First of all, we drove 5 hours in the rain to look at the
First of all, we drove 5 hours in the rain to look at the car. And we called ahead to let them know we would be coming. Once we got there and test drove the car things stalled and took forever. We did chit-chat a little with Jose, but we sat there for several long periods of time without any contact with the salesman or anyone. We came pre-approved for a loan and the salesman promised that they could beat the interest rate. We also asked that they not run our credit more than once as it shouldn't be needed more than once to check numerous financial institutions, however, it was actually run 3 separate times, not once but THREE times. Then when negotiating the price they slyly added a $3500 "reconditioning fee" into the figures thinking we wouldn't notice after a few back and forth negotiations. Luckily we did our homework prior so we caught it quickly. When brought it to their attention, they lied about it being there before until we proved it was not by the figures. As far as the finance guy - he was extremely rude and had absolutely zero personality. And forcing us to put the car on our insurance before processing the paperwork is also very shady. Texas law states we have 30 days to add a new vehicle. Like I said, we did our homework and we will never use this or any related dealership again nor will we recommend this dealership. It was not our first time buying a vehicle so the lack of explanation of the paperwork would not have been tolerated normally, but we mainly just wanted to get out of there since we had a 5 hour drive in the rain to go and had already been there too long as it was. And FYI - you might want to teach all your salespeople how to drive a manual transmission.
