with sales was easy by email, text, and a few phone calls. Most of the difficulty was actually on my bank's end. No weird pressure or vibes from sales when I told them I had financing already lined up. Once everything was lined up, they picked me up from Portland airport and took the vehicle for a test drive, then quickly finished up the purchase. Only delay was apparently one detailer working so getting that final complimentary carwash took a while. Will consider buying from them again when it's time to replace the wife's car!

    re: Car dealerships: I know a thing or two coz I have seen a thing..... With that said at an average I buy two cars a year. Over the years this is the... best dealership experience I have had. First lets just get one thing out of the way that dealerships are not there to attain sainthood - they have a goal to make money and understandably so...with that said These people did the least amount of back/forth and haggling. Extremely professional and amazingly candid at accepting their mistakes (Dealerships are usually not known for this virtue). Providing loaner was a breeze. At one point they made a suggestion where it would save me some money (could have easily said the other - where they would have made more) I would love to do business with them again and will happy to refer my friends/fam to them

    Love,love,love this dealership. Tanya was very knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure I knew everything about my new car. I am very pleased to have... purchased a new car from her (Volkswagen). My very first new car, at a reasonable payment. I recommend anyone to ask for Tanya to buy a a new/used car.

    if you want to them screw you around not remember what you told them and ping your credit 5-6 times and when you tell them 0-$1000 down and they tell... bank $4500 down and you told them you don't have that and after 15 hrs it takes talking to a boss sales manger to get them to even look for a loan!!!! i am disabled an 15 hrs of sitting doesn't work for my back the ADA should like hearing about this. but they ruin your credit by tagging you so many times... friendly but overpriced as they buy them in canada an exchange rate for last 5 yrs is $.75us to canada $1.00 so their $15000 trk is actually $11000

    The whole process was pretty smooth at first. Although after I purchased my new 2019 Jetta the noise from the defective torque converter started getting... louder. I took it back to the dealership and the lead mechanic Steve said wow there is definetely an issue with the RPM’s. This was from the LEAD mechanic at VW. They gave me a rental car and said they would fix the issue. After a couple days Salem VW Called me and said there was nothing they could do and the sound was normal. I would highly Not recommend purchasing a 2019 Jetta.

    We went to Salem Volkswagen for a used vehicle which was listed on cars.com. The sales people were very knowledgeable, showed the proper interest in us... as buyers and applied no pressure on us to buy something that day. Between phone calls, emails and our visit to the dealership, I was very happy with my experiences with them. I didn't end up buying the vehicle I went to see but would go back without hesitation if I saw something online again.

    I don't usually write reviews, but my experience here was incredibly frustrating. I went in a few months ago to look at a car I'd seen online. It was a... used vehicle with a few problems, but I wasn't worried as they assured me that their mechanics had looked it over. I ended up purchasing the car and within a couple months, I've spent nearly $1200 in repairs. The car is also currently at a mechanic where I received the news that it needs a new engine. I haven't even touched one of the problems that I knew about. Then, I called and talked to a salesman who said that it was a salvage and I had signed something acknowledging that. I have a copy of what I signed, and it said as is/parts only, not salvage. When I mentioned that, he said they make sure to be really clear about it, but they didn't tell me that once (I wouldn't have been interested in a salvage car). Regardless, he said they wanted to make it right and could talk about trading it in. He told me to stop the work on the car and to come in to meet with him. I went in on a day that he wasn't there, but talked to another person who was aware of the situation. I reiterated my problem and he told me that what I could get back depended on what I traded for. I spent an hour and a half looking at and talking through options. Finally, the salesman took all the information in to the manager who said he would give me $500 for the car because he didn't want to deal with it. He even told me that if I wanted them to work with me more, I needed to repair the car and take down a review I put up a few days earlier. What a joke and a complete waste of time. I also find it incredibly unprofessional that the general manager was trying to manipulate me to improve his ratings. I'm incredibly disappointed in this dealership. I wasn't expecting a perfect car, but I expected so much more than this. They should really take better care of their customers.

    Chris was excellent. No pressure to buy. He listened to me and found me the vehicle I was looking for. I usually drive up to Beaverton to purchase my... new cars. No more. I will be back. Ask for Chris. He got me an excellent price for my trade-in.
