If I could, I would give Car Lotz a 0 star review but luckily for them yelp does not offer that feature. I took my Mercedes Benz over there and met with... Wayne (sales person) he took half xxx photos of my car and made a recommendation on the price to list the car. I was initially told to leave the car there and get a copy of the payoff. I got back in contact with Car Lotz with the documentation they requested. I had to call multiple times and send multiple emails before I could get a response on when the car would be listed. I finally decided I am just going to keep the car and I went to pick it up on 11/21 only to find damage to the front end. I pointed out the damage to one of the associates and said this damage was not present when I brought the car in. Greg the manager took over and made a call to carlotz corporate office. Greg said he would take care of this and it would not be a problem. He called me back that evening to tell me its not car lotz problem that my car was damaged on their property and good luck. This entire office is incompetent and I would highly advise any prospective buyer or seller to use my experience and never go to car lotz. I now am going to the BBB, Wavy News, and my attorney to sue them for the damages and more.
I stepped in on a tight schedule (military life) at a pretty late time at night. I recently purchased a new vehicle and had to say goodbye to the old... car, but the trade in value offered to me was grossly below my expectations for returns. Not only was the website extremely helpful and intuitive, but the service I received was straight to the point, friendly, and formal. I'm not happy with my purchase. I bought my 2011 Audi A6 last week on Oct 15th and already having problems. First, when I was driving home from the dealer... on Oct 17th after getting the keys, the oil light came on. I found this concerning because the day before, the car passed the Virginia State Inspection so I don't know what kind of shady place they get their inspections done at because how do you miss an engine that is low on oil. I emailed Gary who sold me the car and he was very nice and told me to get my oil changed and they will pay me back. I thought my problems were done but I was wrong. The next day my wife hears a strange rattle again whenever the engine is turned off. She didn't think much of it initially but said she first heard it the day before I got the oil changed. So I looked under the hood and noticed one of the radiator cooling fans has come loose from the motor and is wobbling off balance causing the rattle. I send another email explaining the problem and get nice friendly responses However, after taking it to Firestone as they suggested and paying to get a diagnostic report, I find out today that the part will not be fixed because it's not covered by their very conveniently worded limited 30-day warranty because that part is not specifically listed on the warranty. I'm furious because this car just "passed" state inspection and they didn't find this problem either? And because “Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly” is not specifically mentioned in the warranty it's not covered? Now I'm stuck with the $700 bill which I could understand more if I was telling them this at 29th day but I just got the keys to this car 8 days ago! Own up to selling a car you knew had problems and fix it.
