Maggi Mitsubishi Hours
My experience began with a vehicle I was searching for, and found on Autotrader. It was a 1982 AMC Eagle SX4, and it was listed with Maggi Mitsubishi.... I inquired through the website, and a few days later I was contacted by Tim C. I had let him know I wanted to see pics of undercarriage, as I was concerned with rust. He assured my there was no issue with rust. After a few days of texting, I still wasn't sure if I should go through with the purchase. Tim C. said they're a family dealership, and sometimes we have to trust. He gained my trust, as I did purchase the vehicle. He had shared the vehicle was mechanically sound, and the paint appeared to be original. Keep in mind I purchased this vehicle sight unseen, as I'm from out of state, and was solely relying on the information provided by Tim C. When I received the vehicle it was nothing like described. It ran horribly, and I was afraid to take it to get gas. Paint was obviously not original, as it had overspray in engine compartment, as well as sloppy paint in door sills, handles, and molding. The vehicle was in no way mechanically sound. I took to a smog/repair shop, and it failed smog on all accounts. The shop said fluid is getting into the engine, creating white smoke through tail pipe, which is indicative of a cracked head. They suggested putting in a new engine, or a rebuild. How could their service department not now that. I contacted them letting them know I wanted to cancel the sale and get a refund. They said all sales are final, and will do nothing for me, on the premise I signed the "AS IS" form. I only signed that form, trusting the information provided by Tim C. I've now opened cases with BBB and Bureau of Consumer Affairs. They have already replied to BBB, letting them know I signed that form, and will not take vehicle back, or refund any monies. I'm hoping the Bureau for Consumer Affairs can help. They have mis-led me, and made me believe I was getting something completely different than what showed up. If BBB or Bureau can't help, I'll have to seek legal counsel. What happened is wrong, and they have to be held accountable.
I went there trusting I got a good deal. After I brought my Jeep Latitude home it leaked and took it back to be repaired. Told me I had to go to a jeep... dealer. Went to the Jeep dealer 3 times because the seals in the windows leaked and my carpets were constantly soaked. Never again.
Got a great deal on a 2017 Camaro! Paid $3,000 under NADA retail listing. Was offered new tires with the deal even though the car only had 17,000 miles... on it. Very satisfied. I even have it serviced there with no problems.
Bought I vehicle from them. They assured me it was in great shape. 1hr after I bought it the heat didn't work and 2 weeks later I'm having trouble with... emissions system. They had no comment when called other than everything was great when it left.
Paid 3000 extra for paint job, after several trips back. Thought it finally got painted right and never once touched the roof and it's rusting threw.
To the owners of Maggi Motors, My name is Jamie Shivery and I have recently bought a car from your business. My sales man was Peter and Sam did the... finance and Drew in the Service department all had interactions with me. I walked into your establishment at the end of January in hopes of finding a new car, but my hopes were not very high due to my credit issues. I was, at that time, paying on a car in my ex-husbands name, which of course wasn’t helping my credit at all. Peter asked what I was looking for and the price range we wanted and he showed us the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander. We instantly fell in love with it and knowing it had 3rd row seats, in our minds it was sold. Well Sam worked his magic and I was driving away in my, just MY, new car a couple days later. This is the first car that I bought on my own. It’s an AMAZING feeling. I have your staff to thank for that. They never once treated us like we were a pain or wasting their time. They were sensitive to my credit issues and didn’t make me feel like I was second class. They made me feel like I was the only one there and that I was as important to them as someone that came in to buy the showroom Bentley! (Which I tried to convince Peter to sell to me for $15K, HA HA HA) My point being your staff and establishment was amazing and so professional when needed, but yet down to earth as well. When we were closing on the car, my boyfriend was outside drooling over one of the black Dodge rams in the parking lot, and Todd just went right up and starting chatting with him. To me, that speaks volumes that he is also down to earth and just because he owns the dealership, he isn’t afraid to talk to a potential customer and is one hell of a nice guy. Fast forward a couple days, I contacted Peter, because I heard a tapping noise in the engine. He assured me that those kinds of engines often make that noise, but for my piece of mind, he had me bring it in to the service department. I walked in and one of the mechanics greeted me very nicely and Drew was so understanding and willing to help any way he could. I dropped my car off and Drew pulled the big ol boat loaner car around for me to drive and explained things in the loaner car. Around 3 Teresa called (so very polite by the way) and said my car was ready and when I pick it up they are going to see if we are hearing the same noise. So when I picked it up, Drew came out and listened with me and explained that the noise is normal and explained why it was making that sound. He was wonderful in helping and not talking down to me or making me feel stupid because I don’t know these things. I know that working with the public is not always easy and usually people find complaining a lot easier than writing a compliment, but I wanted to let you know that you have such outstanding staff working for you. I wanted to say thank you so very much to each and every one of you that helped me. You have no idea what you have done for me, in helping me achieve one of my dreams in owning my own car. Thank you all so very much. I really truly appreciate everything you all have done!
I got some great information on vehicles. I'm still looking but just comparing prices for when I have the money to get a car. You have a very good selection... and I would recommend your business to anyone who was or is looking to buy a car.you helped me figure out what I really needed to look at when looking for a vehicle. I was shopping around for a nice used pick up truck that would fit my needs and wants in Cars. Com . I noticed that J-Maggi Mitsubishi at State College... PA. had the pick up truck that I wanted. The pictures and the attention to details of the pick up truck help me to decide to drive to J-Maggi Mitsubishi at State College PA. The truck was very reasonable price and in show room condition. The truck was below the NADA and Kelly Blue Book price guide. I drove more than 2 hours to check this pick up truck out. My experience with J-Maggi Mitsubishi was as if they where family, I felt very trusting and comfortable know that I could depend on J-Maggi Mitsubishi to purchase this pick up truck from them. An all around great experience and would be glad to mention J-Maggi Mitsubishi of State College PA. for the great job they did.
