Terrible experience.

Terrible experience. We went there to buy a car they had listed online. When we got there, it was a different car than the pictures they had posted. It had obvious differences. It was filthy and dirty. Besides numerous small issues, it literally had a giant crack running across the front windshield & obvious pieces were missing off the engine (completely different ftom their online pictures). When we asked about it, the salesman said take it or leave it. I was shocked. (It wasn't a cheap car). Tim Dahle is the first dealership I've ever been to that tried to sell me a broken/unsafe car. I felt like I was at a salvage yard. DO NOT TRUST THEIR SALESMEN. They will lie to you. They said the vehicle had been serviced & detailed. It was obvious that it hadn't. It's a small thing...buy if they lie about the small things? What else are they lying about? Verify everything if you decide to buy anything there. I definitely DO NOT recommend it.

Tim Dahle Nisan Murray Dealership: This was hands down

Tim Dahle Nisan Murray Dealership: This was hands down one of the most dishonest and frustrating car dealership experiences I’ve ever had. 1. The lies started the moment we walked in. They told us the car we came to see was taken out by a mechanic for lunch—but we literally saw it sitting in the parking lot. Seriously? Lying right from the start? 2. We had a scheduled appointment, but nobody helped us until after 4:30 PM. What’s the point of booking a time if they don’t even bother to follow through? Total lack of respect for our time. 3. The car was listed online for $19,465. After a test drive and wasting nearly 3 hours, they suddenly say, “Oh that was a pricing error, it’s actually $33,000.” Are you kidding me? That’s not a mistake—that’s bait-and-switch, plain and simple. 4. They also advertised a $4,000 IRS rebate on top of the listed price. But once we got there, they told us that discount was already factored in. How can they just assume I qualify for a rebate and adjust pricing like that before I even buy? This place is completely shady. They wasted our time, misled us, and tried to pull one trick after another. I wouldn’t trust them for a second and will never step foot in there again. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

Review for Murray UT Tim Dahle Car Dealership: I had a very disappointing experience. 1. Although I had a scheduled appointment at 3:30 pm, no one attended to us until after 4:30 PM. 2. A vehicle was listed online for $19,465, but after a test drive and spending nearly 3 hours at the dealership, we were informed that the price was a mistake and the actual cost was $33,000. This was extremely misleading and a complete waste of our time. 3. The website also advertised a $4,000 IRS rebate in addition to the listed price. However, once we arrived, we were told that the rebate was already included in the listing—which contradicts what was advertised. It’s unclear how they can assume eligibility for such rebates on behalf of customers before a purchase is even made. Overall, the experience felt deceptive and unprofessional. I would not trust this dealership again and will not be returning.

There is nothing good I can say about the experience we

There is nothing good I can say about the experience we had. The vehicle we wanted was listed online with no indication that the price was "with Dealer Financing". It was nowhere on their ad, nowhere on the listing with AutoTrader, CarGurus, or Cars.com. But when we sat down to make the deal, they came with a cash price that was over $2K more than the listed price. We declined and I came home and did my research. First thing next morning Ty (claiming to be the "General Sales Manager" wanted to know if he could do anything to change our minds, I told him to sell me the truck we wanted for the cash price we could afford. He said he had to check with the sales team to see if they could get the price down - this didn't make much sense to me since you would think that the "General Sales Manager" would be over the "Sales Team" - but what do I know? Regardless, I said fine, he said he was "actively" working on it. So throughout the day I kept checking, he kept saying he was working on it, but in truth he was just stringing me along until 6:35pm when he said that there is nothing he could do - I showed him that their add made no indication that the price was contingent on financing, but then he just played stupid (maybe he wasn't playing - but again, what do I know?). Turns out, as he was stringing me along, they sold the truck out from under me. This is not only unethical, it is by legal definition a breach of contract and a violation of fair dealing laws. If I actually gave a crap, I would sue them, but they are not worth it and we ended up finding a better option at National GMC. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere, the so-called "Forever Warranty" is not worth their xx.

Awful Service, Dishonest Upselling, and Careless Work!

Awful Service, Dishonest Upselling, and Careless Work! Took my Nissan in because my AC/heat was making a high-pitched noise. The service advisor tried to upsell me a $150 cabin air filter replacement—for a $22 part! I declined and did it myself after a quick YouTube search, which took all of five minutes. Unfortunately, the noise was still there, so I checked under the hood and discovered they had left my battery covers up and shoved the filter back in incorrectly! Completely careless work. To make matters worse, the service advisor had a terrible attitude the moment I declined their overpriced service. Meanwhile, I’m standing there looking at their upsell competition board written on the window—clearly, they’re more focused on commissions and prizes than actual customer care. If I didn’t have a warranty (that doesn’t even cover this type of service), I wouldn’t come back here at all. Absolutely terrible experience!

I am very disappointed with the honesty and integrity of this company. Yes I purchased a car as is with no warranty. They day after I purchased the car the check engine light came on. I took it to the shop. It need a new catalytic convertor $1700 bucks. Was low on oil 2 quarts low. Then they told me that timing belt is probably stretched another 6k. This car never should have been sold. I paid $5600. They new this had issues. They reset the code and was happy to get the profit from it. Buyer beware. They are more interested in a profit on time than a repeat happy customer. They probably gave the person trading this in $4k and sold them a car they marked up $6k. When I bought the car I asked if the price was the best they could do. They laughed and took $100 bucks off. Knowing that I was looking at an automatic repair to get the vehicle licensed. Yeah it will not pass the emissions test. So the $1700 has to be paid to fix the car to get it to pass emissions. Way to go Tim Dahle. I hope you are proud of your staff cheating the public out of there hard earned money. Know this I will tell everyone I know not to shop at your location as you are shady. I had the code reset and two days later it was back. So the car had to have come in that way. Its not right to sell a car that the repair bill is more than the cost of the car. I was in a bad spot and looked around and wound up on your lot thinking they have to be trustworthy they have been around a long time. Not the case at all. Again thanks for ripping me off and teaching me that lesson. I hope my loss is your gain and your happy with your business model.

I wish I could give 0 stars.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought my car from Tim Dahle Nissan Murray just over 2 years ago and was sold an extended warranty that was "highly recommended" and "reliable" from Portfolio (who Tim Dahle owns a part of). Now my car is in the shop needing a new engine. I wasn't concerned because I had a "reliable" warranty (or so I thought). They asked for maintenance records, gave them 2 recent oil change documents from a different mechanic shop showing no issues with the engine but they wanted more. My son is a certified mechanic and actually worked for the delaership when I first purchased the vehicle. He did a couple oil changes at home, receipts from O'Reilly does not show mileage information as the warranty is wanting documentation of oil changes at every 5,000 mile (when some oil says up to 10K), we do our oil changes every 3 months. And now my claim is going to be denied because i cannot prove mileage. Why did I purchase a warranty to cover nothing? Only thing Tim Dahle and Portfolio warranty guarantee is no coverage and denials. I plan on posting my review on every single social media site, telling everyone I know and my son will be telling everyone he knows and works with in the auto industry out here. Whatever you do NEVER, EVER let them talk you into buying any warranty, you're better off finding a company on your own with better customer reviews and service. And our service advisor Mark Ith has been no help at all!! We tried calling the service manager and left a voicemail 4 days ago with still no answer!

Hi Kmmahieu1979, We set a high standard for ourselves, so we are disappointed to hear that your experience with us was not a positive one. Please reach out to Lorena so we can get this figured out as soon as possible (801) 262-5521

Consumer response

The high standard you set is unacceptable. I am aware Tim Dahle owns part Portfolio Warranty and yet your company is not even attempting to help a customer. I submitted all documentation to warranty company and because the oil changes were not done at exactly 5,000 miles a couple at 6,000 and a couple at 7,000 they do not want to approve. The fully synthetic oil used states good up to 10,000 miles. The service advisor never even informed us of the denial or warranty company asking for more documentation so I have been kept in the dark for 3 weeks, no one calls to tell us anything. I have purchased 2 vehicles, my children purchased 2 vehicles and family members have purchased vehicles but never again will I ever suggest anyone I know to purchase vehicles. I am in the middle of looking for another vehicle and actually thinking of going back to Tim Dahle but now definitely will not. Your service department apparently does not know how to keep in contact with the customers.
