My husband and I started our search for a new vehicle. We knew we were going to purchase a new Ford. We contacted another dealership and had a very unpleasant and costly experience with them, only to find out they were very deceitful. At that point, we contacted Greg Smith Ford, quite apprehensively, I must add, and WOW!!! We were treated like royalty. We talked with Greg Smith personally, who followed our entire experience. They didn't have the car on their lot that we wanted, but after telling them exactly what we wanted, Dwayne Compton, the sales manager and Greg located us the exact 2012 Ford Fusion that we dreamed of. Greg, personally went and picked up our new vehicle. The entire staff at Greg Smith Ford was amazing to deal with and made our purchase a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. Ken and I would highly recommend Greg Smith and his entire staff to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.....new or used. They put the true meaning in "Going the extra mile" to service their customers. Greg Smith Ford you have restored our faith and made us very happy, satisfied customers. Thank you all!! We love you!!

I found a truck that I liked through cars.com, at Gregg Smith Ford in Clinton MO. I drove down from Des Moines IA (4HRS) I got there, i was greeted very quickly. Almost immediately, I was handed the keys to the truck so I could kick the tires. After the test drive, I sat down with Dwayne Compton, my sales person. He was very polite, funny, but professional as well. We talked about the truck, which he admitted to not knowing everything detail and gadget about it, but was quick to find answers to every question that I had. I offered my 2013 Hyundai Sonata as a trade. This didn't go as well as I had hoped. I thought that I would get a couple more thousand than was offered. After some haggling , we agreed on a price, and soon I was signing paperwork. I was then greeted by Gregg Smith himself. The owner was there on a Saturday afternoon. Impressive, at least to me. He was a riot. He gave Dwayne the gas card and instructed him to fill my F250 Super Duty 6.7 Powerstroke with diesel. Well alright!! That was $64 right there. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Everyone was nice. I have bought a bunch of cars from many different dealerships, and this place was one of the nicer ones I've had to endure. They offered me coffee/soda/water, and doughnuts. The visit took about 3.5 hours, but considering that I was buying from out-of-state, and dickering over the price of my trade. I was still left impressed. The dealership is kinda small but warm and welcoming. I would consider buying there again if they had the vehicle that I was looking for. Even though it is 180 miles from home.

I purchased a CPO Lincoln MKX from Gregg Smith Ford Lincoln. Within 5 days of delivery, my vehicle was back at this dealership because the driver's seat was severely broken down, which caused excruciating discomfort. Although I requested that the passenger seats be checked, they were not. Also within this time span when I put my car in park, it put itself in neutral. This was very scary. I noticed extreme road noise, unlike other 2016 Lincoln MKX that I had the opportunity to drive. My car was returned to me about a week later. The driver's seat had been re-cushioned, but shortly after, the agonizing discomfort of the drive continued. I was told that the issue with PARK and NEUTRAL had been fixed. However the road noise remained the same, and after several days got worse. This leaves me to question the honesty and integrity of this of Gregg Smith Ford/Lincoln dealership. I took my car to my local Lincoln Dealer and was told that some of the road noise was due to the fact that I needed my tires rotated and a wheel alignment, in which I had to pay for :(. While at my local dealership, I shared my concern that the illumination on the driver's door handle did not work, so my door handle had to replaced. Okay, I have had my vehicle for less than two full months, and a few days ago it was dead as a door knob in my driveway. I purchased this Lincoln CPO because of the promise and guarantee of the LINCOLN CPO statement " THE BENEFITS THAT COME FROM OWNING A LINCOLN CPO VEHICLE WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. THE PRIVILEGE OF A LINCOLN IS OUR COLLECTIVE PROMISE THAT WE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU." Every Lincoln that we certify is gently used and must adhere to our meticulous 200-point inspection process. If it meets our specifications, WE GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL MEET YOURS .I have pleaded with the owner to help with my concerns. The seats are unbearable. It leaves for a very unpleasant and painful drive. Although I am still having concerns with the excessive road noise and excruciating discomfort with my seats, I thank GOD for my local Lincoln Dealership, they have been very supportive and accommodating. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE BUYING A CPO OR USED VEHICLE IS TO HAVE AN INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED MECHANIC TO CHECK THE VEHICLE THOROUGHLY BEFORE PURCHASE, TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE MECHANIC YOU CHOSE, HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC DONE, AND GET A TRUE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE PURCHASE.
She is correct when she states that she did purchase a CPO Lincoln and that we involved Lincoln in the process of fixing her seat. In fact, Lincoln replaced the entire seat cushions with new seat cushions after we drove to her house ( approximately two hours away and provided her with a loaner vehicle) than brought her MKX back to the dealership for concerns and then returned to her place of business. Regarding her statement of road noise; we had several managers and technicians drive her vehicle while it was in our possession for seat repairs, and no one was able to hear excessive road noise. However, we did let her know we would be more than happy to look at her noise issue again if she could bring the vehicle to us. We needed both the vehicle and her so our service technicians could ride with her and she could point out the noise. She declined our invitation. This vehicle was purchased at the Ford/Lincoln Factory program sale, specifically for Ms. Neal, equipped exactly as she had specified. She was elated with the vehicle at the time of delivery and very polite and appreciative. These negative comments have come as a complete shock to us and we have done everything within our power and allowed by Lincoln to make her a completely satisfied customer. We are sorry we have not been able to meet her expectations and plead with her to bring the vehicle to us so we can try and resolve her concerns.
