I made an appointment to view a used sports car, confirmed my 7 pm appointment at 3 pm, drove an hour and a half to get there at 7 pm to find out the car... was at the Ford dealer for service. Waste of 3 hours. Came back the next week against my instincts (the price was too good to pass up). The car was available but had a service light on. The pictures did not show the light and no one let me know the car had a problem before I drove back down. Now, the sales team won’t stop calling me to sell me a Honda Civic. If the price is too good to be true, it probably isn’t.
Wanted to purchase a vehicle listed online (their website). Called to explain that I was interested in purchasing and if I could put a deposit down as... I live in eastern OH. Sales manager said that the vehicle was coming in the next day and were not taking deposits on it. So I explained that I was willing to purchase the vehicle today (I have preordered and purchased off plenty of other dealers in the past). He said he would not sell to me until he had the vehicle on the lot. Not sure how you can actually post a vehicle online with a price on it but it not be "for sale" or available to purchase. Needless to say I contacted Kia customer care. They explained that what this dealer was doing was "unethical" however they had no control over how they operate as dealerships are all independently owned. She explained he was probably doing this to get several people to show up the day next day when the car arrived to create somewhat of a "bidding war". I have no problem with a dealer wanting to take advantage of supply by marking up off of MSRP, however, the practice of listing a price but refusing a sale just draw in people to create a bidding war is unethical business practice in my opinion. Stay clear of this dealership.
My young family traveled from Pittsburgh to Herson’s to buy a used car that had been posted for over 80 days. Despite speaking with the used car team several... times and even checking in an hour before we arrived, to our great dismay it was sold literally 5 minutes before we arrived. The dealership wanted to make it right and hooked us up with one of their new car sales reps, Shaun Ruiz. Ask for Shaun!! We ended up with a new car - same model, trim, exterior color and interior color - for only a little more than we would’ve paid for the used car. Shaun was very friendly and easy to talk to, did not pressure us at all, was very accommodating and flexible, and got us an incredible deal. Shaun made our overall experience go from 1 star to 5 stars.

He was extremely diligent about sending me information about the vehicle and keeping in touch when I... was away over the holidays so I'd be aware of special offers. I appreciated his having come in to meet with me on New Year's Day. I would have purchased a car from Hersons but I'd waited too long, the inventory was quite small and they didn't have the color I was wanting, so I had to look elsewhere.
