We were reluctant to buy a car sight unseen. The car showed up and we loved it. We had been looking for a low mile Cadillac for a while. Thanks, Mood and... his team!
The guys at Midwest Auto Collection were friendly and professional. Straight forward no nonsense dealing with them on the purchase of my used vehicle.... I would definitely buy from them again.
Being an older gentleman who is new to the online car buying game, i was reluctant to buy sight unseen. The staff was very helpful in discussing the car... and they sent me a video to further satisfy my concerns. It was a seamless process and knowing that a 20 some year old car may need something at any time, the staff still did a nice job of servicing the car. I love my Buick Roadmaster wagon!
I recently completed an out of state deal with Midwest Auto Collection. It was a fairly complex deal that involved a trade in. Although I've purchased... a few higher end cars out of state before, I'd never done a trade. Shipping my car out of state to a dealer I knew nothing about was frightening. Reading all the great reviews about them was definitely helpful though, so here I am writing mine. Anyway, I was on my couch at night when I spotted the car I was interested in and sent them an email. Assuming I wouldn't get a response until the next day, I went to bed. Much to my surprise, my phone rang about an hour later and it was Steve from Midwest Auto. During our phone conversation I explained that although I was interested in their Corvette, I had an Audi R8 I needed to sell before I could make another car purchase. Steve asked me all about my R8 and requested I email him info on it. We had a deal worked out 60 minutes later and the whole thing was done while I was in bed! Being located in Boston, I was unable to personally inspect the Vette myself and Steve was unable to inspect my Audi. We arranged for my R8 to go to my local Audi dealer for a pre-purchase inspection and the Vette went to a Chevy dealer near Midwest Auto Collection for the same type of inspection. Once the inspections were done, we each had a conversation with the tech who performed the inspection and were told the cars were in excellent condition. It's always a good idea to do your due diligence on any car so there are no surprises! Once the inspections were out of the way, shipping arrangements were made, each car was loaded onto an enclosed trailer and a few days later both cars were delivered with zero problems. This deal took a lot of trust on behalf of Steve and I. There were all kinds of "what if" scenarios running through my head but in the end it all worked out exactly as planned. I commend and highly recommend Steve and the dealership for making a complex, out of state trade on 2 high end cars very easy and totally transparent. I would absolutely buy from these guys again! Super friendly and very accommodating.
Bought a used Mercedes with 162,000 miles on it, the heat wasn't working and the owner told me it would probably need a thermostat or a heater core or... could also be related to the heater controls, I negotiated the price down a few hundred dollars due to the work it needed. The owner Mr. Khallid said that the car ran fine and that they had put several hundred miles on it with zero issues. I bought the car on a Saturday and had it taken in to be looked at on Monday, it was diagnosed as a bad Headgasket totaling over $5k in work, I contacted the owner and asked him to either refund my money and take the car back or adjust the price to help cover these enormous costs. He offered to buy the car back for half of what I paid!!!! So apparently I was suppose to accept losing $3k and just give him the car back. After further investigation and reviewing the paperwork as well as the title it turns out they had only put 30 miles on the car from the time they got it until I bought it, hmmmm wonder if they knew it had a bad headgasket. Either way I now have a car that in good running condition is worth about $8k but to get it into good running condition I will have invested over $11k. I'm sure Mr Khallid the owner will have some reply to this review, like the car had high miles, you should have know, you bought it as is etc..... the car was inspected by an independent shop with over 20 years specializing in European cars and was also looked at recently by my local Mercedes Dealer, all with the same conclusion. So in closing regardless of what Mr Khallid will say about my review, I would be very careful purchasing something for Midwest Auto Collection as they have no moral compass. I have been dealing with this problem for weeks now and we've reached a point where he won't even answer my calls. Buyer Beware
At the time of Mr. Becks purchase, we noticed that the heat in the car was not working. We had mentioned to Mr. Beck that we weren't exactly sure what... it could be. We mentioned a few possibilities, but we weren't knowledgeable enough to make an exact diagnose. We had also driven the car over 30 miles and let the car idled for some time during detail. We had seen no signs of the vehicle overheating. This car has great service history from a Mercedes Benz dealer throughout its history as well. Mr. Beck went outside and made a few calls (assuming his mechanic) and came back and still wanted to buy the car, but at a lower price. We told him that if he doesn't feel comfortable buying it, not too. He offered us $722 less for the vehicle and we accepted his offer. He also offered him an extended warranty for some piece of mind and he signed a waiver of warranty form (we have on file). At no time on Mr. Becks drive back home (137 miles) did he call us or email us about the vehicle overheating. The service bill Mr. Beck provided us also has 130 more miles on the car after getting home, so a total of 267 miles since making the purchase. After receiving the repair bill from his mechanic of $5k, we asked for the shop to provide us proof that the car needed head gaskets. A simple service repair bill wasn't sufficient for us to go by. Mr. Beck declined to provide us proof or a leak down test and kept telling us to talk to his mechanic. We offered to buy the car back less half of the repairs even though he bought a very high mile German car, we told him not to buy it because it is a gamble on the true diagnose of the issue and he refused extended warranty protection. We then offered to have the car shipped back to us at our expense so that we could have a reputable shop by us give us a diagnose. This would have allowed us to know what the real diagnose was. At the time of the purchase, this CLS 550 also had an $11,250 suggested value per Carfax with 162k. We had sold the car to Mr. Beck for $6500 because the driver’s seat needed to be replaced and the driver’s door panel was taped up as well. We sell hundreds of cars every year and it was really unfortunate that we couldn't come to terms with Mr. Beck.
Didn't leave a 5 star review as there is always room for improvement. These guys are easy to deal with, keep their word and went the extra mile to help... with some title issues because we were out of state and a trust fund issue with the vehicle. Overall very pleased with the service.
After late night online searching I came across the car we had been looking for. Extra seating, more trunk space and ultimate luxury. I emailed them and... they responded quickly and answering all my question. Knowledgeable about the car and it's amenities. Mahmood was very professional as well as personable. Made us feel like we WEREN'T just a check. Paperwork was quick & painless and treated use with respect & dignity. The facility was very clean and they were accominating to the needs of my 3 kids.
Over the course of the last 7 years, I have had multiple transactions with Midwest Auto Collection. I have sold them multiple cars; I have purchased multiple... cars - each experience has been amazing. Mahmood treats his customers well - he is respectful, concerned about customer satisfaction and follows through on his promises. I have worked with many high-end dealerships - my experience at Midwest always exceeds the quality service I receive at the other dealerships. Currently, I just purchased a vehicle from Midwest - and again, have had the same quality experience. Mahmood arranged for an extended test drive and encouraged me to take the car to my personal mechanic. A few items were discovered by my mechanic and Mahmood worked with me to finalize a very fair transaction. Again, I appreciate his professionalism, and follow through. I strongly encourage others to visit the dealership - they always have a unique collection of cars! Also, it's great to support an independent business!!!
I highly suggest Steve. We have bought two vehicles and they have been great!
When you first pull up, you may think, "where the heck am I?" as this doesn't look like your typical used car dealer. It's off the beaten path, in an industrial... park. That's how you know you aren't going to get the typical "used car experience" at this dealer. We were looking for a car for our newly-licensed 16-year old and found Midwest Auto Collectors on cars.com. Called to see if the vehicle was available and if we could come look at it. They told us it was and to come on over. We arrived and Justin took us to see the vehicle. The warehouse/showroom was packed with vehicles! All appeared to be in great condition and he was able to get the vehicle out for us to test drive. We were pleasantly surprised when the car drove like a dream. We went back, asked them to "make us a deal we couldn't refuse" and they did. We were in and out in under an hour. We, and more importantly our son, love the car and will definitely go back the next time we are in the market for a used vehicle. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out. You won't regret it!
