Bought vehicle from big P. Had to wait while they took it into the shop for over an hour. This was after a test drive, They said something about ready... for delivery inspection. I left the dealership and drove 12 miles and came to a sputtering halt along the highway. Called for help as Big P did not answer phone. Insttaled new battery and drove home. After review it turned out the alternator did not charge. replaced alt and still no charge , Big P said Bought as is not my problem. Next step call repair shop. Drop it off Wait for the news , someone had removed the warning lights from the alternator circuit , the check engine circuit and the brake warning circuit. All safety related items. Very unhappy about the whole situation . I would not buy or recommend this Dealer Big P to anyone. I feel I was sold a vehicle that had issue the Dealer knew about and covered up. Putting my family at risk of an accident with the warning lights being removed..
If you see a car you like at Big P's don't walk- run the other way I picked a car test drove it and like it seemed okay told them I would go to my bank... and get the money. We were gone an hr got back asked repeatedly before and during the paperwork did they have anything they wanted to disclose no so I paid and returned to my home town about an hour away to get another licensed driver. Returned and picked the car up about 6pm it made it 12miles before it broke down on the highway. Had to return to my hometown for tools and a jump box in the dark near a major highway my brother and father had to get it running to make it home to avoid possibly having the car tagged and towed for an additional cost. When I called the next day for answers nobody answered or returned my phone call. Worked fine when I test drove it who knows what they did to it while I was getting someone to help me pick it up. I would not be surprised if any good review was a fake by their employees. BEWARE!!!!!!!
I've bought a lot of cars from a lot of dealerships, and this was by far the worst experience yet. I called before making the 120 mile drive, to ask if... the mileage posted online was correct (Carfax stated 47,220 back in 2009 and they listed 47,000 currently in 2013). I was asked if I had seen what it said online. I explained that info was 4 yrs old, and asked if they could tell me what the odometer said. I was told they go by the Carfax reading. So I asked if there were any issues or anything wrong with the car. This is when Big Paul (the owner) got on the phone and informed me that there was "nothing wrong with the car". He asked where I was from and I explained it was a 2 hour drive and that I needed to speak with my bank before making the trip. He asked that I call if I decided to come up. After securing a loan, I called and stated I was on my way. When I arrived, I was not met by any salesperson, and Paul seemed very uninterested in speaking with me. In fact, he never got out of his chair (in his defense he does have a large flatscreen TV at his desk, and whatever show was on must have been extremely interesting). So his receptionist set me up for a test drive with their mechanic. Now apparently the mechanic knew nothing about the car, which would explain why it had so many issues. Where to start.... 1981 Corvette: remember I was told "nothing wrong"....2 cracks in the windshield, cracked paint, wipers were shot and falling off, taillight was not screwed on but just sitting in the hole, drivers window did not work at all, the window switch was missing with exposed wires hanging out where it should be, no stereo (more exposed wires hanging out), when I attempted to adjust the side view mirror, the entire assembly came out of the door, the heater/AC did not work at all, could not even move the switches and the fan never came on, there were multiple oil leaks around the heads, the air conditioning aluminum tube was completely broken and just sitting in two pieces, crushed/pinched exhaust pipes and several exhaust leaks, the driver side headlight only came up about 3/4 of the way after pulling on it by hand, and many other interior issues like panels falling off, speakers hanging out, missing screws etc. When I returned from the drive, I was again not met by anyone. After standing outside for about 10 minutes in disbelief of all of the issues that needed fixed, I finally went inside. Paul (still watching his tv show) asked what I thought. I told him it needed a lot of work and listed off what I had seen. Some of which he agreed with, some he tried to deny. I asked his bottom dollar, he said it was listed at the bottom dollar and "it's not a horse, I'm not gonna give it away". He told me to make an offer so I did. Cash, $1500 below what it was listed at as I figured it needed AT LEAST $2,000 to get it in decent shape. He scoffed and said "no, I'll find someone else." No attempt at negotiating, no counter offer, nothing. I'm not sure how this guy sells any cars. Perhaps I would have better luck on a day when his favorite show is not on. Good luck to anyone else who tries doing business here.
I didnt even go to the dealership. All i did was call about a car and they didnt give me any answers other than the color. I even asked him to go look... at all the things i wanted to know about the car and he said he was too busy and didnt want to go look. Bad experience
Big P's is a great low-priced car dealer with cars is amazing condition for their price! Great with letting prices go down from original price and great... with doing repairs after buying! Keep it up Big P's!
