Horrible service !

Horrible service ! 1 star I went to purchase an Audi , this past weekend 2/26. I went through the process of getting approved for my purchase ,I got my credit ran and APPROVED! Right before I was ready to pick up the vehicle ...they sold the vehicle to another party !!! Ugh !

Horrible experience with Audi San Diego.

Horrible experience with Audi San Diego. Amazing how they can easily sell me a known problem car with documented issues. 3 yrs later they still refuse to diagnose, then have the nerve to deny any and all repairs, recalls, with no facts at all supporting their claim the car is "TD1." Insane and illegal, also is stating blown head-gasket to avoid PZEV CA 15 yr warranty when the car was diagnosed professionally day I picked it up as blown turbo which would be covered and has been the focus of many class actions, recalls and other. Days later confirmed the turbo propeller broke off launching into my exhaust manifold. The recall was supposedly done for the oil suction tube that starves the turbo causing catastrophic failures, it was not. AudiSD wasted 5 months time while it was left out in the lot even cared to take a quick look but even lied to CARB about their fictitious diagnostic of a blown head gasket. They knowingly stalled and made up a story to cover their tracks from a fraudulent sale, causing me to miss my CA Reg and SMOG dates, money for towing their and back and repairs and new turbo i paid for that they were responsible for as a faulty part and under various warranties they wrongfully denied. They refuse any details, cowardly the GM, AoA President, no one cared to get involved with a call, letter, reply, nothing. After 15+ VW and Audi thus far, this experience has shown me what this brand has sadly turned into. They are not honest, have no clue about truly diagnosing a car, and they do NOT care whatsoever about the customer or their products. A wounded company driven by greed can only go one way and that is down. Sad to see but not surprised as I would be embarrassed to be and Audi employee after what I was forced to endure. Shame on Audi San Diego and Audi of America for not supporting your customers, and not believing in and standing behind your products. They are all dishonest, guilty cowards...steer clear!!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We respectfully disagree with several of the claims made. We would never knowingly sell a vehicle with undisclosed issues or fabricate a diagnosis. Warranty decisions, including TD1 status, PZEV coverage, and recall eligibility, are determined by Audi of America guidelines and system data, not discretionary dealership decisions. Our technicians document findings based on inspection results, and coverage determinations are made in accordance with factory policy. We did not misrepresent information or intentionally delay the process. We understand how frustrating vehicle concerns can be. While we may disagree on the facts, we are sorry you've had to navigate this situation and its issues.

I rarely write reviews unless the service is either

I rarely write reviews unless the service is either exceptionally good or extremely bad. In the case of Audi San Diego, my sales experience with Mario was excellent. Unfortunately, the after-sales service provided by Richard, Daniel, George, and others has been an absolute nightmare. I’m writing this review in the hope that they improve some very basic customer-service standards. I own a 2025 Audi SQ6, which I picked up in July. Since then, the car has randomly displayed error messages, malfunctions, and system limitations. In October, while exiting the highway, a “danger on the road” warning suddenly appeared and the car attempted to steer itself to the right to avoid an obstacle — even though there was nothing on the road. It was terrifying trying to keep control of the vehicle. When I called Audi San Diego to schedule an appointment to diagnose the issue, they told me the earliest available date was four weeks out because they did not have a loaner vehicle available. I accepted an appointment for December 2nd. On the day they were supposed to pick up my car, they never called to confirm, and I eventually called them myself. Only then was I told: “We don’t have any loaner cars available for you.” In other words, they were not coming — and had no intention of notifying me. I explained that I had already waited a full month specifically for the loaner. After a lot of back-and-forth, they said they could rent a car from Enterprise for me. An hour later, they called again saying a loaner Audi had suddenly become available. After wasting half my day, they finally picked up the car. On Thursday, they texted me saying they were updating the software and would contact me with more information on Friday. Friday passed — nothing. I waited through the weekend, and on Monday we called more than five times. We waited hours for callbacks, spoke with multiple different employees, and were transferred repeatedly to people who were either not at their desks or not even working that day. Every call went to voicemail. On Tuesday, I began calling again at 9 a.m. Same situation: constant transfers to unavailable employees. After insisting, we were finally told the car would probably be ready on Wednesday. I asked for delivery at 3 p.m. and requested they check the foot-activated trunk sensor, which rarely works. On Wednesday, around 2 p.m., I called to confirm. Once again, I was told the car would be ready later that day or possibly Thursday — with no plan to notify me. Since Thursday and Friday are my busiest days, I told them that if they couldn’t deliver on Wednesday, they would need to bring it on Monday, as the service department is closed on weekends. Shortly after, they texted saying they could bring my car now. Great — I just wanted the vehicle back in proper working condition. When the car arrived, I was surprised to see it had only 21% battery. I could not understand how a dealership could take your car, drive it, and not even replenish the battery they used. When I asked about it, the employee replied: “You have to ask us to charge it. If you don’t ask, we don’t do it.” I never imagined I needed to request something so basic. Meanwhile, I made sure to return the loaner with a similar charge level to what they gave me. As for the trunk sensor, the employee couldn’t get it to work even once. Their solution? Nothing. They simply said they didn’t know how to fix it and showed no concern about the issue at all. After all of this — the errors, the malfunctions, the lack of communication, the constant transfers, the missed commitments, and the overall indifference toward the customer experience — I have completely lost confidence in Audi San Diego’s service department. Going forward, I will be taking my vehicle to Audi Carlsbad, hoping their service team is more professional and customer-focused.

Lucas was very patient, friendly with my car buying experience. Answering all our questions and providing exceptional customer service. Even after Lucas would call/text following up. I must say I have never received this type of service in any other of my car purchasing in the past.

This dealership is horrible.

This dealership is horrible. We drove all the way from LA to buy a car they had. certified pre owned. when we arrived - we saw the front tire was torn / ripped with damage on rim. they told us we will get it fixed and let us know when to come back. we confirmed we want the car. guess what next day we get email - saying they sold the car - when asked how can u sell with ripped tire - it is illegal - they said - they will come back to get it fixed. so this dealership sold CPO with torn tire and let them drive off the lot. which is illegal..this dealership should be taken account of. Audi Corportate is also being informed. Stay away = unless u want the Manager - ROB - with an attitude.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m genuinely sorry for the frustration this situation caused; that’s not the type of visit we want anyone to have at Audi San Diego. I do want to clarify one crucial point for accuracy: We do not, and cannot, sell or release any vehicle, Certified Pre-Owned or otherwise, with a safety-related tire issue. If a tire is damaged or out of specification, it is repaired or replaced before any guest takes delivery. We do allow customers to buy or reserve vehicles before the repair is completed, so we can streamline the process and make it easier. We would never knowingly allow a customer to drive a vehicle in an unsafe condition. After review, it appears the damage caused during a test drive prior to your arrival. However, the communication regarding the tire repair, the timing of your return, and the vehicle's availability clearly fell short. You deserved clearer updates and a more seamless experience, and I apologize that this wasn’t handled better. I also understand how the situation with the manager came across, and I’d like the opportunity to review that directly with you and our team. If you’re open to it, I’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you personally so I can look into the details, understand precisely what happened, and work toward a resolution. I will also follow up with an email. Thanks! Eric Tracy General Manager Audi San Diego 858.549.6007

Lucas was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable.

Lucas was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. He helped with my purchasing process. This is an even harder process since I am an out-of-state customer. But, he made it so easy for everything. Great salesman 100% recommended to work with him.

Absolutely awful service.

Absolutely awful service. I came in on a Sunday and three sales reps were standing around. As soon as I got out the car, everyone scattered. When I came inside, they were talking among themselves whilst staring at us. Not once did anyone welcome us, let alone try and sell a car. I’m writing this review while still being ignored. I had intentions on purchasing a E-tron GT however I’ll stick to Porsche and get a Taycan. I posted a picture of 1 of 3 people who ignored us. I was the guy in the black M760i. I guess you have to be a certain skin color or throw money around to get someone to acknowledge you.

The difference between this car buying experience and

The difference between this car buying experience and others in past years was huge. Every aspect of it was just easy, straightforward and professional. I first looked at the car I ended up buying, on Thurs, 10/30. I pre-submitted my info for credit check by phone on Friday. I then went in on Saturday, 11/1 to pick it up, writing a personal check in the pre-arranged transaction. The entire process took less than two hours. Lucas has been super responsive in the various times I have called or messaged him. Also a call out to Jose Ramirez, who pinch-hit for Lucas when I bought the car on Saturday. Seamless transition in helpfulness and cordialness. This included a tech briefing by Sean, the in-house "Technologist". What a nice touch and great perk to help get you on the road with that aspect already "dialed in". There were follow-up calls and emails from both Lucas and Jose after buying the car. Very nice. Writing this a week later, I went in today for a few minor things which needed attention on the car. I pre-arranged to meet Lucas and Nacho (Horacio) in the Service Dept. Again, the process was handled promptly, thoroughly and quickly. Net, net - there has been a consistent pattern here of great service and communication. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone.
