This is my fourth Subaru and second purchase from Manchester Subaru. Once again, I am thrilled with their inventory, pricing and sales service staff! When I buy a car, I go well prepared...armed with spreadsheets full of data. Here's what the data tells me: GO DIRECTLY to MANCHESTER Subaru. They easily beat all 12 dealerships in New England in pricing (including my trade in value)...by a long shot. Plus, they have excellent sales service... I barely had to lift a finger. The deal was made over the phone and email, and Gary even drove 2 hours north to pick up my trade and deliver my new car. The paperwork was a snap and the whole process was a easy, pleasant and professional. Oh, and by the way, I never had any service issues with Manchester Subaru and I just traded my last one in at 145k miles.

I have bought three cars from Manchester Subaru over the last 10 years. I have traditionally had a great experience buying cars from this dealership, and they even helped me get out of a truck that autofair unfairly sold me. Even my friend has bought several cars here over the years (which is why I started shopping here) and had a good experience. So we both naturally directed our mutual friend here to purchase a car. I had assumed my friend would get a quality experience from the dealership regardless of whether or not they would qualify for a car. Unfortunately, I was unaware that the dealership was changing ownership. This transition caused the worst customer experience for my friend and I will no longer purchase cars from this dealership. On my friends initial visit they were informed that they would be able to find them a car that would fit their needs (no money down, under their limit for monthly payments, and so forth). They then told my friend that they could leave and they would contact them once they worked out all the details for a car. A few days later my friend heard nothing so they called, and were told that the deal was still in the works. Fast forward to six days later and my friend and I are sitting in the GM's office (who we were previously told was working on the deal). We come to find out that the GM had no idea that this was going on. The GM listened to our concerns, advised my friend they were in transition to new ownership, got a little aggressive with us, and then advised my friend he would work on the deal first thing Monday morning. So we left with the expectation that something would be figured out Monday morning. That Monday my husband enters the dealership for service on our car. After it's finished he runs into our sales guy who kindly asks what's going on, and goes to figure out what the status of my friends situation is. Come to find out the dealership hadn't done anything about it that morning, and most likely would have brushed my friend off again. My friend, as promised, arrived that day to the dealership to find out what was going on in regards to getting a car. The dealership tells my friend that they are approved to get a car (of course my friend assumes they listened to what they said before) and sends my friend out to test drive a car. By the time my friend comes back they inform them they are only approved if they put several thousands down, which my friend made clear they did not have, and the GM ended up being so rude as to stand up and slam his chair into the table before walking off. If I, and my husband, had not witnessed these events transpire we would have been hard pressed to believe it actually happened. This dealership has lost any future business from me, and I will advise everyone I know not to go here unless they feel like experiencing torture.

I drove an hour with my Dad from MA just to buy a car from them. I worked a twelve our night shift beforehand and was exhausted but knew the process would take at least a couple hours. I was there from 10am to almost 230 and awake for over 24 hours. Most of the time was spent with us waiting in a seperate building alone while they did paperwork. Then after reiterating multiple times and double checking everything...all of my documents had the wrong address on them. The man doing this part rushed through it and now im delayed getting my car by another day since they had to drive down with new paperwork for me to sign. They also sent my insurance company the completely wrong vin number. And the man who sold me the vehicle became agitated at the end of my long appointment because he had to deliver another persons car. Not my problem and not my fault. Full of incompetence, lack of attention to detail, and unprofessional behavior. First and last time going to this dealer.

    Dealer Response

Thank you for your business and appreciate the feedback. It is unfortunate that it took so long to process the paperwork; however, the addresses were not correct due to the insurance company not having the proper information. We immediately fixed it and brought the paperwork back and assisted to register the vehicle. We certainly want you to be happy with your purchase and hope that you will enjoy the vehicle moving forward. Thanks again, Todd Berkowitz, Owner
