    I purchased a 2020 Santa Fe, we noticed some scratches upon doing our final inspection before driving off. The salesman said they would take care of it... "just bring it back" We called several times to make an appointment and get nothing but the runaround. I will be e-mailing their General Manager.

    Leonardo did a very good job highlighting the upgrades from our previous Sonata. He was also able to get us a fair price for our trade-in, found us the... color/options we wanted quickly, and we were able to pick up our new car the next day. An overall good experience.

    Short version: Get the car someplace else. The low prices online do NOT include reconditioning fees ($3,000 for a used car less than a year old). I reached... out via their website to express interest in a 2019 Mazda CX-5 and emailed back and forth with Daniel from sales support all day Monday. I live in Indiana 2.5 hours away so I asked my brother in Chicago to check it out for me before I went up myself. He had the day off on Wednesday so he agreed to do it. Daniel said that would be fine and made an appointment for him to meet with a salesman and see it on Wednesday. My brother gets there and no one is aware of the appointment, they give him a bunch of grief about why I’m not there looking at it myself, and don’t even offer to bring the vehicle out for him to look at until he threatens to leave and tell me to buy the car somewhere else. I call the dealership Thursday and speak to Roger in sales who promises to keep an extra close eye on the vehicle until I can get there Friday night. He also says he’ll email me his contact info so I can reach him directly. That email never came. I call back Friday to tell him I won’t make it there that night after getting out of work late and ask if there has been any interest in the vehicle. He says he’ll ask the other sales people and call me right back. He never does. So I call back again and tell him I’ll be there Saturday. Of note, in the first email from Daniel in sales support he states the vehicle was “still in stock and ready for immediate delivery!” However, I was later informed they don’t ship cars unless it’s much farther than a neighboring state and that I’d have to find a third party myself to transport it. Sure would have saved me a LOT of trouble… I traded in my 2008 Acura MDX with quite a few miles on it but zero accidents. Cars.com, CarFax, KBB, Edmunds, and NADA all reported my vehicle had a trade in value of $2,800-$5,700 after taking into consideration those miles. Gurnee offered me $1,500… I ask Matt, my salesman that day, to try again and he comes back with the exact same offer. I tell him I won’t sell it for that and he brings his sales manager, Leonides, over who proceeds to throw numbers at me without explaining what they are as an “explanation” of why they can’t give me $3,000 for it. I tell him I don’t understand what he’s trying to tell me and he repeats the EXACT same thing. Now, I’m a young woman under 30 who has never bought a car before so unfortunately, I expect this from slimy car salesmen. They also know I traveled there for the car and was hoping to not have to take my old one home as well, although my fiancé was there in case we needed to. They offer $600 more so I cut my losses and take it. The price for the CX-5 advertised online was $3,000 cheaper than what I paid for it. Matt said there was a “rebate” that brought it down to the price listed online but when I was signing final paperwork there was no “rebate” and the price was the same if not more than that at other dealerships I had seen online. They kept me at the dealership for 4-5 hours with all their back and forth gathering paperwork, which by the way they screwed up at least half the time and had to redo. I later called to inquire as to the breakdown of the price since that paper somehow never made it into my stack to take home and was informed by Mike in management that that information could not be given to me, the car purchaser, via phone or email due to the company’s privacy policy. I could instead drive there again where he could explain everything to me. They called me a few days after I bought the car and told me if I left them a 5 star review online, they’d give me free all weather mats for my new vehicle. You better believe leaving an accurate review of their slimy sales tactics is worth every penny I spent on quality, custom-fit all weather mats.

    There is nothing more to say that is already been said in all the 1 star reviews. It is obvious they are padding their reviews with a bunch of fake 5 star... reviews to maintain the 3.7 stars. Notice none of the 5 start reviews mentions price. This is totally in line with the deceitful process that this dealership employs. Nothing they say will be above board. Everything they say will have angle designed to get more money from you. If you go in understanding this, you can maybe get a deal, but you will want to shower afterwards as you will come away feeling slimy.

First off, I called to verify... the price minues tax, title, license and interest rate, and then they increased the cost of the vehicle by $2,500 for detailing and other services. There is a general statement in fine print that does not specify any of this meaning they can make up the number. However, it is a number that could have been verified over the phone if they were wanting to be transparent. During my call I asked if their trade in value was similar to what Edmund's calculates, and was assured that it was. That was a lie! They only offered me a fraction of what Edmund's reported. Fortunately, I brought a printed copy and it still took multiple attempts to come to terms. The salesperson was aggressive and continuously tried to get me to agree to deals despite not presenting all the numbers in front of me to verify what he was offering. Again, there was a lack of transparency. I had to ask 4 times for my interest rate and threatened to leave if I asked once more. Then the salesman made a sarcastic comment while walking away from me. The vehicle ran nice and was definitely what I was looking for; however, the rearview mirror was broken off and they were not able to fix it before I left becasue the service department was already closed. They knew a few hours in advance that I was coming but nothing was done about this. I would have taken my old car but it is needing breaks so I didn't want to risk the drive; I live an hour away from the dealership. Today I returned to have the mirror taken care of and it took 2 hours for them to glue a broken mirror onto the windshield, and then they left a glob of glue on the windshield. I refused to leave until a new mirror was put on which I watched them do in less than 2 minutes. I promise you this is not an exaggeration. In the end they felt I had no reason to be unhappy since I got the deal I wanted and the mirror was replaced. They conveniently forget the unnecessary and frustrating process they intentionally put me through. This dealership is the reason that car salespeople have such a negative reputation because they play right into it. With God as my witness nothing in this review has been fabricated to make them look bad... they did that all on their own.

    Advertising methods seemed deceptive. Laws may allow techniques in Illinois that are prohibited in Wisconsin. Deals presented online were misleading. Responses... were not exactly timely.

    They are very dishonest! They use misleading advertising practices. Called about a specific vehicle before driving down there. Confirmed it was in.... Ask the salesperson about the advertised price and if that is was I can buy it for. He agreed and said yes. Confirmed the price twice. Drove down there just to get a higher price and the run around.

    Avoid this dealership!! When trying to finalize a deal on a used car, they added $850 to the internet price and said this was for the detailing and service... work needed to prepare the the vehicle for sale. If true, this should have been reflected in the internet price like every other dealership. Then, the Sales Manager asked me for a blank check to show the decision makers I was serious about buying the car. When I refused, he said he needed a $20 bill to show I was serious. At this point, I left the dealership and purchased a vehicle from an honest and reputable dealership. Truly, an unbelievable experience.

    Price shown is a total lie! It includes many rebates that most people would never get. Total scam. Will not go back. I wouldn’t recommend this place
