I worked with John for 5 days by email because my car was totaled and I couldn't get to where he was- he was very professional- I would recommend him... to any friend or family member.
Professional, quick and helpful. The techs provide helpful suggestions, owners are knowledgable and care about their customers.
I highly recommend a visit to Exit 11 Auto if you are looking for a great used car. My experience was an over all pleasant one from start to finish. Communication... and service was excellent. The car I chose was clean through and through, all the work done and the vehicle ready to go. John was welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating, and thorough. I have been enjoying my new-to-me 2010 Subaru Forester for a couple of weeks now. It runs fantastic, feels and looks like a new vehicle. I couldn't be happier with the purchase from Exit 11 :)
Wendy, Thank you for the positive feedback. Your Forester is a great car and I look forward to doing business with you in the future. Stop by any tim...e! John
bought a truck from this dealer which was in great condition. The tires were ok but not great, John offered to put a new set of good years on . A few days... after I bought the truck I noticed the brakes were grabbing so I returned to the dealer and they installed 2 new calipers and pads at no charge. The service area of this shop was very clean and in order . Over all I had a good experiance .
We saw a car we liked at a dealership in Victor and was told it was going to auction that day and that it had a head gasket leak. After the auction, they... were able to tell us that it was bought by Exit 11 Auto in Rush, NY. My husband went to look at the car on Wednesday and the dealer (John) did not mentioned the head gasket leak. When my husband asked about it, John agreed to fix the problem for the same price he was asking for the car. My husband was interested so on Friday we called to see that they were open, since it was Good Friday and that it was still for sale. Mark said it was, but he didn't tell us that John wasn't there that day. We went and test drove it again. We decided to buy it and Mark offered to call John to see if he would be willing to come down. We didn't want to bother John on his day off, so we said we would just call him on the phone, but mentioned to Mark that we didn't want the car sold out from under us. Mark said he couldn't sell it anyways, as he was in service not sales. So, we called John and made the deal over the phone and arranged to come Saturday morning to sign the papers. Unfortunately, John called us Saturday morning to tell us that Mark sold the car on Good Friday for the full price without having to do the head gasket work. So much for Mark not being able to sell cars and I assume they got the full price because Mark never disclosed the head gasket problem to the buyer. This, by the way, is the second time this has happened to us with a dealership. I will never trust any dealership again and certainly will not do business with Exit 11 Auto!!!
Mike G. (buyer) visited our dealership on 4/1/15 to look at a vehicle. He told me he was working with another broker/dealer and we had outbid them at ...a wholesale auction on this car. The dealer he was using told him the car was at our dealership. Mike had a trade in vehicle and we could not come to terms on a deal that day, and he said he had to review the deal with his wife. Mike also wanted to pay for the entire $13,000+ transaction on a credit card (RED FLAG). As for the part about Mark not being able to sell a car, that is FALSE. Mark is the co-owner of the dealership and sells cars on a regular basis. Mike G. contacted John on 4/3/15 by phone and told him they were interested in the Subaru, Unfortunately the buyer was unwilling to pay the price that was negotiated days earlier and wanted a "better deal" John told the buyer that there was another appointment later that day for somebody to take a look at the same vehicle and that if it was still available on Saturday 4/4/15 that we could hopefully come to a deal. The other buyer came in to purchase the vehicle and was prepared to make a deal on the spot, so Mark made the deal. I am not sure where Mike G. got the idea that the head gasket was bad on the vehicle because he never took the vehicle to a mechanic and never even opened the hood on the car or looked underneath it. The buyer seems to have a track record of bad experiences at dealerships, maybe they should try and treat the dealer with respect that we give them, instead of trying to make low-ball offers and changing the terms of a deal after you had already agreed, and then turning into a bad internet review. Sore losers.
The owner came in on Sunday to finalize the deal because I was going to be swamped all week and unable to get there during the week. We closed the deal... Sunday am and I drove away in my new/used car, which I love. Thank you!
