False Advertisement! Bad customer service! RIP OFF

Scheduled and appointment Jessica and was told to ask for the VIP Manager. We arrive early and nobody could tell us where this VIP manager was at. We were told to wait in the back and someone would be with us. We waited about 15 minutes. The gentleman that walked in after was assisted to see the same car we had an appointment for. I got up to ask for the manager again and was escorted to someone who did not provide his name. Asked us what we came in for and we provided the car details. He told us to wait again that he was going for a test drive and did just that and never came back to help us. So I ask for help once again!!! And and someone else came out.. to FINALLY TEST DRIVE the car. We get back and ready to crunch numbers... the price online for the car is $17,291. He gives a price $20,398!!! Stating it’s the reconditioning fee!!! And we are responsible for this fee! Ridiculous! Aside from unprofessional they try to rip you off!!!! Perhaps because they saw it was for my 19 year old son they thought it would fly... They need to communicate better and NOT false advertise. Sad!! I purchased my car from a Bob R and thought my son would have a good experience like I did. I was WRONG!

I bought a used vehicle like a year ago, I bought an...

I bought a used vehicle like a year ago, I bought an extended warranty also for fear that something would go wrong with the vehicle and unfortunately the transmission broke down, when I took the car back to the dealer in a tow truck for it to be repaired and three days later the maintenance department called me to inform me that they could not repair the vehicle that they did not have the time or the tools to do it that they were not going to charge me for a diagnostic, so that I could pay for a tow truck once again and that I have to take it to another Dear for a transmission workshop. I do not recommend buying a used vehicle from this dealer for the same reason and now that I have to renew my vehicle for a new one I am not going to this location.

I worked with Matt Carter, a sales associate with Gurnee...

I worked with Matt Carter, a sales associate with Gurnee Hyundai. I was picky, he was patient. Could have been 95 degrees plus the first day I was there. Matt showed me many great cars, went out on several test drives, was super helpful, tried answering all my questions, was honest if he didn't know the answer. He wasn't pushy and I never felt pressured. I came back the following day and worked with Matt again. On that day, I purchased my Tucsan. He followed up by phone, texts, checking if I was all good. He also helped to keep paperwork moving, ensuring I received my plates in a timely manner. I would recommend Gurnee Hyundai and Matt if you are interested, or at the least want to take a look at what driving a Hyundai is all about. I am in my 18th year of owning a Hyundai. Thank you Matt!! Shout out to Mike Volakis, one the finance managers. Got me in and out and also very helpful and easy to work with.

Horrible experience

Bait and switch at its best. Online price is fake. When trying to purchase a used vehicle I was told the car has a $1500 xzilon package added to it and was told the actual price of the car was 3k more than the advertised price. I negotiated it down to the advertised price and the price we agreed on for my trade in. I then signed a paper for an out the door price and had a verbal agreement with Roger. He went back to get approval from the “sales manager” and came back with a price 3k more than we agreed to. I was out in disgust. These people cannot be trusted. I also found out Roger lied to me about the taxes on the car. Slimy, can’t be trusted! Don’t go here.

Experience buying a car through the Hyundai Gurnee branch...

Experience buying a car through the Hyundai Gurnee branch was a nightmare. Leonides Garcia was an arrogant salesman who thinks he was doing me a favor by selling a Sonata from the start, which by the way turned out to be a lemon car due to the many non-repairable safety issues the vehicle had. My suggestion, choose other brands and stay away from this dealership.

Would give them zero stars if I could. Nothing but...

Would give them zero stars if I could. Nothing but games being played here. The sales manager actually wanted to arm wrestle for a deal! Stay away….they pull all the 1980’s tactics to try and make a deal then screw you in the end. Buyer beware!
