Dealer add ons $$$$$$$

AVOID: They add a mandatory $2700 Dealer package to their new Kia ON top of the the MSRP. 2,396 dollars for ValproCity Plus and 395 for reva braking system. The salesman was awesome, the dealership policies are terrible. I will happily fly to Minneapolis or Denver and drive the same car back for $2700 savings (likely more). IF they do this before the sale, I can't imagine how servicing goes.

When "Warranty" is a four-letter word

I bought a "new used" car there and refused to buy the extended warranty that they super-aggressively market (as part of their agreement with another company). I was already spending thousands more than on-line estimates for same make/model/mileage and didn't want the extra expenses. I had to say a very loud NO at least eight times, possibly 12, to two different people. Today, I was at a repair shop that gave me an estimate for brake repair and asked if I wanted to check with Kia, as the car is under warranty (3 years old, 41,000 miles). When I called Kia, they acted like they were doing me a favor to give me their "first available" 23 days away. Without even seeing the car, they used high pressure tactics to suggest it was either my fault for not getting alignments often enough (not true, I just get basic maintenance done at other places that aren't as expensive) or that it probably wasn't even something covered by the warranty. The only concession they made was to suggest an appointment only two weeks away might be available. Everything in their loud, aggressive presentation style was about poor, misunderstood, overworked Kia ("We're so busy this time of year." "We've got so many customers." "We don't pay our service people by the job--we have to pay them by the hour!") Not one statement even pretending concern about safety, affordability, and convenience for the customer (or the other drivers on the road). So I'm going to spend the $500 for Tires Plus to fix the problem. Really glad I didn't buy the over-marketed, shoved-down-the-customer's-throat Extended Warranty when they don't have time even to see cars with regular basic warranties.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Jerid, Rico, and Mike at Billion Kia service department are nothing but AMAZING. My transmission went out at a very bad time during my travels, and I had it towed to the Kia shop in Rapid City, SD. The manager warned me that it could be a month or more for a new transmission to come in from the main Kia hub. I don't know what he did, but he worked miracles!!! My transmission was shipped in, replaced, AND an oil change and new tires, all in ONE week's time!!! I can't say enough positive things about how Jerid, Rico, Mike, and Jerid's entire team go above and beyond for their customers. I will recommend this place as long as those 3 are there!!

Billion is the Best! Service Dept is outstanding

With our car breaking down while on vacation and hundreds of miles from home being serviced at Billion in Rapid City SD was truly a comfort experience. Well trained staff with a lot of patience met us, helped us and kept us informed thru the whole ordeal. Sure wish we had this dealership in Chicago!

xxxx kia

Do not ever go to Billion Auto - Kia in Rapid City After they screwed up the initial problem with my car by not fixing it, they refused to get my car in to fix it again, had another dealer fix what they thought was broken, never fixed the problem. Refused to pay the bill for the misdiagnosis. Offered me a free oil change and full detail-when I took them up on the offer-they ”found” over 1.5K dollars worth of issues on the problem I already asked them to fix twice. As I got my new car just now-the mechanic STOLE MONEY OUT OF MY CAR I’m so angry about it- xxxx you Ricco

Excellent Service Department.

Awesome Service Department. Very helpful to me and treated me with respect regardless of the fact that I did not purchase my vehicle at this dealership.

Really great service department!

The service department at Billion Kia is absolutely fantastic! They are genuine, honest, and will not just "find" things wrong just to make money. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are getting the service you need at reasonable prices. I just had a synthetic oil change done, a cabin air filter replaced, and 2 brand new tires put on (really great Michelin tires) and the total bill, with tax, was just over $400. That is extremely reasonable for all of that! I will continue to take my car here and only here. I live half the time in Illinois and half the time in Rapid City, and I will only get my car serviced in Rapid when I'm back.

Awful service.

One of the absolute worst dealerships in Rapid City. They sold me a lemon that started falling apart within days of getting it home. It had no spare tire, and when I tried to get one from them, the hoops I had to jump through were exhausting. It's been a month and they still haven't gotten me the spare or the inflation kit the car was supposed to come with. They can boast that they have some of the most dishonest salesman in the area. My wife was the one who bought the vehicle, and their salesman's are coming. She got charged high Blue book for a vehicle in incredibly poor repair. The seats had cigarette burns and knife cuts on them, and the vehicle was dented and rusted. If you do visit this location, do not speak to John Lipp. He's awful. Without a doubt some of the worst customer service I've ever gotten.

Highly recommended by a "senior citizen."

Each time I've brought my '17 Sportage in for service, I've found that the service department is staffed with highly trained, responsible and courteous employees. They've managed all the services on this vehicle with quick turnaround and thorough inspections. Although the car was purchased from another Kia dealership, I'm treated as though I'd bought it from Billion. That's service I feel exceeds my expectations. Hats off to the entire staff!

Run Fast!

I looked at a used Vehicle at Billion. I have never had such a horrible experience. Test drove the car And they test drove my car. When I got back to negotiate I found out they already ran my credit from my driver license Without my permission. Then they pulled every high pressure tactic available. I told them I wanted to think about it and the sales guy exploded. He pushed my daughter out of the way and I had to really push to get my car keys back after they test drove my vehicle. I buy a lot of cars and never experienced anything like this At toyota, granite, Courtesy Subaru, etc. please do not step foot in this dealership unless you want to be abused!
