    I bought my truck from AK Sales early 2006 and have babied it. I just sold my car and was getting a few things done on the truck (now my only vehicle). I was having an issue with the doors not unlocking with the button in the truck & my FOB. I was treated great by David and the tech that was looking for the issue was super motivated to help me (it was a break around the harness in the door - common for my truck). They also pointed out that one of the plugs underneath was causing my leak and that I should go back to did the work and have them put in a new plug (they did!). My driver, that took me to work & picked me up from work was super nice and a safe driver. I am so grateful. Thank you, Jean B.

    I'm not sure if there is enough room to tell you about everything that went wrong with my recent visit. I will hit on the high points. The multi-point vehicle report says that they checked and filled my windshield wash fluid. It was not filled. I tried it as i left the dealership and it was as empty as when i drove in. I had my ties rotated. I am not sure if they were rotated or not and they were different tire pressures, from 27 psi to 37 psi. Although i try to keep my tires up to proper inflation there is always some differences in tread wear. The sheet says all of my tires, after 3 1/2 years, are all the same depth. I am wondering if my oil was actually changed and if the inspection that they said was done was performed on my car. I need an appointment to bring my car in for an oil change. I brought it in for my 8:15am appointment and i had to call back at 4pm to find out if my car was ready. When i went to pick it up i stood at the desk of the service writer for about 5 minutes, waiting for him to acknowledge me while he typed something on his computer. When he finally looked up, he got my paperwork and told me he would have someone bring my car around. After paying for my service i waited more than 5 minutes and my car still was not brought around. I went back to find out where my car was and he has not even given my keys to anyone to bring it around. When i finally got my car the person who had brought it around got out and there was no floor mat or seat cover in my car.

    I have purchased six SUV's and trucks from this dealer and have always received great support and great service. All the salesmen and saleswomen are very nice and I have not found them to be pushy trying to get sales. I have been asked if they could assist me and I responded very nice that please let me look and I will ask for assistance if needed. I made a mistake when I ordered a truck and it came in just as I ordered it. I made the mistake on the vehicle and the dealer said no problem, we'll order you another one as you wanted it. You can't beat that service. I also find out through the years that as a customer, I need to be kind and nice also to people like sales personnel who are trying to make a living and I am always respectful to others based on my military service and in return the have always been respectful to me.

    Ordered a truck in April, we were told 4-6 weeks, that all the parts were in, and our order was accepted and in process. Four weeks passed, then 6 weeks, no truck. Finally, they said it was being made on the 12th of June, and would ship out the next day. It took another six weeks for the truck to get here. The factory had already tooled up for the 2016 model trucks on 19th of July, and we were still waiting for our 2015 model to arrive! We asked the dealership if there would be any adjustment for the long wait, and because new models were being made, but they said nothing would be adjusted. We went in to pick up the truck and the first thing we noticed was the wheels were silver, not black like we ordered. But, the Salesman said we ordered silver. We knew we had ordered black, Oh well, silver it is, I guess we can get aftermarket wheels. Then there was the bed liner!!! Aargh!!! Some plastic piece of junk bolted in, when we had specifically ordered rhino liner! The plastic liner is cheap and ugly, and we just looked at eachother in disbelief. Salesman said that it came that way when we ordered the tonneau cover. Actually, there is no reason you can’t order a rhino liner and a tonneau cover, HE just ordered it that way cause he checked the wrong thing. Opened the door of the truck, and again, AAAH! We had ordered black leather, this was more of a silver colored leather that matched the silver rims that we didn’t really like, either! Salesman said we ordered silver. The rest of the truck looked good, and we were going to take it and deal with changing out some of the things that we didn’t like. Did I mention that when they called to tell us the truck was here the price had gone UP $1700. from the day we ordered it? Sheesh! Of course they said no it wasn’t, couldn’t of been, etc. The icing on the cake was the Finance Department. I don’t know why they said we couldn’t pay cash for the truck unless we filled out their credit application anyway, even though we were sitting there with a cashiers check for the full amount they told us to bring. They typed up a bill of sale, with their credit company as the lien holder. I pointed out that there would be no lien holder, since we were paying for it in full today. The woman acted like I was crazy, rolled her eyes at me and re-typed it. Next error, she did not include our $500. deposit, Get to the bottom of the page, and our bill of sale said we owed them the balance, the full amount of the truck minus $500. which we had just adjusted. I said we couldn’t sign that, since we were giving them a check for the full amount. It was very strange but she she said it “didn’t matter what the bill of sale said", but if I insisted, she would re type it again I understand that it may not matter to HER what the bill of sale said, but it mattered to us, and we really did need it to say the truck was paid in full. One last item to mention: we got home and looked under the truck to check out the hitch…you guessed it, NO HITCH!!! We had discussed the towing capacity with the salesman, we had ordered a hitch because we tow snow machines, but of course when we called back he says “no we didn’t order a hitch”. They offered to put one on (if we pay) but somehow I don’t trust these guys to do anything right. Personally, I am in awe that they are able to stay open as a dealership, but I imagine that the vehicles sell themselves. Would I ever reccomend this place? If you have hours to kill AND incompetence amuses you, by all means, this would be the place to go! If you go here to order a vehicle, I would recommend you order random things that you DON'T want, so that when they screw it up you may get in error the things you really DO want. If incompetence does not amuse you, it would be simpler to just avoid this place.

    My family has been a customer of AK Sales and Service since 1989. Not anymore. We can look elsewhere to buy another Chevy truck. Michael Merchant, there "Service Advisor" was very rude from the time I got there. He really sounds like he doesn't like his job and complained when I wanted help. I'm getting my tires out of their storage and I will never look to them for services again. Had to pay for an overpriced tire changeover!

    Never again going there! Salesman was rude as heck. What was supposed to be a nice, quick look around and possible purchase, turned into the complete opposite! Salesman was rude when we told him we didn't want the vehicle HE was trying to sell to us. He kept trying to sell us a vehicle after we continued to pass on it. In the end told us that we'll never find anything like that vehicle, oh, and the "good luck trying to find something like this" comment made at the end. They should really learn to sell according to what the BUYER wants/needs, and not what THEY think. Another example, we wanted a standard sized vehicle, NOT an SUV! Obviously, they're not thinking about the potential customer, but of their own commission. But whatever. Learned our lesson, never AGAIN.

    We ordered a new SUV, 5 weeks later when I checked in, there was no car ordered. So, we looked at one somewhat comparable, but had a heads up display we did not have on our order ($1,000). We went to buy and sign all papers & our salesperson left to "do a favor" for his big boss. Come to find out, he's out with other customers. Chad had stepped in and could not come up with the numbers Chuck had down on our sheet. We left after several hours of waiting & going back and forth. We then spoke with Chuck about the numbers and he had done his math wrong, but would "eat " the difference. We were suppose to be on the same page and going to give it another go around. We even waited for his two days off. When we came in ready to pick up the car, they changed the numbers again. After all being said and them not budging and not standing by their price written on our sheet, my husband called it all off and we finally got our original $500 deposit back. Alaska Sales and Service is very difficult to work with. After almost 2 months of time & energy we walked out with nothing but frustration. Very dishonest company, this situation went beyond a typical car sales in the department of dishonesty.

    We were not able to order 2012 GMC Acacia as promised due to General Motors restrictions, and our follow-up to customer was not acceptable. This is why our Variable Operations Manager, Mark Caving, reached out to customers to hear their side of story, and asked what we could do to make experience right. We came to agreement on new terms for purchase and both customer and Alaska Sales and Service are very happy with outcome. Our Sales Consultant, Annex Cull, has taken extra time to explain the options of the 2012 GMC Acacia, and the customer has recently purchased winter tires after the purchase. This was great ending to very negative situation.

    I bought my trailblazer and have required some standard repairs at this dealer. It took me 14 hours to complete the sale of this vehicle and continue to struggle getting the repairs for items I have already paid for. I have spent many mornings discussing issues and now have the service organizers headed straight to the managers office as soon as they see me standing there. If they would just fix the issue and stop jacking me around, we would all get along better. WOULD NEVER ALLOW ANYONE I KNOW GO TO THIS DEALER FOR ANYTHING!
