Took my 2017 Passat into the service department because it had a massive oil leak. It needed a rear main seal. I was notified by the service manager "nick" that they had tried to fix my car, but were unable because the crankshaft was scored. He was very adamant that i needed a $10,000 dollar new engine because mine was "unfixable" and would not even entertain the idea that the technician had not performed the repair correctly. I only paid them so I could pick up my car and take it elsewhere. When i picked up my car, the transmission was slipping badly!! There was NO transmission issue when the car was dropped at Gorman McCracken. It was driven into the shop. The transmission had to be removed to attempt the engine repair. I ended up trailering my car to a shop in Dallas, who not only fixed my "unfixable" engine, but found almost no fluid in my transmission. This whole debacle ended up costing me the $1200 i paid Gorman McCracken to NOT fix my car, $200 to trailer my car to another shop, $1300 to actually fix the original problem, and $1500 to fix the transmission problem that magically appeared when i picked up my car from Gorman McCracken. Do yourself a favor and skip these folks. If they will do this to me, they will do this to you!

True professionals, it doesn't get much better than this. Great, effective and efficient ASE Certified Techs. My service advisor (Krishna W) was exceptional and very accommodating. Paige was/is superlative, very thorough. Service with a smile, POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. Folks like this will make you come back!!
Never buy a used car from this dealership. My new pre-owned car broke down within a week. My mom was assured by Mike the sales manager that it had received a full inspection. The sign even claims that the cars are certified pre-owned. My friend mechanic is charging me a discounted rate which is still thousands of dollars just to make it drivable. My friends tried to tell me to buy at Peter's but I really wanted a Volkswagen. My mom works hard for her money and now I don't have a car. Please be warned and buy elsewhere.
Awesome and understanding
Alma, Naomi, Dakota, and Thomas were all wonderful. Helped us out with a lower payment and made it easy to trade in my old vehicle. They listened and were not pushy. They didn't give you a line of bull. We told them we weren't interested in the warranty right now and they were okay with that. Not like some just keep pushing you till you scream no. We will definitely recommend them to anyone. I think some local salespeople need to go there to see how to be a salesperson. They answered my questions about anything. I am now a Mazda CX-5 owner. Thank you all.
I just bought a Mazda CX-9 from Gorman McCracken. They dealt with me honestly and I got a great deal. Their sales staff, business manager, and store manager were a joy to work with. I would buy a car from them again anytime!!!

I can not say enough great things about Jonathan, Taylor (Tae Tae), Thomas, and Matt. I have been looking for a reliable, safe, roomy, and fuel efficient car for months. I have looked everywhere from Shreveport, Dallas and many places in between. This was the spot, my mother and I were treated with the upmost respect. Jonathan listened to the very specific list that I wanted and responded promptly. He invited us into the showroom where he presented Mother and I with bottled water and had me sit in (what ended up my new car.) He showed us everything that that particular Jetta had to offer; he then explained what the more equipped cars had vs what the less equipped. He took me to drive a few used models as well as some of the top of the line models. I eventually decided on the mid line Jetta that they had on the showroom floor. The pricing is great and most importantly straight forward. The payments were reasonable as was the months to pay it off. The warentee is absolutely the best part as it last as long as the financing, which in these times is so rare. All the guys at this dealership stayed late for us to finish the purchasing and were more than happy to do so. They weren’t rude, I didn’t feel rushed, and never did I feel like I was being a bother. My boys are 17, 13 and 9. And they’re 6ft 2”, 5’7”, and 4’11” they all weigh well over 100lbs and fit comfortably in the back seat. I can not say enough great things about this car buying experience. I will be sending everyone I know.
Worst Service Department!
Gorman McCracken in Longview has the worst service department. They do not return calls, they are rude and not professional at all! Teres Love is one of the service ladies- if you go here to get service done, opt for not getting her- she is highly unprofessional and does not return phone calls. Go somewhere else if you want good service!

Longview Gorman McCracken Team - Incredible!
I drive approx 3-4,000 miles per month and have been looking for a fuel efficient diesel capable of returning 40 mpg+ while still large enough from a safety perspective. I had read reviews here about Keith Bounds - and believe me, I was not disappointed. Keith was patient, helpful and attentive allowing me to drive several cars. I finally settled on a 2015 Diesel VW Passat - part of the ?fix? program being offered by VW. I?ve been a diesel fan for yrs - and now with the software fix being offered with a TWO year unlimited bumper to bumper warranty, I?m proudly back in the driving seat of a VW diesel. Keith introduced me to Todd McGuire, Parts and Svc Director as well as Thomas Burnes, Fin Mgr. This entire team is top-notch and stand behind the products they sell. Thank you - from our entire family - for making the complete buying experience low-key and customer service friendly. We look forward to having our ?like new? 2015 Diesel Passat serviced by you regularly. I would highly encourage anyone interested in a fuel efficient luxury car to look at VWs new program related to the software fix in the 2015 diesels. Many have less than 15,000 miles on them - and now dealers who sell them now are required to have the software fix adjusted - with documentation - prior to putting them on the lot.
