Once upon-a-time this was a trustworthy reliable h

How to tell the Toyota team that organizational changes are needed? Expectations are such an important part of customer service. For example I think I can still expect and rely-on driving my Toyota for at-least 250,000 miles. Much like the multiple number of Toyota’s I have owned over the past 40 years. However, on the other hand, when it comes to the the vehicle service maintenance department, that’s another story that is slowly deteriorating….Although once upon-a-time this was a trustworthy reliable hardworking place to get my car serviced. The once upon-a-time, 5 star service has slowly been slipping downward, and is now rated 3 to 3.5 star service. I will only give 2 stars today, until they can prove otherwise through earning it back. Based upon my own, more recent past experiences, not so much reliability has been instilled. This time, it was 2+ hours with an appointment to get a simple oil change (Hmmmm…Express Maintenance center?). I can only imagine how long the poor soul who didn’t have an appointment had to wait or did they get out before me?….but wait, I actually did see that they did get out before me. Does management know….What the purpose and intent is, behind an appointment? On another occasion….Two times prior to this service…I Paid for my engine air filter to be replaced, before leaving I had a suspicion that it was not done, and when I looked under the hood, yup it was not even touched. Just imagine all those other trustworthy customers that don’t even know any better. Obviously they fixed the problem, after it was brought to their attention. do they expect the customer to be part of their own quality control team? On another occasion…They wrote on my invoice no carwash. Thanks for not asking if I did or did not wish to have my carwash, and then being misleading about it in writing. Who are they trying to fool? When bringing concerns up to managements attention…it is always the same old blah, blah blah excuses. Excuses and an apology works for the one-off occasion, but not for the every time I show up mishap. For those who read this review, you can decide for yourself, however for myself, perhaps it is time to find a new place to get my Toyota serviced elsewhere. IMO a culture of uncertainty has infected this workplace. If I could only find out, what the employees actually see, but don’t-want-to-tell? Why do those other places that have a window between the customer lounge & service shop have a fairly high customer service rating; because workers know that the customers can see workers-working. I hope that I have expressed my concerns to the Toyota team, to atleast consider that organizational changes are needed. OR Perhaps seeing the star rating slip even further will motivate them. Gotta go now. I am in search of the new high five, five star, service center… just like the one, this one used to be.

Service delayed without notification. Lack of professionalism at Toyota Elk Grove Collision. Always having to get status. No return call, no email response until several requests sent.

Servicing Dept was great!

Servicing Dept was great! He was very knowledgeable, provided great feedback, ans suggestions. This helped me understand what’s happening with my car and to allow me to weigh my options. The costs to fix my transmission was outrageous, but the suggestions he gave was fantastic. He’s very friendly, great custom service!

FYI to everyone regarding Elk Grove Toyota. I’ve contacted them through their Client Care Specialist Melissa Borroel requesting an OTD quote for a new car and Ms. Borroel response was “unfortunately my department doesn't have access to give the exact OTD price.” I’ve asked who I need to contact to get an OTD price with NO response. I’ve even sent a message to the dealership via their Facebook page, which is supposed to be “very responsive” with NO help. On their Facebook page I requested the name and contact information for their General Sales Manager so I could speak directly with someone with the authority to provide an OTD cost. As a result of that Facebook message, I did receive an email response from the same Melissa Borroel which stated “I received your inquiry about additional information from our dealership. I will be following up with you soon”. Guess what? NO actual contact to provide the contact name for the Elk Grove Toyota GSM. Their Facebook page states “At Elk Grove Toyota, we strive to achieve one goal, customer satisfaction. We do this by providing quality automobiles at affordable prices while making sure our customers are never left unsatisfied. Really? You be the judge. I hope potential customers of Elk Grove Toyota get a chance to actually read this post before Elk Grove Toyota takes it down.
