    I had a great experience working with Danny at Merle Stone. He was attentive and willing to work to get me the best deal. Finance dept was great as well. Incredibly transparent which is what you want when making a commitment to purchase a vehicle. Very low pressure and had some good conversation. This is my second time working with Merle Stone to purchase a vehicle.

    Been wanting a Vette for a while now and after 2 failed attempts at 2 different dealers I decided to give it one last shot and Merle Stone made it happen, I guess the 3rd time was the charm for me, big thanks to Guy very professional and experienced in the Corvette.

    Mv Dv in the last week My first car buying experience was very "unfortunate" (I should say "is" as it's still ongoing) and all started here. Things started out well: I reached out to Merle Stone to buy a Chevy Volt 2016 and was helped out by salesman, Joel Alvarez. He said that the car would still need to complete a Pre-Delivery Inspection but is ready to go off the lot after. Also, there was another interested buyer and he told me to come early which helped me secure the Volt I currently have (or don't have...I'll explain). So I come in early the next morning and everything went fairly quick and well; I checked it out, test drove it; everything seemed fine and signed the papers (and left feeling like I got a great local deal - I drove 45 minutes). The following evening I was hoping to take it for a nice drive and found a horrendous surprise of a "Check Engine Light" - in actuality, there was something wrong with my Volt the same afternoon I drove it off the lot (according to OnStar). At this point, I'm not sure what to think as this is a brand new car (not sure if it's a coincidence that this is happening to an American car...). Merle Stone was already closed and Chevy service centers don't open on Sundays so I read articles, forums, and internet posts detailing similar issues with the new Volt, most tend to be minor in nature and I was hoping for this to be a fluke CEL. As Michael Stone said it best, it, "Unfortunately", was not a fluke and my new Volt has been in my local Chevy service for almost two weeks now. What was a CEL, turned into a part replacement, fuse issue, and now a full on battery replacement...on a brand new car. Initially, I did reach out to Merle Stone to see how myself and a brand new car could end up in such a perdicament; how a PDI and other forms of dealership vehicle prep procedures could miss "three" distinct issues that OnStar was able to quickly detect and report less than hour off the lot on the same day (making it rather convincing that the car could have been sold in this condition). I reached out to them, Joel, Sales Manager Greg, Owner Larry Stone but ultimately ended with Michael Stone. "Unfortunately," his response to my reaction and how he handled my situation; his reasoning, communication, and overall mannerism, helped me see clearly how and why I ended up in this situation. My original reaction was, of course typical, to see if I could unwind this deal (who would want to keep a brand new car with these kinds of issues?). And, "there's no cooling-off period." Sure...but for a brand new car (let alone, it happening to a first time car buyer) was unacceptable to my standards and I'm sure, by most. In the end, I was not looking for certainty, but really just wanted the option and courtesy from a business to take ownership of a problem that was beyond the customer. I feel that this whole endeavor could have been easily avoided and saved from me from my first and worst car buying experience if things were done properly and handled more professionally. I'm still out a brand new car and having to work with a local Chevy service to my new Volt going again but am not confident that this vehicle will be problem-free for the rest of the year. Looking at GM now for options in making this right..
