REALLY WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO GIVE 1 STAR!!! AND THIS IS GOING TO BE A LONG POST! So i bought my new to me car from them at the end of June and 2 weeks later... my engine light came on(i understand with a used car, that can happen) so the receptionist made me an appt. for Saturday morning at 10am and explained to me that it had to be in the morning on saturday because that is the only time her used car mechanic had available. On the day of the appt. i get there and the service manager for that day explains to me that the used car mechanic doesnt even work on Saturdays!!! They explained that my car needed to stay for the day and they would call me within the next 2 hours with an update after they run a test to see what code comes up. So i had my friend pick me up. At 3:30 i never heard anything so i called them and they then tell me my car needs to stay until Monday so the correct guy can look at it. so i leave it there. On Monday, i called a few different times and could not get anyone to give me an answer as to what was happening with my car. Finally after 3pm i got a call saying that a sensor went bad and needed to be replaced and that i could pick my car up Tuesday morning and that they would give me a call when it was ready. On tuesday, nobody called me, so at about 1pm i finally got someone to answer and they told me my car had been ready and was just waiting to be picked up. So i go get my car and The service tech informed me they drove my car to ALPINE (not sure why they needed to go to Alpine ) 2 times to test that everything was ok and then they try to charge me for the service!!!! I had only had my car 2 weeks and also had paid for the extended warranty for that kind of stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after getting upset, the manager came over and waived the fees. so i get in my car and start to drive off and notice that my front windshield now has 3 chips on it (that were not there when i dropped the car off on the previous saturday!). So i had to take my car back AGAIN so they could "fix" the damage that was caused while they had my car. They then said they needed to keep my car until Wednesday. At first they said they would not even give me a rental car but after some back and forth conversations, they finally gave me one. when i returned on Wednesday, they had only filled in the chips on my windshield (i think they should have replaced it being it was a new car for me and the chips were not there before!) and a scratch is still there. so i just left because i was extremely upset and had nothing nice to say. Fast forward to the last week in July, i finally get my registration from Subaru of El Cajon and the DMV and it shows that my registration is only valid until October of this year!! Every time i have bought a car, they have paid the first years registration. So now i have to pay almost $300 for my registration after only having my car a month!! I feel you guys should pay it after all the bulls**t your company has put me through in the last month. I have NEVER had this bad of an experience with a car dealership in my life and REFUSE to ever use you guys again, nor recommend you to anyone i know. Not our employees, not my friends, and not my family! I will be leaving reviews on every website possible!
Excellent experience with an easy purchasing process. Royal Wilkinson made it all just a breeze and I saved $$$ at the same time. I highly recommend this... dealership and Royal above all others.
Just bought a new Forester at El Cajon Subaru and had a great experience. Rick was super friendly and helpful. Then Royal Wilkenson gave us a personal... tutorial on everything and anything our new car can do, which was super helpful and fun to learn. Thanks guys for all the special attention! Our sales Rep. was Royal and he did an outstanding job. He didn't make me feel pressured at all going into the sale, like I had felt from other salesmen.... Overall Great experience .
After shopping and looking at several cars, my wife and I were so pleased we went to Subaru of El Cajon! Jeff Richards was genuine and very helpfuls a... he guided us through all the options for a new Subaru! Also a shout out to Cody Stoecker in the finance department, he was able to find us a great rate and a payment that worked best for our budget!
Not pleased with this dealer's communication or follow up. We searched a car on Cars.com and found one we were interested in. The dealer was 150 miles... away so I emailed them 3 days in advance to make sure the car was there and to advise them if my interest. I emailed back and forth with "Alana" who was helpful, but apparently did not check with her partners. We got there and the car was nowhere to be found. They eventually found it and said we can look at it, but can't start it or look inside....wah? The car did not run and had not been detailed...waste of time! The manager said he would call me back when it was running.....and never heard from them again.z
I normally do not write reviews as I hate all the adds that follow. This time however I thought it was necessary. This purchase was my third one from ROYAL... at El Cajon Subaru. He was fantastic in getting me a deal that I could not refuse. The finance department was a breeze and took only about 40 minutes from saying yes to getting the keys. On Delivery, this is when Royal on his day off came in and spent over an hour showing me all the details on the car and hooking up my phone etc. It was such a positive experience I will only buy from him in the future.
Great experience! Royal W. was professional, knowledgeable and patient while explaining our new suburu to us. Ask for him!
Jack Manchester is the BEST! He walked me through the lease process ( it was my first lease, I normally buy) and there was no pressure just the facts... and the numbers to back it up. It was a quick and seamless process and I was on my way in a couple of hours. Love my car, and I will be back in 3 years to see what new cool stuff Jack has to offer. Thanks Jack!
