I read the advertisement, "2007 King Ranch F-150. $2500 under book value. Won't last long." Sounds great. So I took that to mean 'you... better buy it now before some one else does'. Took it for a drive (on a Saturday). Had some noise with power steering. Not a big deal. Needed tires, not a big deal. Interior clean but a little smoky, not a big deal. Running boards slightly damaged, not a big deal. Figured $800 needed put into it. Gave them a $100 check to hold. Salesman said ok, showed me a bill of sale and said sign here. i said there was nothing filled out on it. he said 'I'll get it later'. Well that's not going to happen!! so i got a receipt for my $100. Went back on Monday and said I had second thoughts. Did car fax and truck had a fender bender but no evidence of serious damage. Salesman said make me an offer. I said $6500 cash (at a buy here pay here) tax & title included. Salesman called owner & he said $7000. Drove it home. went for tires the next week. Shop says there was some creaking when he jacked it up. Drove it to a mechanic shop & was informed that both sides of the frame had hairline cracks in it. Estimate to repair was $2000. Went back to CARMART & discussed problem expecting a token discount. Owner said he would call dealership he bought it off of to see if they would do anything. I said go ahead. He didn't. He said I had 3 days to bring it back & was too late. Told him I would be writing a review & he said go ahead. When all said & done, I have over what book value is and still have the damaged running boards. It could have been worse, but it could have been MUCH better. BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE.
Be careful of this place they have an F from the BBB for a reason. I found a nice truck that intended to purchase and put down $500 over the phone after... clarifying with the salesman that if something changed my money would be returned. I had already investigated the car but between the deposit and my trip to pick up the vehicle I investigated the dealership and found that they had a very poor reputation. I decided that they weren't someone that I wanted to do business with and decided to cancel the purchase. They then attempted to keep my deposit by saying that it could only be a credit. Thankfully my credit card company disagreed.
Staff was awesome and we paid $3500 less on our 2010 Tahoe LTZ than anywhere else in tri state area. They explained condition exactly on phone and it... was even cleaner than what we expected when arrived. My husband did a carfax and it came back as one owner and extensive of service history. We would recommend Carmart to anyone looking for clean affordable car!! The Owner was awesome and we even came back to purchase our daughters first car recently ...2009 Acura MDX for $5900!! Carmart is by far the best dealer we have dealt with...worth the drive!! We will always come here first
AWESOME SALES PEOPLE AND THEY EVEN HELPED ME DRIVE THE CAR I PURCHASED BACK TO MY HOUSE AS I DID NOT HAVE A EXTRA DRIVE. I BOUGHT A CADILLAC ESCALADE... FOR $3000 LESS THAN I COULD FIND ANYWHERE ELSE..IT WAS TRULY A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND THE TRUCK HAD CLEAN CARFAX AND FULL SERVICE HISTORY. THEIR PRICES AND SELECTION ARE THE BEST AROUND!!
My new car runs great! We got this Nissan thousands lower than the other lots.
Worst place I have ever bought a car from. The service was horrible and they disrespected me and my family to the point where we just walked out. Would... not recommend to anyone.
this place is like a hole in the wall dealer buy here pay here place. i bought a car from here yesterday and i ended up paying almost 2x what it says on... here, ok, cash only prices on here i get that but 2-3k more than kbb. even at that i decided to give try it out and went and say these guys. the car was an audi a4 (still listed on here btw) and when i went up there they were more tha happy to help, which is the one thing ill say about this company/hole in the wall, the people we very friendly and nice. Now to the honest points. I bought the car, put 1800 down and they had me fill out papers that i had no idea what were. They let me drive away(i live about 30 miles away) and i had to go across 270. I went to work, afterwards took it to a dealership to have it inspected. I found out that i had a LEMON. this car shouldnt b on the road. it has a huge oil leak, electrical issues in just about every way (took me 30 minutes to figure out that the lights werent going to turn off or stop flashing. i unplugged the battery) The biggest thing though was that the front tire was shaved down to the wires on the inside on the inner sidewall. thinking ack (a whole 24 hours back) i could very well have died on the way home yesterday. i will be pursuing actions on various levels to get repentance for this whole thing. So recap for you reading this review---- DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CAR MART. in my opinion besides the help/sales people, this was a complete sham. you better have a mech. come with you if your seriously going to buy a car from this place. i couldnt be more unhappy, and now im stuck without a daily driver. (i left the car there so i could get home safely, i would have rathered walked than drive that car home again)
