We have been driving MB cars since 2002 and always look to Autohaus first for buying/servicing our cars. My first encounter was when I had a 2002 ML that I was looking at upgrading. The Benz dealership closest to my house started playing the typical slimy car sales games...low ball trade-in, salesman running back & forth to the sales manager, trying to convince me the sticker price was their cost, etc... We left there & went to 3 other Benz dealerships. Autohaus played it straight and earned my business: reasonable trade-in, minimal haggle games on the new car and no funny business on the finance end (except for trying to get me to purchase wheel warranty). That purchase got me in the door as a customer, their service department and loaner car program have sealed the deal to keep me as a loyal customer from that point on. Gary Lombardi takes care of me every time I need to come in, no matter if it is a warranty issue or a paid service. He's one of the best service people I have ever met. Over the years I have talked with some of the other service people as well. All are highly professional and are 100% on their game with taking care of customers. I have since purchased/leased 6 total cars from them. I will be looking for Benz #7 in a couple of months and they will be my first stop. I always shop the price to keep them honest, but have yet to be let down. Needless to say, I don't shop them too hard any more. Keep up the good work guys. By the way, I'm in Barrington, but drive over 30 min out of my way just to deal with Autohaus. Their service department is that good!

False promises, inept certification, false info given, calls not returned. Resolution only came after contacting corporate MB. Do not buy here! We needed to pay over $800 to have all the obvious paint chips repaired, lane assist not operational...on a supposedly certified vehicle. We have owned 8 MB & never been treated so poorly. Buyer beware!!

I purchased a supposed 'certified' 2015 ML350 on July 31, 2017. The vehicle was not prepped as promised when we drove from Michigan to possibly make a deal. After driving the vehicle we decided to purchase it and completed the transaction while it was prepped. Upon inspection, I observed many, many paint chips with at least fifty(50) on the hood alone. It took 2.5 months and numerous calls to MB Corp. and Autohaus to finally get reimbursed the $846.30 it cost me to have the hood repainted. In addition, the lane detection system does work and this was a so-called 'certified' vehicle. This was a very bad experience for me and having owned eight MBs I have never been treated so badly as this group treated me. I would never recommend them to my worst enemy, if I had one!!!

The Good. Have driven Mercedes E350 for several years, bought at Autohaus on Edens in Northbrook, IL.. Great car, great service. Have been pleased with a whole thing particularly a service manager named Ken Dunaway, consistently friendly and helpful. Went in for routine service recently. Ken provided a 2017 loaner for the day. Loved it. Asked Ken a few questions and he was particularly helpful. Decide to buy the 2017. The Ugly. Friday, 3/24, went back a couple of weeks later with my wife to show her and pick out colors. Knew exactly what I wanted. Had appointment at 4 PM. Salesman decided to tell me all the features, demonstrate and upsell me on options. I told him to stop with the technical and the options and that all I wanted to do was buy. This was a veteran salesman, no rookie. After two hours at 6 PM he advises the dealer was closing and to come back tomorrow. This was the ugly of the preconception of a car salesman. Told me about everything he needed to say without once asking me what I wanted to know and when offered shut me down. The Bad. No way I'm going back to see him again. Lost customer. Now I have to start over again with a new dealer.

I stopped into Autohaus looking for an ML 350 for my wife. The particular car was in the shop getting certified and not available to see. I was given information on it which included a printed paper with the entire price which included all fees and taxes. The next evening I brought my wife to look at it. On arrival, the first thing we inspected was the rear lift-gate which didn't work and made scratching and grinding noises. Supposedly it was in the shop getting certified earlier? Based on the original tires and lift-gate situation, the Certification appeared to be "pencil whipped". The test drive went well but shortly after leaving the dealer, the low fuel light came on. Upon return and sitting down to complete the paperwork, Phillip the salesman pointed out the price had been increased since yesterday. Also, he had transposed the mileage and price so the car was actually $36,000 total and not the $33,140 we had agreed on. The car had 30,850 miles on it. Phillip had also implied earlier the price included two extra years of warranty and service, now he told us it was an additional $3495. On my total price paperwork, he wrote "two additional years of maintenance". After wasting a long drive to see it, there was no choice but walk away from the deception and the condition the car was in. Why would I pay thousands extra just to have to get it fixed on my time? As a retired military General Officer and pilot, I had to be on a plane early the next morning. Thanks Autohaus for totally wasting our time with your lousy "certified maintenance" and deceptive sales tactics. We assumed the dealer was honest and would abide by the integrity tenants listed on their web site under the heading "Why Choose Autohaus on Edens"? They failed to do that. Additionally, I never received a follow up from the general manager like I have at other luxury car dealers in the past. Maybe they could make you feel good and you would overlook their wise guy shenanigans. Maybe you don't mind being deceived, wasting money, and possibly overlooking ethics, but not me. The best advice to anyone looking to buy a car there is CUSTOMER BEWARE..
