DISHONEST AND NEGLIGENT.

DISHONEST AND NEGLIGENT. DO NOT TRUST THESE TECHS. I went to Lee for a fuel induction service last week and asked them to check my brakes and exhaust because both were being noisy. They charged me $50 to look at my brakes without notifying me it would be an extra fee, and then told me my pins were stuck in the slides and causing uneven wear and I would need a $600 full brake service. That sounded suspicious, so I took my car to the shop that does my brakes and they said that everything looked perfect and I wouldn't need any brake work done for at least a year. Not only that, but the techs at Lee left THREE of my lug nuts loose on one wheel which is incredibly dangerous. For my exhaust, Lee Nissan told me everything looked good. When I left, however, my car was much louder than before, which I assumed was a side effect of the fuel service and would subside. Instead, it got even louder and I started hearing knocking noises when I braked. I had to pull over on a long drive to Massachusetts and discovered that MY TAILPIPE WAS LOOSE. Lee Nissan either did not check my exhaust at all, or they broke it. I went here because they treated me well for a transmission service a few years ago but something has clearly changed. I will be avoiding all Lee dealerships from here on and suggest you do the same.

Good day, Thank you for your detailed review. We do apologize for any miscommunication during your recent visit and would be happy to discuss your visit in more detail if you would like. For clarification we only charged you for work you approved and did not charge for diagnostics for work we did not perform. We also completely understand the second repair shop advising your brakes could wait. We did recommend that they be replaced due to the uneven wear on them but understand someone clarifying that it was a recommendation and not something that needed to be done immediately. Thank you again and we wish you well.

Consumer response

Hello, fees aside your tech absolutely lied to me about my brakes. My slide pins are moving perfectly and the wear on the pads is even. The actual issue was that my caliper needed a tiny bit of grease, which your tech did not even bother to do. This also does not address my exhaust. I specifically asked for it to be looked at, and yet 50 miles after being told it was fine I find that the pipe going to my muffler has completely rusted through and my entire tailpipe is swinging freely. There is no way your tech wouldn't have noticed this if he actually took a look, and apparently nobody thought it was an issue that my car sounds like a motorcycle.

The service department at Lee Nissan always helps with my warranty items and lets me know maintenance like when brakes need replacement. They are very helpful and good about your trucks service. I own a 2021 Nissan Titan sv. Too bad Nissan discontinued manufacturing of the Titan as I owned z71’s until I bought my first Titan in 2005. Horsepower, handling/Ride, and interior/exterior were above the Z71. Hands down. Kudos Nissan.
