I had inquired about a truck, filled out the credit info to get financed. After I was approved and we agreed on a price, I made an appointment to come sign papers and buy the vehicle, which is 3 hours away from where I live. The morning of my appointment is when we had agreed on the price and made the deal. I was told papers would be ready so I could sign and leave. The salesman was there that morning and spoke with his manager to make sure it was a done deal. I leave work, get over half way there, then I receive a call from the salesman. He told me that he was sorry but the truck sold the night before. I'm my experience, a salesman is suppose to make sure the vehicle is still there before making a deal with someone. 8 months pregnant and I drive all that way for nothing. I contacted management and they basically said sorry about your luck. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever delt with!!
This is the reply that I sent to Kandi: Hello Kandi, I'm so sorry for this but unfortunately it does happen from time to time when working with a customer from out of the area. The Oregon Department of Justice makes and enforces the rules of automobile sales. The rules say that unless you have a signed contract or payment in full on a vehicle you do not own the vehicle and we cannot deny its sale to another person. We use a customer management system that tracks all phone calls and emails and date and time stamps them so they can't be altered. You actually emailed Tyler on Tues 3/15 at 7:59 pm saying you were going to "have to pass" on the truck because you couldn't have a payment over $400. I do show that the truck sold that night (3/15) at 9:47pm. Tyler left work at 9 pm and was unaware that the truck had sold after he left. When you and Tyler came to terms on the Wednesday the16th he was not at work which you even mentioned in your email to him. As soon as he found out the truck had sold, he let you know but because your appt had been moved from Friday to Thursday, you were already on your way but not all the way here. A vehicle doesn't pull instantly off of the websites, it can take 24-72 hours for that to happen so that explains why it was still on-line. I promise that pulling your credit one time does not hurt your rating. That will only happen if you have shopped at multiple dealers and continue shopping after have credit denied. I know this isn't the answer you want to hear but when you asked what kind of dealer we are, I just wanted you to know that we are one that follows the rules. Purchase was ok, and we love the truck. The problem is that 2 sales people told us there was a second key and that hey had the code for the door lock somewhere in the dealership but they couldn't find and Monday they would find them and mail them to us. We called 5 times the next week trying to find out if they had found them, we left messages with no return call. Called the next Monday and spoke to sales manager, was told the couldn't find them and to go to our local dealer and have their service dept. call our service dept. and we will pay for the key and the code to be recovered. Great so we think when we went in for our appointment the local dealer called them and they were told they would call back with PO number when the paperwork was done, ( was promised on Monday it would be ready). Waited for an hour and had to turn down a job because of not knowing how much longer we were going to have to wait for a PO number. Called and talked to sales manager and ask what the problem was and was treated like our time and money loss meant nothing to him and was transferred to some one named Scott who was working on the paperwork. I was informed by him that they were doing us a favor and he would get it done when he could. When I tried to explain that this was not a favor it was what they promised, he copped an attitude and very snottily said do you want to argue with me or do you want me to get it done. I work customer service and if I ever spoke to a customer like that I would be fired on the spot. I called the sales manager back to complain about his rude employee, and when I told him that when I wrote my review that I was going to say they were rude and needed to work on customer service. The sales manager (head of customer service) told me that if I was going to threaten him that he wasn't going to pay for anything. I wasn't threating him I was trying to give him a heads up so they could work on the problem. He was nasty telling me they weren't going to do anything for us and I couldn't threaten him. He had me so upset I hung up on him in tears. Is it too much to ask for that people to just do the jobs they get paid for and do what you promise people. Please get everything you are promised before you leave the dealership or you will have to fight to get it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER will we go back.
