Let me start by saying that my family knows the Baker family personally. We are family friends with Lisa and Hal Baker from Palm Springs. Because of
our family friendship we went to Bob Baker Mazda when I bought my last car. This time my boyfriend was ready to buy his next car, so of course we went to Bob Baker Subaru. When we got to the lot it was very hot, we waited outside for awhile looking at different modles and no sales associates approached us. So after waiting on the lot, we stepped inside the sales doors and had to ask if a sales person could help us, we would like to test drive a vehicle. We were told to wait outside and a sales rep would be out shortly, we went back out to the lot and waited again for a long time. While we were waiting a couple came up and started to look at cars. Mind you we had been waiting over 25 minutes now. A sales rep finally emerged outside, only to walk up to the couple who had just walked up to the lot. They told him they were just looking and that they would be back and left quit quickly. The sales rep then turned and walked away from the lot. He didn't even acknowledge us. So, I had my son run over to the sales rep before he retreated into the cool air -conditioned office. It was very hot outside for a November day. The sales rep had a very large belly, a blue hat, and white-grey hair. I believe his name was Bob, I'm not sure that was his name because I overheard him talking to the other couple, he didn't introduce himself to us. The sales rep, looking as if we had disturbed him, walked over to us finally. My boyfriend explained he was in the market for buying a new vehicle he would like to test drive two specic modles of Subarus he had been researching. He also said he was interested in purchasing a Ford Mustang and he was comparing vehicles, but he really liked Subaru. The sales rep told my boyfriend that that the vehicles he mentioned were not avaliable to test drive. What is intetesting is when when my boyfriend had walked into the office to ask for assistance we were told that that same vehicles WERE avaliable to test drive, except for one modle that had no miles on it. After our sales rep Bob denied us any test drive at all, he told us, "Why don't you go next door to Ford. Test drive the mustang there see how you like it." Literally said have a nice day sarcastically and turned back to go into the air-conditioning. My boyfriend turned to me and said I can't believe how rude he was, let's leave. I can't believe I am ready to spend $40,000 on a vehicle and just got treated like that. I said we are not leaving after that experience. We need to speak to someone. We walked back into the office and was immediatly approached by a nice sales woman. She asked us if had been helped yet. I said, well not really, and explained to her that we had just received the worst customer service experience ever at a car dealership. She gave us her card, apologized and agreed that the sales rep was rude and unprofessional. Just a note here... although Mr. Baker has been gone for a few years now, the fact that our family friendship lead me to purcahase a vehilce from the Baker family was reason enough to return to Bob Baker's family to purchase another vehicle. I cannot believe the incredibly rude treatment we received from the sales person at Bob Baker Volkswagon Subaru in Carlsbad. No, we will not return, nor will we ever return to your car lot with the hortible treatment we received from careless "Bob" when he literally treated us like he didn't give a care about us.

I have been trying to return my VW TDI Golf and ran into a whole bunch of issues with them. They seem not to care if I was a customer anymore or not.
I probably will never do business with them ever again. On that note, I highly recommend anyone to come here NOT to a buy a car!!!!
