The gist of this review is that my engine failed and had to be replaced but since the car is under warranty and I don't have to pay for it, they will not do the work. They are not honoring the warranty agreement. I recently bought my first Nissan. It's less than 2 years old but the engine completely failed while I was driving it on H-1 and I had it towed to New City Nissan to repair since it is still under warranty. They told me they would have to replace the entire engine and that it might take up to 2 weeks to arrive from the mainland and then an additional 3 days to complete the work. Well, that was August 4, 2025. Today is October 28, 2025 and they still have not started on my car. THEY HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR OVER 12 WEEKS AND HAVE NOT REPAIRED IT! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I will never buy a Nissan again. I keep calling and asking why it's taking so long, and their excuse is that the engine came in, but the other parts that they need have not come in. Are they ordering the parts one by one?! Or are they just not working on my car because they are losing money on it? I have called them so many times over the last few months and they didn't even bother to call me back after the first 2 weeks. I've also left messages with Courtney Tavae, their Customer Relations Manager. No call back from her either. I've asked for the managers to call me back. No one has called me back. They are just holding my car and there really isn't much I can do about it. I work all day, or else I would be over there demanding to speak to someone in person. The bottom line is that they will not honor your warranty or service your car if it breaks under warranty. I bet if I had to pay for the repair, it would have been fixed the first week. I've never had this happen at any other dealership and I recommend you look elsewhere for your car.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership September
I purchased a vehicle from this dealership September 2023. Since then I've taken the car in for its regular maintenance and unexpected emergencies. I always received 100% customer service always going over and beyond. When I have driven in without an appointment and initially told they wouldn't be able to see my car for 2 hours. I was greatly impressed when after 35 minutes my car was ready for me to pick up. The the quality of their customer service doesn't start and end in their service department. We had a very satisfying experience with our salesman though when we visited a lot to look for the call. There was no pressure and he finalized the deal that night and picked up the car nice and clean the next morning. Overall rating is 10 out of 10 and I will return to purchase another vehicle and refer my friends and family to ask for Earl at New City Nissan.

Took my car in at 9am to be seen for an issue with my
Took my car in at 9am to be seen for an issue with my window. They sent me home at 2pm I called to see the progress and they had not touched my car. I called again at 3pm and they had an update. Upon returning to the lot I found my car the the parking lot missing a window unsecured. Arthur Peter's was the tech who took my car apart, damaged a part inside my window and was unable to put it back. They told me it would be +$1400 to fix I told them I was unable to do that today and the tech told me "fix it your self then". I had to drive home with a damaged window then come home and fix it my self. I would never reccomend this location to anyone

Worst experience of my life. First they show me a 2015 Corolla because i said i was looking for something inexpensive. It was 10k above book price and i showed Gavin the assistant manager the prices of other ones that were newer with less miles he said that they just got that car and his manager wouldn’t budge on the price. I said that’s ok im not in a big hurry to buy right now and i can wait. So he had his sales guy go get a Jeep Compass. It was much better for my needs. It was newer and several thousand dollars cheaper. I agreed to the price and terms. He told me he needed my 1099 and my award letter from the VA stating i was 100% disabled. So no problem. I went straight home got him what he needed and emailed it to him like he asked me to do. About a hour later he TEXTED me I was not even worth a phone call. After I took the day off work to buy a car. He TEXTED me saying that he sold the car I was buying to someone else. Now please explain how can you be working a deal with one person then turn around and sell it to someone else? They ran my credit through lots of different finance companies now my score will be lower. I missed a day of work and I guarantee you that I will NEVER do business with NISSAN AGAIN. I just got done paying off the loan early for the last Nissan I bought. Super rude and no explanation at all just a text saying they sold the car that we shook hands on. I was lied to. When you shake hands as a man that is supposed to mean something. Well the assistant manager Gavin is no real man when he goes back on his word.

In December, I had a family situation that needed to be handled. The nearest dealership to my grandfathers place was New city Nissan. I originally wanted to get in to either a Nissan Kicks or a Nissan Rogue. I used my 2019 Camry as a trade in and I had also put a downpayment. I wasn't too happy, I left with a 2020 Chevy Spark. It was my first time car buying with my own credit and I didn't know I could still go shopping around at other dealerships. My salesmen was friendly and along with the finance manager. I just wished they mentioned I could have gone to another dealership if I didn't like the car they could offer me.

I was recently in Honolulu and needed directions and stopped in at New City Nissan. Lisa, the receptionist was so helpful, friendly and kind by printing out directions for us. I used the restroom which was very clean. The area for people to wait while their cars were being serviced looked comfortable and clean. Being from Pennsylvania, I won't be buying a car in Hawaii, but if I needed to buy a car in Honolulu, I would buy it from New City Nissan. (((Just to submit this review, I had to enter a make and model on the website, but I did not have any work done.)))

King Street Nissan keeps me informed on servicing and my agent who sold me my car Antonio H., also recently offered to install my roof racks that he helped me purchase. I just love the care of the Nissan family. Mechanics, receptionist, agents, reminders of up coming servicing. They're super friendly and helpful. What an incredible experience from Manhattan, Kansas. Our Son-In-Law and family just arrived in Honolulu for a three-year tour with the USAF. They were faced with last-minute rentals, huge rental car costs, and parking due to last-minute arrangements due to the disaster on the island of Maui. Our Sin-In-Law identified New City Nissan as having a pickup available that would handle his family of five. As we all know funds are not limitless for our service men and women, so we all threw in together and managed to get his family into the pickup without delay. Since Sunday 17 September 2023, we have worked with New City Nissan to coordinate payment through wire transfer. New City Nissan has been superb, obtaining the information needed to ensure a smooth wire transfer and transfer ownership to our Son-In-Law. We are so fortunate to work with this group of professionals who have been there every phone call and request with positive responses and suggestions. They know their profession and show it with every well-thought-out response. What a wonderful experience, thank you New City Nissan.

My truck had a warranty issue.
My truck had a warranty issue. I have 2022 Nissan Frontier crew cab with an extended bed. The sensor under the brake that helps to start the car was faulty. You had company work vehicle for over a month. I asked to have the recall part fixed and the servicing done at the same time, since the faulty sensor was on a national back order. When I got my car back, you forgot to do my servicing and my car was filthy and trashed from sitting out in the elements for over a month. Now, I also need to schedule my servicing and bring it back. I rely on my truck for my work. This is the fourth vehicle that I have bought from this dealership and it is the first time that I have felt dismissed and that my vehicle was not taken care of. My family and members of my company were shocked to see how filthy my black truck looked when I got it back. It wasn’t even a year old when I turned it in to Nissan for the repairs. This is so disturbing to me. Everyone told me that I’m too nice and not demanding enough. I really thought I had a good relationship with New City Nissan until this whole incident. I always tell people how great this company is, but now I just feel like I’m being jerked around.
