When it comes to the service department Mike is an excellent first contact. Always efficient and attentive. Basic service is exceptional. Repairs not so... much. My right side blind spot monitor is inconsistent in alerting. The technician indicated I didn't understand how they worked and decided there was no problem. All I do know is the right one is inconsistent and the left one is consistent identifying cars on the highway. No resolution.

Buying a car is a big purchase and being a female and going in to buy a vehicle can be even more "fear-provoking". Not to worry when dealing with Michael... Jessup and the team at Conklin. They are fair,honest, personable, and genuine in their dealings. They don't work on commission which is virtually unheard of in a is business but this is what sets them apart! They treated me like they would want to be treated. I highly recommend Larry in finance as well! He was thoughtful and dedicated to getting the best rate available and expedited the paperwork- making everything easy for me! We will definitely come back to them! Great job Conklin!

I have always respected Conklin Cars and the Conklin family, but my recent experience was stressful and my recommendation for their dealership in Salina... will not come without a buyer beware......After checking out a car in the Newton facility which we found to be out of our price range (comment - the sales guy was great, understanding and even called me the next day to see if he could help me with anything)...... In Salina later that same evening, my wife found a very cute, dependable vehicle (which we are satisfied with) the sales help and management we found untrustworthy despite being told several times by the sales rep that thought just the mechanics were warrantied, they would work with us with anything else that may develope in the first few weeks that may be unsuspected - this is where the problem lies..... ONE, nobody seemed to know where the extra key was to the vehicle, when we test drove the one we bought - we found keys to another vehicle in it and the sales guy laughed it off saying oh yea just sold that car was wondering where the other keys were, strange......a week later and still no extra key, surely by now we could've had one made or found the old one...... TWO, within 48 hours of purchasing the vehicle a large split in the back of the drivers seat appeared....the split appeared from a previous split that seemed to be poorly repaired....when we asked about it I was told by the sales rep and used car manager that they would get their people on it as soon as possible, but within a couple of days I was then told I caused the issue or maybe someone broke into the vehicle and did it....I don't think so, have had several other experts look at the tear and all agreed it was a poor repair job, some of the foam inside the cover is missing.....instead of being proper, positive, customer oriented folks I am left to deal with it......if they had offered politely to fix it and requested I pay half the amount of repairs, we would be fine...but the final responses from the sales rep and used car manager were rude and pointing blame on us the buyer..... oh, still waiting for the key guy to call me even a full 24 hours after being told he would a full week after purchasing the car!! The vehicle is fine other than the tear, the service toward customers - I will recommend Conklin in Salina only with strong reservations on the trustworthyness of the customer service.
I am glad we have had a chance to resolve this issue with the Key getting done and the vehicle going into the upholstery shop today. Sorry that this h...appened and we are doing everything we can to resolve this situation. We do appreciate your business and glad we have the opportunity to make this right. I live in Texas and found a hard to find vehicle at Conklin via an Autotrader add. I spent a couple days working things out over the phone and drove up... a few days later to pick the truck up. Matt and Todd made everything extremely easy. Very satisfied with my experience.
