I hate to leave this review as I'm not the type of person to grind an ax, but I feel I should share my experience so that others will be better informed.... I bought a 2005 BMW from Gowdy sight unseen, since I'm in Colorado. I was impressed with the detail they used in their description of the car, the number of pictures they had posted, the other 5* ratings here on cars.com, and the "vibe" I got from Ryan on the phone. I asked Ryan if there was anything wrong with the car and he said it made a slight noise when the wheel turned and that there was a "small scratch" on the passenger side. I arranged to have my friend pick up the car and later my wife to pick it up from my friend's house as she was down in Dallas for the weekend. As soon as my wife got in the car she noticed that there was a loud clicking sound whenever she turned the wheel, the check engine light was on, the driver's side window didn't seal, and there was a large scratch and dent from another car backing into the rear passenger side door. When we got the car back to CO, I took it to a mechanic who checked it out and told me the check engine light as due to a faulty thermostat ($300), the awful sound was either a strut mount ($380) or struts ($1,100) needing to be replaced, the front axles were leaking grease ($570), and the rear control arm bushings were bad ($1,370). Needless to say I felt a bit burned by the purchase. I reached out to Ryan at Gowdy Auto to see if he would either let me ship the car back to him (at my expense) for a refund or go 50/50 on the repairs (not even going into the body work issues). After a dozen phone calls and two emails, Ryan emailed me back by saying I purchased the car "as is" (which is true) and refused to help out in anyway. Ultimately, it was a stupid risk to take on my part by buying the car sight unseen, but I was disappointed that these issues were not disclosed to me upfront and that a full diagnostic wasn't done and repairs made before it was sold to me.

I purchased a Cadillac From Danny at Gowdy Auto and I must say they were very easy to deal with and helpful. Danny answered all my questions about financing... and assured me we could get into the car of my dreams at a monthly payment I could afford. Thank You.

They made the buying process extremely easy and not pushy. I bought a 2006 BMW 325i from Gowdy Auto and love every second I am driving it. I would definitely... buy from them again. I Love these guys.
