Plenty of other options out there

11/23/22, about 1pm I found a car on cars.com and submitted an inquiry on it. The internet director Steve L. responded and said they still had the vehicle and could hold the car for me if I advised when I could come see it. At 3:16pm I responded with some general statements and details proposing an appointment for 10am Friday, as they were closed Thursday for Thanksgiving. At 4:35 Steve responded and said he just took a deposit on the vehicle and it’s no longer available. I’m glad it didn’t work out and hope I find what I’m looking for at a place with a little more integrity.

Lemons are us...

This is my second vehical that I have purchased from Mike Smith Volkswagen in Beaumont. The vehical is not worth the price that I paid for it. The car stopped running properly right after the first two weeks so I returned it to the dealership,and they did nothing. Not even four months later the battery that was just put into the car went dead, and it was all corroded. The power windows went out and I cold not roll the drivers window down, and they wanted to charge me $200 for that. This is after I had to pay $100 for a new battery. The car excellerates at a very fast pace if you barely press the excellarator. I am expected to be a mechanic and figure everything out for the company. Meanwhile the car keeps depreciating in value with every new issue that comes up, but I still owe more than the car is worth. #I am purchasing a lemon from Mike Smith Volkswagen of Beaumont.

Maintenance

Service was great, the price was fair, and the service rep was very knowledgeable of what I needed done and it was done in a timely manner. The mechanic did the checkup and pointed out everything that needed to be repaired in the near future.

Our experience in purchasing a used Ford Edge

Our sales lady was great. She made us laugh and relax as we were going to spend a lot of money on a car. However, Skylar, in finance, made us very nervous and uptight as he challenged our comments and acted very cocky and rather disrespectful. He interrupted our conversation and acted like we didn’t know what we were talking about. Finally, Chris came in and deflated the situation and made us calmer which is what a finance person should do. I would strongly suggest that Skylar take a class in active listening skills. We don’t want other customers to be treated this way. It was almost a deal breaker. Then, a few days later we went in again to check on the status of another key for our car. We were very blessed to speak to Anthony and he was extremely helpful, kind, patient and understanding with us. Anthony was an excellent listener and immediately began to rectify the problem which he did. We’re so very grateful for Anthony and all that he did to help us with our car.
