Buying a car in Nissan City has been an awful experience. First when we discussed the price they told me that the price they were giving me was the... best they could offer (and all the tactics they used when they tried to push you to close a deal). We closed a deal and while we were waiting for conclude with the financing issues from my bank, they continue announcing the car (I can understand that), but then they changed the price: it was $100 less. Then when I received the approval from the bank, and I asked them to give a simple copy of the papers to see nothing was wrong for the registration, underlying that I didn’t want the originals until they received the check, they refused to do that saying –I quote- that “Until the check is here we can't start anything”. When I asked them about the faster way to do the payment they emailed me "when you have that bring the check here and we give to you all the paper work you need" They received the check - an institutional check-, directly from my bank on Friday 12th at 10.00 am. When I called them at around 3.00 pm that day to see at what time I could go to pick up the papers I was told from some of their managers that it would not be possible to have the papers- and that they would not start to do any paperwork until they cleared the check, nonetheless what it was written in the mail, and that next Tuesday papers will be ready. He added that he has been in the business for 25 years and he knew a check could be cancelled any time, which implies I might cancel the check after receiving the papers. In simple words ZERO TRUST with their clients. So I had to wait until Tuesday. That day the check was cleared. They never called. Instead I had to email them many times, pushing for the papers. Finally, at 8.00 pm, and after many emails, and having to correct them a couple of times, I got the papers for the registration. At that moment I realized that doing the paperwork is actually a pretty simple process, if the dealer wants to, if they are flexible and costumer care prone. At that very moment, their personnel made it clear everything was OK, that after registration I would get the car. I can even recall pretty well that I was told, with a smile, that this process was going to get an end and the only thing left was the car pick up. Yesterday, the registration was finished and when I emailed them to coordinate the pick hour I was asked to send them a prove that the check - they had received last Friday directly from my bank - had been cleared, otherwise they would not give me the car. So I told them that the deal was over, that I wanted my money back, and only at that moment they wrote me saying that if I wanted to pick up the car they “can make that happen”, like they would be doing me a favor. They tried to justify themselves saying that was a mistake because one of their managers was on vacation, so they deputy didn’t know the procedures: In other words a costumer is supposed to stand their mistakes.
Gonzalo sorry that you had such a horrible experience at our dealership. Your situation is different than anything we deal with on a regular basis. Yo...u're a diplomat, new to this country, you didn't have the proper id for us to register the vehicle, you're tax exempt and we didn't secure the loan. Since the manager that saw your check was on vacation, I'm not going to lie my staff was leary. Unfortunately we have a lot of scams involving cars. After contacting my manager that was on vacation, I felt a level of comfort to release the car. Again I (we) apologize for how we made you feel. Nissan City has fully lived up to its advertising claims – and the claims are far from modest. I’ve gotten two new cars from them over the years. I’ve... either dealt directly with or met a number of their staff. They are honest, professional, and down to earth. There is no pressure to buy and purchasing is a straight forward and a pleasant experience. They don’t play games with numbers or your head. Their only trickery is to create a return customer out of you. The service department, particularly Service Adviser John, could not be more personable, knowledgeable, or conscientious. He treats you like you drive a Rolls, and the mechanics are the best. Steven Vazquez, now in charge of used vehicles, sold me my first new car and earned my respect for his honesty and integrity. Jonathan Morales assisted me in my most recent purchase of a new car and did a fantastic job. Kudos to management. Quality does not come easily.
Debbie is personable, NOT aggressive and easy to work with. The finace person also was very pleasant. The whole experience was easy and positive and I... was not given a deadline to make a decision like other dealerships have given me. I liked that the whole deal was done on my terms and timetable.

Shawn Hutton was my salesman. He took my daughter and I out for a test drive immediately. He gave us all the details of the Nissan Rogue S we were interested... in. He even educated us on what a certified vehicle was and all the perks of getting one. I felt like I was in good hands and although I didn't get the car I will surely return for he was kind and I feel he had my best interested at hand. I have referred friends and family to him.
I went to Nissan City with a specific car/model that I was interested in! They happened to have it on the lot and I took it for a "test drive"! My car... salesperson, Shawn Hutton, went "beyond the call of duty"! We went over the financial paperwork, etc. and long story short, I went back the following Saturday to pick up my new 2018 Nissan Rogue SL! Shawn spent almost two hours going over everything in the car and would not let me leave without me feeling comfortable! He is an exceptional salesperson and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Nissan! I have had my car for a short time now and I love everything about it. Most importantly, if I have any questions about the car, I know I can contact Shawn with any questions I might have...he is an asset to Nissan City in Port Chester, NY!

Everyone and I mean everyone from the front desk to the business department gave great, quality customer service and made me feel comfortable even having... not the best credit !!! They didn't treat me any different than someone with good credit . I worked with Steven and Dave and they are the absolute best and gave me every bit of information I needed ! Even the staff who wasn't working with me gave me such great vibes/support . I went front a 1999 Volvo to a 2015 Honda Accord ! Blessed to have done it with Nissan City!!! I will be recommending them to EVERYONE !

I did buy a truck from this dealer, not even a month later something went wrong with it. I called them, but they told me I had to call the stended ... warranty, water pump, and radiator. I think they know.
