Air Filter Replacement
Went out to look at a vehicle. It was already sold. Kyle asked me what I needed and was looking for. Showed me several possiblities that didn't quite... fit. The next day he texted/called and said. I have the car your looking for and he was spot on. Thanks for the extra effort and attention to the staff.
Great, non-pressure, buying experience! Loved the selection and the sales department. No one calls you a thousand times or pushes you. However, since we... have to have service done here...we have been disappointed. It takes on average 1.5-2 hours just to have an oil change done. Even with an appointment.
I can't say enough about their service department. I broke down on the side of the Kansas turnpike on the way from Minnesota to San Antonio with my family... in the car. The service manager (Coy) sent one of their guys out with some gas in case it was a problem with the gas gauge. The technician (AJ) came out and was extremely helpful, even following us to our hotel and giving me options to continue troubleshooting the problem. Coy called me the next morning to see how things worked out, then fit my car into their schedule first thing in the morning so we could be on our way. This is a perfect example of the America we all wish for. My local Hyundai dealership in MN has treated me pretty well, but I may just come back to Wichita to buy a car from these guys.
I am a current, returning customer to Schofield Hyundai East. I started the buying process on a Saturday and was given an offer over the phone for my trade... in, sight unseen of course. I decide to go to the dealer the following Monday so that they could actually see my vehicle and re-evaluate the trade-in value considering their offer was nearly 4,000 below market value. Upon seeing my trade, offer didn't budge until I nearly twisted the arm of a man named Sean Parsons who stated the value just wasn't there but "magically" found more money in it. The offer that came back to me with was nothing close to what I was quoted over the phone from Erin Swisher and a woman by the name of Lisa. Despite the nightmarish process of getting a fair price for my trade, I made the silly decision to go ahead and apply for financing. Sat down with a man named Chris Hott who insisted that I finance with a local lender that he has "friends" with and that will do him favors. I insisted that I wanted to go with Hyundai Motor Finance as they handle my current loan and I wanted to continue doing business with them. Waiting for the next day to submit the loan app, I called Erin first thing check on the status and see where things were at. At that moment she wasn't sure but would check with Chris and have him give me a call. I waited from 9 AM till 6 PM and got no phone call. I then reached out to Erin multiple times trying to get information in which my calls and texts were never returned. Fast forward to Wednesday now, I called the dealership first thing in the morning, 9 AM and asked for Chris. I was told by the receptionist that he was with a customer. I asked to be transferred to his voicemail. Instead I was told that she would let him know I called. I called 3 more times throughout that day and still never heard anything back nor was I ever transferred to his line or his voice mail. Now it's Thursday... I called Erin Swisher multiple times between 9 and 9:30 AM and she finally answered. She apologized for the long delay, even thanking me for my patience and stated that I had indeed been strung along throughout this process. She stated that she would get ahold of Chris and have him call me as soon as he could. Around 3:00 on Thursday afternoon, I finally heard from Chris and Sean asking how they could help. I told them I was still looking for a better rate on the financing and to submit it to one last time to whomever they thought would be the best fit for me and to call me back later that evening. I once again, heard nothing and had to call Erin on Friday morning attempting to get information on what had happened. I eventually got a call back from a gentleman who's name I don't recall, who stated that they sent out my credit app more times than what I had authorized to lenders who he himself stated "don't typically have the greatest rates". This moment right here was the final straw. I had turned a blind eye to all the shenanigans and nonsense that had taken place thus far but I could't look the other way on sending out my personal information to anyone with eyes. No thank you. This experience should be enough to prove to nearly anyone that this dealer is dishonest and not trustworthy. Low balling an offer on a trade that was purchased from them, serviced by them, and then doing the exact opposite of what I wanted to do when it came to financing. This dealer works for them and their bottom dollar, not to take care of the customer. Horrible communication from the staff, dishonest, and untrustworthy. As I stated, I am a current Schofield Hyundai customer and I don't feel good about my previous purchase from this dishonest dealer. Please use caution and buy at your own risk.
