The first day we went there, the car had a flat and the other tire was horrible so we couldn't test drive it. We went back and they put all new tires on... it (because the wrong tire size was also on the entire car which we pointed out). They also fixed a couple things that were wrong with it, which we appreciated. There was some confusion and were unable to complete the sale that day but we did paperwork so when we came back the third time, we would just have to go to the notary and be on our way. When we returned the third time,we were told about the "fee" the loan company was placing on Island Automotive (which we told Gene who we were using and talked to him the first day regarding it. and he said we will use who we already were approved from, we went online and got an approval, so we were ready to buy.), we give him a check that day..asked who we make it out too (the deposit)..no issues..which he was obviously irrated by as he told us how much it was. My son asked him how much gas was in the car (because we had to go to the notary) and he said "I don't know, how much is in there?" (quite rude I may add, and fyi there was enough to get a qt mile up the road to the gas station). When we walked in, we were told that he couldn't take the check as the deposit (didn't bother to tell us this when we were there the day before after we asked who to make the check out too)..we then had to go find a bank to withdrawal the money..finally was able to have him meet us at the notary where we had to complete the paperwork (which I thought we did all the day before and he wouldn't do until we went to the bank and handed him the money)..after 3 hours of the quick trip back, we were able to purchase the car..Gene did seem to change his "rudeness" while at the notary. Over all, the car seems to be good, Gene did put the tires on it and stuff. I just wish he would have been up front about the check and not been rude to us as we didn't impose the fee..it is between the dealership and bank..I may add, he wanted to do a new credit app with someone he deals with (after he found out about the fees..) I do believe they are a good dealership though. I think the price was good for the car we bought and he fixed what he said he would.
I was looking to purchase a vehicle but wasn't sure what I wanted. I came across Island Automotive and Gene- the salesman- helped me figure out the type... of car that was perfect for me and my family. He had us financed and out the door in no time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and with great customer service!
Wow, that's all I can say about this place! My wife and I were looking for a used car and stumbled on this place while we were driving around one day.... We weren't sure exactly what we were looking for, but Gene worked hard to get us into a car that ended up being exactly what we needed! The price was great, and they really worked with us on financing. It's really nice to find a dealership that isn't going to rip you off or put you into the most expensive car they can. We love the new car and will definitely be back there when it's time to replace the wife's!
I was shopping for a used car and stopped at Island Auto Group. They had a great selection all at reasonable prices. I wound up purchasing a Cadillac Eldorado... from them at a price that was below book value. I have owned my car for a year and a half and have never had a problem with it---Ever. Needless to say, I am quite impressed. Gene, the salesman, treated me like I was buying a new Cadillac. Their customer service is outstanding. I will definitely buy my next vehicle from Island Auto Group.
